The Black Abyss’ Match

Elimination Rules War Games Match- Losing Team's GM Must Leave RAW:
Team Austin (Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels, Scott Steiner, Mick Foley)
vs.
Team Bischoff (Triple H, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Christian)

The lights in the arena dimmed, and the structure known as the War Games cage was lowered over the two rings. Howard Finkle read off the rules for the match, and the lights went off again as the superstars made their entrances. It was pretty cool, as all the wrestlers made their entrances with nothing but a spotlight shining on them, and their theme music playing. It added a lot to the drama. When both teams were at the ring, they conversed with their teamates about who would be first to enter. Chris Jericho went in first for Team Bischoff, and Rob Van Dam in for Team Austin. The lights then came back on, and the bell rang. A 5 minute clock was placed in the center of the screen for those at home, and the match began.

Jericho and Van Dam circled eachother to start, then locked up. The struggle for power was even, but Van Dam broke up, and kicked Jericho in the shin. Jericho grabbed his own leg, and Van Dam kicked the other one. RVD then kicked Jericho in the chest, which left a red mark. Jericho got up though, and tripped RVD, sending him down to the mat. Jericho began stomping Van Dam, and when RVD got up, Jericho hit him in the face with an enziguri. A pin attempt got 2. Jericho slowly dragged Van Dam up, and slammed him to the mat with a scoop-slam. Jericho then lept up and hit an elbow to RVD's heart, and pinned him for a 2 count. Jericho then stood up, but Van Dam got him with a surprise roll-up. Jericho kicked out, however, and slapped RVD in a leglock. Van Dam struggled for over a minute, as the crowd waited to see who would enter. Van Dam escaped just as the 5 minute timer went off, and Randy Orton entered the ring.

Randy Orton slowly entered the ring, and as Jericho prepared to meet him, RVD kicked Y2J in the back of the head. The crowd popped for that, but quickly quieted down, as Orton charged Van Dam and hit him with a clothesline. Van Dam got up, and when Orton whiped him into the ropes, he lept over and into the other ring. Orton and Jericho followed, and Jericho managed to grab ahold of RVD. Jericho held RVD's arms, while Orton puched him in the face. Orton then slapped RVD, and RVD reached out and kicked him. Orton looked pissed, as he grabbed RVD, and whipped him face-first into the cage. RVD hit hard, and as he fell Orton picked him back up, rubbing his face into the unforgiving steel. Orton went for a pin, but RVD kicked out. Jericho slowly made his way over to the other ring, as a member of Austin's team would soon be entering. We went back to Orton and Van Dam, where Orton hit RVD with his old finisher, the O-Zone. A pin attempt got another 2 count. The buzzer then went off, and Scott Steiner entered the ring.

Steiner rushed Jericho, knocking him down with a forearm. Jericho went down hard, but got back up to his feet, staggering Steiner with a drop-kick. Rob Van Dam eliminated. Steiner floors Jericho, but Orton comes in, and trips him up. Steiner goes down, and the buzzer rings, Christian entering to make it a 3-on-1 advantage.

Scott Steiner stands, and all three members of Team Bischoff stare him down. He glares back, and Christian runs forward, diving at "Big Poppa Pump." Steiner catches him, and throws him right into the cage. The fans go wild, but Jericho quickly silences them by teaming up with Randy Orton to take down Scott Steiner. Steiner gets hit hard from both men, and crashes to the mat. Orton, Jericho, and Christian all begin pounding away at him, kicking him with their boots. Christian goes for a pin after a while, but Steiner kicks out. They slowly let Steiner rise, and Jericho hits him with an enziguri. Another attempt at a pin gets two. Orton rams Steiner's head into the cage several times, and Christian runs and hits a dropkick on him. Jericho then hits a few chops on Steiner, who grits his teeth in pain. Orton gets sent into the cage by HBK, and falls to the mat, while Christian and Michaels brawl it out, Michaels taking the advantage. Meanwhile, in the other ring, Steiner begins to wear down Jericho, who was the first man in. Orton runs at HBK, and goes for an RKO, but Michaels sends him over the ropes and into the other ring. Christian eliminated. Orton gets up, and looks wearily at Michaels, who gets up as well. Orton then enters the ring Michaels is in, and the two exchange some right hands. Jericho is falling to Steiner, who picks him up for a powerslam. Jericho slips off Steiners shoulders, and kicks him down to to mat. The buzzer goes off, and Triple H enters, the final member of Team Bischoff.

Shawn Michaels rises, as Christian leaves the cage. There is an electricity in the air as he stares down Triple H, his long time rival. The two eventually lock up, as Steiner battles with Jericho in the other ring. Steiner is dominating, and he picks up Jericho and tosses him into the side of the cage to the delight of the fans. Jericho has a cut on his forehead, and he's openly bleeding. Steiner picks him up, and slams him into the cage again. Meanwhile, Triple H and Shawn Michaels are battling in out in ring one. It's fairly even, with Michaels having a small advantage. Suddenly, Randy Orton flies off the top rope with a dropkick and nails HBK in the back. Michaels goes down, and Orton leaves him to the mercy of Triple H, entering the ring with Steiner and Jericho. Steiner is dominating, but Orton hits him with a russian leg-sweep. Jericho collapses against the side of the cage, and Orton begins pounding on Steiner. Orton and "The Game" double-team Michaels, hitting him with everything they've got. A piledriver by Orton gets a VERY near fall. Jericho struggles to get up in the other ring, and suddenly, the buzzer goes off. In comes Mick Foley!

