Cody Rhodes made his WWE debut as a babyface. It wasn't until June 2008 at the Night of Champions PPV when Rhodes ditched his mentor Hardcore Holly in favor of young upstart Ted DiBiase, Jr. Today, Rhodes is one of WWE's most hated heels but what was Rhodes like as a babyface? IMO, he was bland and boring.

Yes. He was extremely boring up up until he turned into "Dashing" Cody Rhodes.

Remember when he had that feud with Orton over his dad? Oh Cody Rhodes, you were so awkward back then...

Yep, but once he started as "Dashing" his heat level grew and now that he's disfigured, his heat level exceeded more than he was dashing.

Well he seemed to get a good amount of heat straight away in this vid.

And it isn't dated either. This is from the most recent SD house show in Paris. Always talented but getting over has always been Cody's biggest challenge imo (he did well with his 'Dashing' gimmick but it was difficult to despise). Now he has a gimmick that's difficult not to hate somewhat because of his intentional monotony and annoying breaks in his voice. Plus, he knows how to use cheap heat well :p

Yeah, I saw that video. Even the French crowd knows how to say "You suck!" in English.
