Apparently Hunter and Joanie had been having issues and were in an on-off phase when Steph and Hunter started up. And Stephanie had no control over Chyna leaving. She didn't like how her new contract negotiations were going.

But why is Chyna needed by WWE? She can't work, can't talk, can't act, nor is she very attractive. What use do they have for her beyond her sullied name recognition?