The crowd absolutely erupts, and the Hardcore Legend himself levels Orton with a right hand. Triple H then goes down, and Foley tackles Orton, and begins laying the smackdown on his candy ***. Foley gets off of Orton, and Triple H goes for Foley, but Foley catches him with a Double Arm DDT! Foley is going nuts! He enters the other ring with Jericho, and counters the slow punches Y2J throws. Jericho goes for a dropkick, but misses Foley because of his fatigue. Foley then reaches into his pants, and pulls out Mr. Socko! Jericho gets up slowly, and when he turns around, Foley locks in the Mandible Claw! Orton tries to make the save, but HBK manages to hold him back. Jericho goes down slowly, and after struggling for a few moments, he submits! Chris Jericho eliminated. It's now an even 2-on-2, and Foley is on fire. Orton comes over, and goes right after Foley. The two begin brawling, with Foley having a small advantage. Shawn Michaels and Triple H are still going at it, working on the mat a little bit. Michaels slowly gains the advantage, and hits "The Game" with a DDT. He then looks to the hot crowd, and climbs to the top rope. He leaps off, and drops the elbow on "The Game!" He struggles to make the pin, and the referee outside the cage counts, 1...2....Triple H kicks out! Michaels can't believe it! He gets up, and begins tuning up the band. Randy Orton stands, a small amount of blood trickling down his face. He raises his hands in victory. Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels has gained the advantage over Triple H. He plants "The Game" with a scoop-slam, then goes up top. Randy Orton sees this, and runs in. Michaels leaps off, and catches Orton with a crossbody! 1...2...Orton barely manages to kick out! Michaels rises first, and Orton soon follows. Triple H is slowly rising in the corner. HBK takes Orton, and whips him into the corner with Triple H. The two collide, and when Orton stumbles back, Michaels bounces off the ropes with a swinging neckbreaker! Orton goes down, and Triple H is slumped in the corner. Michaels then picks up Orton's legs, and locks in the Sharpshooter! The crowd remembers the last time HBK used a Sharpshooter at this event, and go crazy. Orton struggles, and Triple H slowly picks himself up, and stumbles towards Michaels. Just 2 seconds before he can break it up, Randy Orton submits! Randy Orton eliminated.

The crowd goes nuts, as it's now a 1-on-1 affair. Two men, involved in one of the greatest rivalries in wrestling, are locked in a cage. The two stare eachother down, a small amount of blood on Hunter's face, and the two immortals lock up. Triple H has the advantage with his superior strength, and the fact that he entered before Michaels. Triple H takes HBK and throws him into the ropes, the hits a high-knee. Trips then takes Michaels and rubs his face into the cage, then throws him into it. When Michaels slides down the side of the steel blood is seen dripping down his face. As he rises you can see that he bladed pretty deep, and blood begins coming out, making his face crimson mask. It gets in his hair, and a bit on his chest. Triple H takes Michaels, and whips him into the ropes again, before hitting a spinebuster. Michaels grabs his back, and HHH pins him, 1...2...kick-out! Michaels sure has a lot of heart, as "The Game" picks him up again, and hits him with a suplex. Another pin attempt gets only 2. Triple H goes into the ropes, and drops the knee on Michaels Ric Flair-style. Another pin also gets 2. Triple H then picks up HBK, and throws him into the other ring. He places Michaels in the corner, and stomps on his knee a little bit. Triple H allows Michaels to rise, then kicks him in the gut, hooks the arms, and nails the Pedigree. 1......2......Michaels kicks out! Michaels kicks out! Triple H can't believe it! Triple H slowly rises, and picks up Michaels. He hooks the arms, and goes for another Pedigree, but HBK flips him over his back! Triple H rises, Sweet Chin Music! Michaels falls backwards, on top of "The Game," 1...2...the lights go out.

The lights stay out for about 30 seconds, and when they come back on, a massive man is standing in the ring. It's Batista! The referee is out cold, and Hunter looks up, sees Batista, and grins. Batista picks up Shawn Michaels, and delivers an absolutely massive sit-out powerbomb! The crowd erupts in a chorus of boos, and Batista sets Triple H on top of Shawn Michaels. Just as Batista is about to leave the ring, Goldberg comes through the crowd, and enters through the door! He takes one look at Batista, and plants him with a Spear! Batista goes down, and Goldberg stands tall. In the other ring, the referee slowly begins to count, and Goldberg's too far away to break it up! 1....2......Shawn Michaels kicks out! Michaels kicks out! Triple H and Shawn Michaels are both down on the mat, but then slowly begin to rise. Batista gets up, and begins brawling with Goldberg. Batista charges Goldberg near the door, and tackles him through it! Michaels looks furious. Triple H runs at Michaels, going for a clothesline. Michaels ducks, however, and hits Triple H with a superkick! He falls back, and hooks the leg, 1....2....3! Triple H eliminated. Absolutely amazing match-up. Everybody showed a lot of heart, and the ending was great, with Goldberg running in to take out Batista. Michaels scoring the final elimination was good too, and the roof absolutely blew off when he did.

