both shows started with one hour, one started in 93 and the other in 95 but both shows set out to change wrestling forever in their own way
Raw had Steiners vs Masked Jobbers, Yokozuna vs Koko B Ware, Michaels vs Max Moon and Taker vs Demento
sumup: a regular tag team squash, a squash between two established guys, a decent non title match and shite main event
Nitro had Liger vs Brian Pillman, Sting vs Flair for the US title and Hogan vs Bossman
sumup:Cruiserweight action, main guys competing for a midcard belt and a throwback main event
Raw had Mike Tyson on the phone, buildup to the royal rumble, bobby heenan in drag and promos all night that helped make the show feel like 1 and a half hours longa ll in a tense little venue in New York, a step down from a company that had 93,000 attendees in Detroit
Nitro had the amazingly suprising appearance of Lex Luger, a unique venue in The Mall Of America and a star studded lineup of matches.
How good was the first episode of Raw? i personally thoguht it was pretty good, it did its job and it wasnt boring for what it was besdies the main event
How good was nitro: it was suprsing, the wrestling was questionable and it certainly kicked off something on multiple levels that wrestling fans didnt think was possible. Not sure what to think of this to behonest
what do you all think?
