Cameron Grimes hasn't appeared on TV in several months but his main roster debut is imminent and he's been working hard to get in the best shape of his life.

The former NXT star is officially done with the NXT brand and, as reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he is just waiting on creative to come up with plans for him.

As seen below, the former NXT Champion is ready for his debut, which is likely to happen after WrestleMania weekend since that is typically when the new main roster stars debut.

Grimes is a former NXT North American Champion and he was regularly in the mix with names like Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and others. Prior to his time in NXT, he wrestled in Impact Wrestling where he won the X-Division Championship.

On 2/24, Grimes defeated Ashante Adonis in a dark match before SmackDown. The last time fans saw him in NXT was against Joe Gacy.

Looks pretty jacked. Definitely miss the 'looks like he crawled out of a trailer park' character, it wasn't the most unique but it was a lot of fun. Gonna make the Cave-In look a fuck more impactful if he can still get up as high--I imagine so, but he has the small package driver and a couple other cool moves as fallbacks.

Yeah he looks in better shape which for his health is probably good and am glad for him there, but for his wrestling look he looks entirely generic and like a caw now, rather than having at least a bit that stood out like he did before

Looks good. Glad he’s taking the opportunity seriously. It’s almost ironic though, he looked more unique and stood out a bit more when he was pale-ish, with the hairy chest, and less physique.

but this will get him further, and give them more reason to push him.
That's part of the deal.

Paul Levesque is into wrestlers being in shape as much as Vince, but for different reasons. Vince wanted larger than life physiques; for Levesque he wants athletes and a show of dedication to the craft. It's why so many of his favored NXT performers are absolutely shredded.