Team Austin def. Team Bischoff via total elimination.

-----

[After the match, Team Austin returns to the ring, along with various other faces, including a few from Smackdown! A bloody Shawn Michaels is helped to his feet, and Earl Hebner raises his hand to massive cheers. Steve Austin stands on the entrance ramp, holding a beer. He holds it out towards the direction of Michaels, and drinks it down.]

JR: "Shawn Michaels! Shawn Michaels! Shawn Michaels has done it for Team Austin!"

King: "I can't believe it JR! RAW's going to be crazy tomorrow night, Bischoff will be publicly fired!"

Liger manages to use his leg strength to push Ultimo out of the pin. The crowd sigh a gasp of relief as they see the referee raise two fingers. Both Ultimo and Jushin Liger lie flat on there backs looking in bad shape, the referee begins the count. The official makes it to 7 before Ultimo Dragon finally manages to rise to his feet. He slowly pulls Jushin Liger to his feet and hit a right upper cut, an Irish whip follows as Ultimo looks for a clothesline. The arm is ducked by Jushin Liger who surprises Ultimo with a standing dropkick. Both men once again fall to the floor and take another 8 seconds to get back up. Both men make it to a vertical base, both superstars look tired as they try to hook up. The crowd are on the edge of there seats as they know this match could end any minute now and both of these men could win it. Liger bows out of the hook up and goes for a spinning wheel kick, he connects well and even knocks Ultimo out of the ring through the middle rope. Ultimo Dragon is out for the count on the outside mat as Jushin Liger stands inside the ring adjusting his slowly splitting mask. The crowd go nuts as Jushin climbs the turnbuckle all the way to the top rope, he sizes where Ultimo is before he jumps. He leaps through the air like an eagle before flipping in mid air to connect with the now standing Ultimo Dragons higher back. Both men fall to the floor in a heap, they stay there for around 15 seconds before Jushin makes it to his feet. The Referee is making the count, Liger notices this and rolls into the ring then quickly rolling back out. He goes to the announcers table and removes the monitors and slamming them on the floor. Jushin Liger gets a great pop from the crowd before pulling Ultimo to his feet, after three forearms to the back Jushin rolls Ultimo onto the announcers table. Once again Jushin rolls back into the ring, not just to break the referee's count but to climb the turnbuckle once again. The crowd go buzzurk as he makes his way to the top rope, Liger once again checks his mask which is now on its last stitches. With one last gasp Jushin leaps once again, this time a frog splash is imminent. The crowd watch in amazement as Jushin Liger glides through the air like a circus performer. But Liger doesn't have a safety net he has a human being to fall upon. Liger releases his arms and stretches them at full length looking to fall with force onto his opponent. Liger does fall at force but sadly only onto the announcers table. Ultimo quickly rolled off the table escaping the impending blow. Jushin Liger lands on the announcers table which breaks through resulting in Liger's head to smack with full force to the ground. Ultimo slowly gets to his feet and rolls into the ring. Ligers face comes into view as his mask is nothing more than a piece of loose thread hanging around his neck. After numerous seconds he rolls back onto the outside mat and pulls the lifeless body of Jushin Liger back into the ring. Ultimo follows him into the squared circle and immediately makes the pin.

Somehow Liger raises his shoulder a fraction away from the canvass. The crowd stare in amazement as Ultimo stares in disbelief. Ultimo finally falls to the ground in exhaustion, as the referee begins the count. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Ultimo slowly makes his way to his feet and immediately drops an elbow to the back of Jushin Liger. He grabs Liger's legs, pushing the right as far back as possible and placing his right arm through the triangle shape pulling hard and pulling upwards. A Texas cloverleaf is made, a submission made famous by the likes of Dean Malinko. Liger groans in pain as his back is bent in an inhumane way, Ultimo doubles the pain when he falls even more back finally sitting on Jushin Liger's back, keeping a firm grasp on his opponents legs. Liger writhes in agony as he tries to make his way to the ropes. The bottom sienna rope feels like a mile away, even when Jushin reaches out his right arm at full length. Nevertheless Jushin Liger doesn't quit as he forces his way closer and closer to the rope, his expression shows immense pain with the blood still oozing out of his forehead. The crowd sit with wide eyes willing Jushin Liger on. The crowds support helps Liger edge in closer towards the ropes, with the gash on his forehead spitting more blood over his eyes. Finally Liger manages to pull himself inches towards the ropes. With his arm outstretched Liger can smell the ropes, he needs just one more inch to grasp salvation. Then with all his strength he is pulled away from the ropes, Ultimo keeps Jushin's legs locked tightly as he pushes his way towards the centre of the ring. Liger sees the ropes fade away and his pain mounting to unbelievable highs. His vision is impaired with tiny red spots as his face turns the same colour as his attire. Jushin raises his arm as the official looks over intently; slowly Liger's hand is lowered to the canvass. The fans begin to cheer even louder trying to keep Liger going. Liger's hand nearly reaches the canvass until he shoots the hand back up, the crowd cheer with an almighty roar. The fans are adamant that Liger will power through when they begin to chant his name. Jushin once again tries to make to the ropes after his failed attempts to push Ultimo out of the submission. Liger slowly makes his way towards the ropes until Ultimo once again pulls him back to the centre. The gash on his forehead widens as more blood pours out like wildfire. His hand begins to shake with aggression as the fans believe Liger will somehow escape from the submission. Suddenly Ligers hand smacks the canvass with might as he begins to tap. The fans fall back on there seats as the bell rings, there sadness is plainly shown in there expressions as they cant believe the result. Ultimo releases the submission and falls to his knees, his hand is raised by the referee as the winner. Ultimo is in shock, as he celebrates in the ring, he stumbles towards the turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope. The fans respect what Ultimo has accomplished tonight but are disappointed that there hero has lost. Ultimo stumbles towards the backstage after his celebration, with a smile spread eagle across his face. Liger is seen to by EMT's as a stretcher is brought into the ring. The officials and medical staff try to help Jushin onto the stretcher until he shrugs away. Liger after some time manages to get to his feet, he stumbles onto the ropes before finding balance. He stands and raises his arm as the fans erupt in a crowd of cheers.

