If your seeing a box with a red x, odds are its an old topic someone brought back.

I think u have to go to options in ur user CP. There should be a section that says something like:

Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images

Make sure evrything is checked.

Its your firewall. stopping you to see the pics. if still new.

It could be any of the above, although I suspect the firewall issue is the least likely one. The first point refers to pictures (in the WOW section, most noticeably), the second suggestion refers to images in signatures as well. For example, under my post you should be able to see a blue banner.
