theres probarly already a thread about this but dont you just love it when wwe refers back to the past considering they do it quite rarely in terms of actually showing footage of the opponents in different roles CM Punk was face and RKO was heel and now its the other way round... funny how things work out isnt it?

I laughed wholeheartedly when King said that Punk should fight Randy one on one like a minute after we saw the 4-on-1 (technically 2) beat down by Pre-Legacy on Punk. I know this isn't what the thread's about but I really hope King's close to retiring forever.

I'm just guessing here but if at WM it is Punk v Orton I see Orton going over, seeing as how ass-backwards WWE is with Punk's feuds.

Kind of. Then it dwindled down during the Legacy buildup and then his face turn started after he pretty much disassociated himself from Legacy.

Yeah, I think the interaction between people who have been heels/faces in the past can also be weird. After Cena appeared during Edge/Miz match and cost Miz the match, Edge signalled up to Cena when leaving the ring and Lawler said something, "Edge waving to his old buddy!" when the two used to beat the crap out of each other a couple of years ago!

As for the thread, I thought it was quite a nice touch and unexpected. I'm disappointed Punk probably isn't going to be main-event Mania, but I'm willing to give the Orton feud a chance. They've got plenty of time to build it up and hopefully they make something memorable from it!

I was a little surprised that they would show Orton back in his heel days, doing heelish things, since he's the #2 face in the company now. However, I think it was great, and it makes me thing WWE is really serious about building an awesome story for these guys. What a great angle for a feud! The idea that Punk harbored this animosity for 2 years and plotted his revenge makes him seem like even more of a psychopath than he already was.

And to make it more interesting, Punk has a valid justification for his actions. It's just good storytelling, which is something you don't get much of in WWE these days. Man, I hope they don't screw this up, because it has the potential to lead to an absolutely EPIC showdown at WrestleMania.

The guy above me is 100% correct... This feud between rko n punk can turn out really well.. These are my two fav guys in the company right now, so im expecting great things... By wrestlemainia everyone will be thankful this feud happened.

That was Cole who said that lol but yeah i mean in the final stages of their fued in 2009 Edge said numerous times that he hates Cena lol