***********************************************

Wolf Beast’s Match

**Just to clarify, this match was indeed written before the actual WrestleMania 21, despite some instances where the match seemed rather similar**

No need for a build up……

Jim Ross: This is it King, a dream match, set to become reality. I cant wait to see this, here we go!!!

Jerry Lawler: The stage is set J.R, lets see these two men live up to the billing.

Wrestle Mania 21;

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

**Medal** hits, and the Olympic Gold Medallist makes his way out at Staples Centre, to a tremendous amount of heat. Angle stands at the top of the entrance way, and shakes himself loose, before setting off his pyro, raising his fingers in the air. Angle slaps himself then blows out hard, before making his way towards the ring. Angle walks around the ringside area, then quickly rolls into the ring, and spins around as he gets into the ring. He takes his medals off, and hands them to the referee, Nick Patrick, as the music dies down.

Jim Ross: Wait until Michaels music hits King. I gaurentee the roof blows off Staples Centre.

Jerry Lawler: And that will be all because if his massive ego!!!

**Sexy Boy** plays into the arena, and Staples Centre goes wild for Angle‘s opponent. Shawn skips into view, at the top of the entrance ramp, gathering a big time pop. Michaels jigs around at the top of the ramp, and then falls to his knees, as his pyro goes off, before he jumps up, and shows a big burst of energy, as he continues to the ring. Michaels slaps hands with the fans as he continues to the ring, then walks around the ring, looking at Angle, who seems fired up for this dream match. Michaels then cautiously gets into the ring, and dances around a bit more, then points at Angle and trash talks a little, before doing his trademark in ring, pre match pose, setting off more pyro, before bouncing up again. Shawn then peels off his flashing gear, and throws it at Angle, trying to infuriate the Olympian. Angle takes it, and throws them to the outside.

The music dies down, and Nick Patrick then warns both men to wait until the bell is rang before going at it. He then quickly checks Michaels for any foreign objects he may have hidden, then he checks Angle. Neither men have any weapons, and Patrick has a quick word, before signalling for the bell…

***DING DING DING***

Both men stand in their opposite corners, as the 20,000 fans begin to roar, with no real cheering for either men, but a cheer in general for a dream match. Angle slowly moves from the corner, and Michaels sees him do so, and begins to move himself. HBK rubs his nose, then shakes his hands loose, before moving in closer to Angle. Neither man looks to want to make a wrong move so early on, and as they close in towards each other, Angle backs away.

The arena begins to boo Angle, who looks around the arena, and shakes his head at the fans. Michaels is seen smiling at Angle’s attitude. He starts to bounce his foot off the mat, almost like when he tunes up the band for Sweet Chin Music, getting the fans to cheer again. Angle looks unimpressed.

Both men look around, as the cheers fill Staples Centre once again. They slowly move to the middle of the ring, and the trash talking starts again. Michaels seems to talk about all the cheap shots, first at the Royal Rumble, then on Raw after his match with Edge. Angle points to his brain, signalling he is smarter than Michaels then smiles. Michaels looks around, smiles, the slaps Angle. Angle staggers around the ring, and walks into an inverted atomic drop from HBK, which is followed up with a clothesline. Michaels looks to drop an elbow, but Angle rolls out of the way, and HBK hit’s the mat. Angle then goes to stomp the grounded HBK, but Shawn grabs the foot of Kurt, and trips him, then holds onto the leg, and seems to go for an Anklelock, but Angle, quickly fights out, and rolls to the ropes, forcing Michaels to back off. HBK backs off, into the opposite corner, while Angle takes his time to get up. Staples Centre is seemingly split between both superstars, with "Lets Go Michaels" chants, being drowned out by "Lets go Angle" chants, and vice versa.

HBK claps to the fans, trying to get them into the match, while Angle stands in his corner, not impressed. He tells Michaels to get on with it, and HBK responds, telling Kurt that that is what he’s been waiting for all along.

