I was thinking that Cena probably has come close to beating the Rock on championship wins so this thread is helpful. Cena may have tied on World championships with the Rock, but in the modern era of professional wrestling championships change hands more frequently. Also, the point that John Cena has been in the company longer than the Rock may add to this. I think they really went for Cena in the early days and slightly liberal when giving him title wins, as opposed to working over the course of a longer stretch of time - which I think has worked him into a bit of a spot now, because if they give him many more title wins it really won't make him appear better - most probably the opposite.
The fact that I am claiming that Cena winning as many titles as the Rock maybe down to a surge of head rush by the creative team is saying nothing detrimental about John Cena's dedication, which is one of the highest in the business, clearly.
Also, titles are important within wrestling, obviously, but they should not define a wrestler. David Arquette has held a world title afterall, let's not forget.
