We all know this is scripted entertainment and these guys are just playing television characters...but sheesh, how does Cena say that and keep a strait face? The best? Slightly above mediocre at best. That whole segment was so rediculous. Cena and Lawler are both such a joke. I do enjoy Punk calling them out on it.

Put it this way. When it comes to wrestling ability, Punk in "superhero" terms is Batman, Cena is probably Aquaman.

If we look at it kayfabe wise. Cena is pretty much the best today. So what he said is actually true, kayfabe wise.

If you dont agree, just tell me someone else that is on the roster today thats actually done what Cena done.

What you think of Cena in reality is not interesting.

Cena IS the best in the world today in that context, he's the top guy and the biggest drawing card. Much more believable than Punk saying it.

Again, the stereotype that only 'technical' wrestlers can be the best. What he said is pretty much what the casuals have believed all this time, and why should they not?

Love him or hate him Kayfabe wise he IS one of the best....the title reigns and major feuds and storylines he's been involved in e.g Nexus,Rock,Lesnar just to name some of the most recent all speak for themselves.

Totally not seeing the big deal. He said that he believes that he's the best. And to be honest, I thought that was one of Cena's better promos the past few years. Some of y'all are taking this blind mark shit to another level.

What was he supposed to say? "CM Punk, you are the best in the world and I admit you're better than me"? At least the lie he told is closer to the truth than the quote I put together.

And whether you like it or not, Cena IS the best in the WWE now with Jericho gone from the full-time roster. He's probably the only guy who has it all in the current roster including ring skills, mic skills, crowd reaction, drawing ability and the look of a real main eventer.

The only person who comes any close to Cena in the current roster is Orton, everyone else is like a joke in comparison to him.

All Cena's doing is stealing Punk's spotlight. In real life and in kayfabe. Cena talking about how he never had to demand respect is a joke. He got everything handed to him. Punk's been World Champion for almost 10 months and he hasn't main evented a single PPV in 2012. He's got everything to complain about. Cena had nothing to complain about.

And :lmao at anyone calling John Cena the best in anything. Wow, that VKM Kool-Aid must have rubbed off and brainwashed you all over the years. I guess if you say something enough, it really does become true.

Cena is a douchebag!! He always has to make himself look dominant and makes everyone else seem inferior, w/ exception of Dwayne. No matter who he feuds with, he always kills his opponent with smirks and fake-seriousness, except Big Show b/c he's supposed to be the big, unstoppable giant

I absolutely believe that Cena is talented and great, but I hate the way he can never truly make his opponents look like serious threats. Cena buried Punk's 9-month reign with his "I was champ for 380 days" comment. And then Cena said that NoC will be in Boston, his "turf." Did Cena forget that Boston hates him!? :lol

Final segment of Raw was good, but it reminded me of why I hate Cena so much along with half the fans in attendance in every big-city area WWE visits.

Should I even watch NoC? Cena will win and, if he loses, it'll be b/c of shenanigans. No matter what happens, WWE will always paint Cena as the best. Same crap since mid-2000s.

In terms of kayfabe, he is pretty much the greatest. Multiple (lengthy) World title reigns, numerous Wrestlemania main events, MITB winner, Royal Rumble winner ... the only currently active championship that he doesn't have on his resume is Intercontinental Championship. The guy has practically done it all, which is why they should book him as The Undertaker's opponent for Wrestlemania 29.