They circle the ring again, and tie up. Both men try to gain the leverage, but for this, the advantage goes to Angle. He backs HBK into the corner, but the referee tells Angle to break it. Slowly, and cautiously, Kurt steps away, and both men, slowly, make their way out, and circle the ring again.

Quickly, Kurt and Shawn tie up, and struggle around the ring, but Michaels gets the best of the situation this time, and backs Angle into the corner, with the same result as the time before, with HBK being forced to release. Both men then circle the ring once more, and tie up again. Michaels gets a headlock takedown, and applies an armbar. Angle quickly rolls over for a cover, 1...2...Kick Out. Both jump up, but Kurt gets the snap mare, followed by a headlock.

The Showstopper counters the headlock, and applies one of his own. Kurt Angle pushes HBK off the ropes, but Michaels comes right back off the ropes, and nails a shoulder knocking down the Gold medallist. Shawn then helps up Angle, in a dis-genuous manner which Kurt doesn’t take too kindly. They go face to face, then back up, and quickly tie up. Angle gets the headlock on Michaels, but HBK pushes him off into the ropes, but Kurt comes back with a shoulder to Michaels this time. Michaels takes his time getting up, shaking his arm loose, while Angle poses, doing his twirly spin, to a big amount heat.

Shawn gets to his feet, then raises his hand in the air for a test of strength, and Angle accepts. Kurt, slowly lifts his hand toward Shawn’s, trying not to fall for any tricks, and they lock up for the test of strength. Angle gets the best of the strength battle, and brings HBK to his knees, but Michaels breaks the hold with a sweep to the legs, and then applies a wristlock on the grounded Olympic Hero.

Angle soon wriggles free, and chops Michaels HARD, gathering a WOOOO from the fans. Shawn clutches his chest, and staggers around the ring, then delivers one back, HARD to his opponent, again getting a WOOOOO. Angle drops to a knee, then gets up and chops HBK back, with another WOOOO from Staples Centre. Michaels clutches his chest again, then fires back with another chop of his own. Kurt hit’s a chop, Shawn fires one back, one from Angle, one from Michaels, then a HUGE chop to the Showstopper, sends Michaels down. Each chops is met with the same WOOOOOOOO response from Staples Centre, and a small round of applause is heard after the chop fest. Angle backs HBK into the corner, and whips him across the ring, but as Michaels reaches the corner, he jumps to the middle rope, and leaps behind Angle, then rolls him up, 1...2...Kick Out.

The Heartbreak Kid then quickly bounces off the ropes, and meets Angle, who is back to his feet, with a dropkick, 1...2...Kick Out. He then picks Angle up, but the Olympic Gold Medal winner, cradles HBK, 1...2...Kick Out, Michaels rolls through, 1...2...Kick Out. Angle then breaks the hold, and rolls up HBK, 1...2...Kick Out. Michaels rolls through, 1...2...Kick Out, Angle counters into a bridge, 1...2...Kick Out. HBK uses his strength to power out of the bridge, then backslides Angle, 1...2...Kick Out. Kurt Angle flips out, and rolls up Shawn, 1...2...Kick Out!! Both men jump to their feet, and get a massive ovation from the Staples Centre.

Jim Ross: This is tense, King. Neither man wants to give anything away here too early.

Jerry Lawler: This is great J.R. This has all the hallmarks of a WrestleMania classic.

Both men slowly centre the ring, and go nose to nose. They then both start to talk trash to one another, and tie up again. The two men grapple around the ring, with no advantage for either, until Michaels gets the go behind on Angle. Kurt tries to break the grip of the arms, but Shawn has a firm hold. They tussle around the ring, with Kurt trying to break the hold. He then runs backward, ramming Michaels into the corner, and again, and a third one breaks the grip of HBK. Angle throws a few elbows at Michaels, then walks out from the corner, and runs at The Showstopper, but Michaels gets an elbow up, and Kurt is caught, square on the jaw. Angle staggers out, and Michaels runs him down with a clothesline. Michaels tells Angle to get up, and he knocks him down with another clothesline, and HBK calls Angle up again, and this time, puts Kurt down with a vicious right hand, sending the Olympian to the mat.

Michaels then pulls Kurt Angle to his feet, and brings him to the corner, before nailing Angle with a chop, which is given a big WOOOO from Staples Centre. Michaels sizes Angle up again, and hits another chop, and another, and another, and a fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and one final big time chop for ten. Each chop is met by the fans with a WOOOOOOO. Michaels runs his fingers back through his air, then dances a little around the ring, trying to fire up the crowd. Michaels then turns around, and walks over to Angle, who is still in the corner, trying to recover from the chop fest. Michaels grabs Angle, but Kurt stops him, and rakes the eyes, forcing HBK to stagger around the ring, and Angle takes full advantage with an ugly sounding clothesline, turning Michaels inside out.

Angle stretches his arms out wide, to a fairly mixed response, showing that he does indeed have a legion of fans. Angle then picks Shawn up, slowly off the mat, but HBK tries to knock Kurt away, landing elbows to the midsection, but Angle shrugs them off, and clubs Michaels back, sending the Showstopper back to a knee. Angle then adds insult to injury, slapping Michaels face.

