This is my show now
I suspect you are right with all the WWE backstage shills coming out of the woodwork to complain about her booking. Besides the main-event of WM, she got a dream match against Trish Stratus, was captain of Team Raw and is tied with Bayley for 2nd most singles PPV matches this (which only 1 was over 3 stars - and when she won those matches she won by pinfall over Becky and tapping out Trish and Bayley, but when she lost it was by DQ or putting over the turnbuckle). Any reasonable person can see the strong booking she gets without being over, without selling merch, and half-assing her job, but now the backstage shills are telling you what your eyes see is not true and that she has been booked badly for a year and will 'deserve' being on the WM card over the wrestlers you want to see. This basically reeks of Vince trying to create smark support for Charlotte cause smark crowds don't like her (boo hoo). Has he ever gone to such lenghts for anyone else? As in, whenever Cena, roman or anyone else he liked didn't get the reactions he liked, he would often keep pushing them or simply toss them aside. Charlotte is the only one for whom he ju8mped through all sorts of hoops booking wise so as to try and make sure he can keep pushing her and convince people that he is right to push her. Why such lenghts?
So Charlotte basically all but confirms she's been half assing it for a year because she didn't get that singles match with Ronda (even though she still got to enter to that main event as champion when anyone else in her situation would have simplybeen taken off the card) and the backstage wwe ass kissers defend her and decry it as an injustice; but when Moxley half asses it, he gets called lazy... interesting... Also, she just took a two months break off the singles picture and yet, SvS was about Becky vs Shayna (featuring Bayley as the sacrifical lamb for NXT) and Charlotte captaining the RAW team, and now they are possibly going to have the tag titles match be the main event of the TLC PPV and there's no going to be RAW title defense. What backseat? She is still the fucking centerpiece of the division alongside Becky.
If she feels 'not important' it shows that no amounts of strong, protected booking can make up for a lack of charisma. The last time she tapped out on PPV was in 2016 in a tag match. Becky tapped out at the RR and the fans still cheered her name to win rumble and face Ronda. Asuka tapped out at Mania then jobbed to a jobber and the fans still cheered her name to face Ronda at SvS. Whereas she was rejected for a one-on-one against Ronda at Mania even after having a match with Ronda at SvS.
