it's good that he lost and finally gone , but a clean win last night and especially in that way wasn't necessary , beating Cena clean should be reserved for new coming talent not for talents who are already established ,

Worked for me since it was a 'shock' return which often lands the upset win.

It makes sense, because Cena was obviously needing time off, and they need someone to continue to carry what Cena had, so Del Rio beating him the way he did, made Del Rio look strong and carry on where Cena would have done instead.

True but either way, they always have Cena beat young talent even when they take him to the limit.

I would've actually preferred Cena just disappearing off TV for months with the belt instead of Del Rio beating him. If Lesnar can do it then Cena can as well, especially since it's not as big of a deal because it's a mid card belt.

I disagree. I think the shock factor of Del Rio returning (literally everyone was surprised) and the fact he won cleanly was enough to show it was the right decision. But that's just my opinion. I would've enjoyed seeing someone else go over Cena, but all things considered I was not disappointed with Del Rio at all.

I don't have a problem with Cena loosing clean to Del Rio. The guys been booked to look invincible for the last 10 years, he can handle a clean loss. However I'll bet that Del Rio is the first person that he beats when he comes back.

Gotta make Cena look strong dammit!!!!!!!!

It just goes to prove what I've been saying about Cena since they let Kevin Owens beat him and then turned him into a midcard geek. John Cena is a midcarder. If he wasn't, Kevin Owens would be the WWE Champion right now instead of the Intercontinental Champion. This says so much less about Del Rio's place in the company than it says about Cena's. Del Rio is just another guy, while they've basically made it impossible for Cena to create a new star. The only main eventers now are part timers. If you want a rub, you've got to get it from Brock or Undertaker, and good luck on that.

WWE has managed to nullify 10 years of complete dominance in the blink of an eye. The incompetence is staggering.

Everyone forgets Cena is on the tail end of his "Push". He will be always made to look strongish, but it's not the same Cena that can't lose every now and then. There hasn't been a year like this one when he has loss clean to people like ADR, Owens, Lesnar.

And his stock is so high that he could lose to Adam Rose tomorrow and still be in the title picture the next PPV and no one would bat an eyelid.

It would have been just like WWE to bring Del Rio back, and job him out to Cena in his return match.

Was good enough for Bryan.

He should have lost to someone more deserving :cesaro

Wonder how many times he'll beat ADR clean when he comes back.