Angle picks Michaels up, and whips him into the corner, but as he charges for a shoulder, HBK moves out of the way, and Angle runs straight into the ring post, garnering a huge "OOOOOOHH" from the crowd. Shawn takes advantage, and quickly rolls up Angle, 1...2...Kick Out!!! Angle quickly jumps up, then rolls out of the ring, with HBK looking on confused, waiting for more action.

Staples Centre boo’s Kurt for backing out, and he tells the fans to ‘Shut up’. He stares at HBK, and Michaels tells Angle to bring it on, but Angle gives HBK the ‘**** You’ salute, and turns around to begin to walk up the ramp.

Kurt garners more heat for leaving the ring, and he starts to make his way up the ramp, but HBK is not going to let Angle leave so easily, and he rolls out too, to a massive cheer. He walks up the ramp with a purpose, and catches Kurt, but Angle was playing possum the whole time, and clotheslines Michaels as he turns around.

Jim Ross: THAT SNEAKY SON OF A BITCH!!!!

Jerry Lawler: Ha ha!!! Michaels was suckered. What a fool. How smart is Angle!!!

Angle looks up, and smiles broadly, as Staples Centre gives Angle even more heat. Kurt then stomps Michaels, and picks him up dragging him towards ringside. He whips Michaels into the steel steps, then breaks the referee’s ten count, and rolls back out to the outside, getting on Michaels. He stomps him, then begins to fire at HBK with a succession of strong right hands to the face of the Heart Break Kid. Kurt then bounces Shawn’s head off the steps, and whips him into the barrier. Again, Angle is forced to break the referee’s ten count, before rolling back out. He clubs the back of the Showstopper, then picks him up, and drops him, ribs first onto the barricade. Michaels staggers around the ringside area, as Angle follows, and he then clotheslines HBK down.

Kurt bounces Michael’s head off the steps again, before rolling him into the ring, he goes for the first cover of the match immediately, 1...2...Kick Out!!! Angle doesn’t seem worried at all, and picks up HBK slowly, before striking him with a right hand, knocking him back down again. Angle then stomps on the ankle of HBK, and tries to drag Michaels around the ring, but HBK kicks Kurt away, but Angle comes right back at him, grabbing the legs, but HBK shows a lot of strength, and kicks Kurt out to the floor.

Michaels then gets back to a vertical base, while Angle clutches his neck on the outside for a few moments, before reaching his feet again. He takes a moment to think to himself, before slowly, getting back into the ring.

Angle notices HBK talking with the referee, so decides to take advantage, and runs at Michaels, but HBK sees him coming and hit’s an arm drag. Kurt jumps back up again, but again, Michaels hits an arm drag. Angle bounces up once more, runs at Michaels, but this time, Shawn hit’s a right hand instead of an arm drag, knocking Angle straight back down. Angle rolls over onto his front, and grabs his mouth, showing the pain of the right hand. Michaels tries to fire up the crowd, before stalking Angle as he tries to get to his feet.

Kurt turns around, and right away Michaels takes him down with a snap mare, followed by a dropkick to the back of the head. Michaels picks the Olympian up, and whips him, back first into the corner, then follows up with a splash into the corner. Angle staggers out, and once again, is put down by HBK with a clothesline. At this point of the match, it looks to be going all in favour of the Heart Break Kid, who is firing on all cylinders.

Shawn follows Angle, who crawls to the corner, and begins to stomp him down, with repeated boots to the chest. Michaels lifts Kurt to his feet, and whips him across to the opposite corner, but Angle reverses the whip, and sends Michaels to the corner instead. Angle runs at him, but Michaels gets a foot up, and knocks Angle away, then HBK sweeps Angle, with a kick to the back of the knee. Angle clutches his knee, and rolls around, while Michaels stalks him, and begins to stomp at Angle’s knee, relentlessly, then drags Angle toward the ropes, but before the Showstopper can go to work on him, Angle kicks Michaels away, and rolls to the outside himself.

Jim Ross: Dammit!!! Get that son of a bitch back in the ring. He cant keep bailing out like this.

Jerry Lawler: Its on of the three 'I's J.R. Intelligence.

Angle tries to take a breather, but Shawn continues to put pressure on him, and follows him. Kurt is forced to jog around the ring, with HBK in pursuit. Angle the rolls back in, and waits for Shawn to follow, but HBK sees the trick coming, and as he rolls in, he immediately rolls out again, as Angle goes to drop an elbow, but misses. Michaels then gets right back in, and hit’s a dragon screw on the bad leg of Angle. Shawn follows up, with an elbow to the point of the knee, then pulls on the damaged body part. Angle lets out a little squeal showing his pain, as Michaels continues to torque on the knee. HBK spreads the leg out, and drops his knee onto Angles, continuing the work on the now very weakened limb. The Showstopper then gets to his feet, and begins to stomp on Angles knee, with Kurt trying to push him away to no avail. Michaels then yanks the leg, and again, before turning Angle over, and applying a single leg Boston Crab on the Gold Medallist.

