Redemption and preservation are long-standing themes of Creed. But even at the peak of their popularity, it's doubtful the hard rock giants thought their music would save a boy from a pack of nature's most vicious creatures.

As reported by the Spiegel news outlet, 13-year-old Walter Eikrem came across four wolves -- a large issue in Russia and surrounding areas as of late -- as he was returning from school in Norwegian municipality of Rakkestad . To combat the wolves, the boy began to play a Creed song on his mobile phone, scaring the wolves away.

"The worst thing you can do is run away, because doing so just invites the wolves to chase you down," Eikrem said. "But I was so afraid that I couldn't even run away if I'd wanted to."

The boy began to play the Creed song 'Overcome' on his phone and proceeded to yell and thrust his arms around. "They didn't really get scared. They just turned around and simply trotted away."

Wasn't creed it was Megadeath.
A 13-YEAR-OLD Norwegian boy saw off a pack of wolves with a blast of heavy metal music from his cell phone, music website Zvuki.ru reported today.

Walter Acre was walking home from school in the central municipality of Rakkestad when he found himself encircled by the four snarling beasts.

But just as they prepared to sink their teeth into the petrified youngster, he pulled out his mobile phone and cranked out a song by US metal legends, Megadeth.

Walter had previously been told not to run away from wolves but to face them and attempt to scare them away.

And sure enough, the tactic worked as the thrash guitar music sent the animals scattering in confusion, Zvuki.ru said.

The Russian music website said that Walter made it home safely, using one final blast of music to see off a stray wolf that was prowling close to his front porch.

Well i'm not an animal and don't have super hearing and I have trouble not running away from Creed songs too. Awful stuff.

Which is wierd because I like Alter Bridge, go figure.
Not weird at all, Alter Bridge are a completely different band in terms of the kind of music they produce, a lot more depth. Creed on the otherhand are your generic as fuck arena rock band.

Scott Stapp would scare me away too, just sayin'

Having owned a Creed album, given as a misguided gift, you have to ask- is their existence really worth one boy's life? If they saved, say, an entire people from genocide, I'd maybe grudgingly accept their existence. One just doesn't seem worth it.