Angle screams out, as Michaels pulls back, applying more pressure onto him, with Angle becoming more distressed as the hold continues to stay locked on strong. Kurt puts one hand over his face in an attempt to hide the pain, and begins to try and claw his way to ropes with the other hand. Slowly, Angle seems to get closer to the ropes, despite the pain barrier, whilst HBK tries to keep the hold locked on for as long as possible, trying to do as much damage to the Olympian as possible. After what seems an eternity, especially for Angle, Kurt makes it to the ropes, and Michaels is forced to break the hold, with Staples Centre booing Angle making the ropes.

Michaels then stalks Angle again, but Kurt, in an act of desperation, rakes the eyes, and chucks HBK to the outside, in an attempt to shake off his knee problems. The Showstopper doesn’t take long to get back in though, and comes right back after Angle, who tries to keep his distance from HBK, almost trying to shoo Michaels away from him. Shawn gets through to Angle, but Angle quickly grabs the ropes, again, and HBK is forced to back off for a second, and the referee gives Angle the obligatory five seconds on the ropes, but as he lets go of the ropes, Angle then rolls out to the outside again, obviously not happy with the state his knee is in. Michaels isn’t going to let him heal though, and comes right after Kurt, as Angle continues to try and keep his distance. As Angle continues to keep away, he seems to buckle, and Michaels closes in, but he realises Angle is down, and hurt. The Showstopper stops in his tracks, and looks at Angle, who has his hands up in a manner which suggests he cant continue. Michaels looks around, at the crowd, and shakes his head, not believing Angle for an instant. He goes in towards Kurt, to pick him up, but Patrick jumps out, and stops him. The referee tells HBK to back off, believing that Angle is seriously injured. Michaels is irate, as he is pretty sure that Kurt is lying.

Jim Ross: I'm not buying that Angle is injured. I'm not buying that at all.

Jerry Lawler: I'm glad you're not buying it J.R, because Kurt is'nt selling it to ya.

The Heart Break Kid loses his rag, and grabs Patrick, and pushes him away, then bends down to Angle, but Kurt low blows HBK, and gets away with it, as the referee is on the floor, getting back up. Angle gets to his feet, but is showing some effects of his injured knee, before wailing on Shawn with repeated right hands, before whipping him, back first into the ring apron. Michaels staggers out, and is clotheslined down by the Olympian. Angle looks up, into the crowd, who chant "Angle Sucks". He takes no notice, and picks up HBK, then whips him, violently into the ringpost, with the impact having a sickening thud, as Michaels head bounces off the post. Michaels falls flat on the floor, whilst Angle looks around again at the audience, who are showing no love for him.

The camera then cuts back to Michaels, who is bleeding like a stuffed pig. HBK crawls around the ringside area, with his blood dripping to the floor, almost like a trail following him around. Angle follows, and drops an elbow to the back of HBK. Kurt then stomps Michaels, and saddles on top of him, before pounding at the forehead, opening the wound further. He then gets off Michaels, and puts his hands in the air, with Shawn’s blood dripping off his hands. Kurt then stomps the face of HBK, and is forced to pull him up, and get him into the ring.

Jim Ross: Oh gawd. This match needs to be stopped folks, Michaels is losing a ton of blood. Somebody in the back needs to hear this, if you can, guys, I'm telling ya, Michaels needs help.

Jerry Lawler: And now, Angle can take the inititive and really go to school on Michaels. He showing Michaels just who's in charge here.

Angle immediately begins to wear down the Showstopper. He applies a simple front face lock, which starts to take the wind from HBK, and draws more blood, from the already sick looking cut.

Angle lets the hold go, out of cockiness, then lies down in front of Michaels, and starts to bad mouth him, telling him that he will end his career NOW!!! Michaels tries to get up, but cant get to the Olympian. Angle then laughs in Michaels face, and kicks him to the ground again. He picks him up and whips him off the ropes, but Michaels ducks a clothesline, and comes back for a flying forearm, but Angle moves, and Michaels falls to the ground again, before Kurt nails a sidewalk slam to the weak back of the Heart Break Kid.

HBK then rolls around the mat, screaming in agony. Angle then picks him up, and whips him into the corner and Michaels hits with such velocity that he ends up on the top rope. Angle then gets to the middle rope and hit’s a side suplex from the top rope on Michaels.

The Gold Medallist then decides not to go for a cover, but instead tells the referee to count out HBK. Nick Patrick has no choice, and begins a count,

(Still no movement from HBK)

(Michaels then crawls to the ropes)
…..8.….

(HBK tries to get up, using the ropes)
…..

(Angle is irate that Michaels is getting up, so goes back to work on him).

Kurt clubs the back of Michaels, then picks him and nails a backbreaker. He gets a cover, 1.….2.….Kick Out. Angle then picks up HBK again, and hits another backbreaker, but this time, he holds on, and makes it a backbreaker submission hold. The Showstopper looks to be fading, as Angle continues to apply pressure.

Patrick lifts his arm once…….falls down. Second time…….falls down. One more time……falls do- NO!!!! Michaels keeps his arm up!!!! He starts to show some life, and begins to overpower The Gold Medal Winner. He breaks free and whips Angle off the ropes, then hits an inverted atomic drop, then HBK bounces off the ropes, but he is met with a Belly to Belly upon his return from Angle!!!! And Michaels is grounded again. Angle hooks the leg,

…1...

…2...

………………………

…KICK OUT!!!

Jim Ross: Just like that, Angle turns the tide, and Michaels cant do anything to stop it. He is bleeding like a stuffed pig. This isnt pretty, not pretty at all. And if HBK doesnt stay down, it will only get worse for him.

Jerry Lawler: I agree J.R. He should have known in the first place not to step into the ring with an athlete as gifted as Angle.

Angle is not happy. He picks up Michaels by the hair, whips him off the ropes, and knocks him down with a straight right hand, and another cover, 1...2...Kick Out again from The Showstopper.

Michaels sits up, trying to shake it off. He flips his head back, and we see a ton of blood splash off his hair, then drips off his face. The blood seems to be getting worse, rather than easing up at this stage. Kurt shows no remorse, and picks up Michaels and rams him into the corner, back first. He whips Michaels off the ropes, and as he comes back, Angle applies the abdominal stretch.

HBK is absolutely exhausted, and can barely move, as Angle cranks back. After forty nine seconds in the hold, HBK has yet to move, and having no choice, the referee picks his arm up once……..falls down. Twice……falls down. Last time…STAYS UP!!!! Angle cant believe it, and in his shock, releases the hold, and whips Michaels into the ropes, before hitting another Belly to Belly.

Angle is cruising in the match now, and starts to rile the crowd, strutting around the ring, WOOOOO’ing in a cocky manner. He gets down on his knees and looks at the bloodied, dazed, Michaels. He slaps HBK, and asks him if he is enjoying this. HBK grabs Angle by the face, but The Olympian pushes him away. We get a close up of Angles tape around his hand, which is soaked red with blood from Michaels. He then drops an elbow on Michaels, and rolls him over for another cover, 1...2...Kick Out.

Angle smiles, then drops an elbow on the back of Michaels again. HBK shoots his head up, screaming out in agony, as Kurt tries to contain his laughter. He boots HBK on the back, drives his knee, and drops a fist, all onto the back of the Heartbreak Kid. He rolls him over for another cover, 1...2...Kick Out. Again, 1...2...Kick Out. Again, 1...2...Kick Out. One more time, 1...2...Kick Out. Angle sits up, and laughs out loud. We realise, he knew that HBK would kick out, but done it, just to put the Showstopper in more pain, and to use more energy, kicking out. Angle is forced to drag Michaels to his feet, with HBK falling onto Angle, lifelessly. Angle grasps Shawn, and nails another Belly to Belly on HBK.

He doesn’t cover Michaels, and tells Nick Patrick to count, showing that he doesn’t just want to beat Michaels, but wants to humiliate him instead, as this is the second time he has done this now…

Jim Ross: Nick Patrick needs to make a judgement call here. Michaels looks to be out on his feet. He is a bloody mess, and he can barely stand. Stay down Shawn, for your own good.

Jerry Lawler: Thats right. Stay down Michaels. Either that, or Angle is gonna make him tap out!!! HA!!
Angle doesn’t show any remorse, and goes to the corner, and begins to throw right hands on Michaels, who is only standing, thanks to the ropes. Angle then picks up Michaels for a suplex. He holds him in the air for at least ten seconds, then slowly falls, hitting a suplex. He covers Michaels, but immediately lets go, and tells the referee to count him again. Patrick is furious. He tells Angle just to cover him, but Angle refuses and tells Patrick to do his job.

Patrick counts Michaels down again…

Michaels grabs the ropes, almost out of instinct, and drags himself to his feet. We get a close up of his face, and see that he can barely see through the amount of blood in his eyes. It continues to pour from his forehead, down his face, as he puts his arms up, to try and protect himself.

Angle easily puts him back down with a punch, but Michaels gets right back up. He then comes at Kurt, but is knocked down with a right hand. He then gets to his feet quicker, and tells Kurt Angle to bring it on. The Olympian then throws a right, and Michaels falls into the ropes, then bounces back at Angle, who tries to knock him down again, but again, Michaels bounces into the ropes, and bounces out. Angle starts to look a little worried, then throws one more right, and Michaels one more time, falls into the ropes, then bounces up, back into the face of Angle.

Angle shakes his head in anger, and bounces off the ropes for one big right hand, but Michaels blocks it, and throws a right at Kurt, then another, then a chop, as Angle begins to fall into the corner, as Michaels begins a comeback. HBK chops Angle, and throws rights at The Gold Medallist, then goes for a whip to the opposite corner, but Angle reverses, and sends HBK, hard, into the corner, back first, and Michaels falls right to his knees, clutching his back.

Kurt picks him up, and trash talks him, then hit’s a backbreaker to the Heart Break Kid. Angle hooks the leg,

…..1.….

………2.……..

…………KICK OUT AGAIN!!!

Angle sits up, looking rather pissed off. He scoops Michaels up, and rams him, back first into the corner, continuing to work on Michaels main weak point.

Angle turns Shawn front first to the corner, and drives his knee to the back of the Heartbreak Kid. Shawn falls onto the ropes, with his blood dripping down, like a water fountain. We see the look of pain on HBK’s face, as Angle drives his knee again, to the back. Angle then pulls him out of the corner, and hit’s a high angle side suplex on Michaels, causing more pain to the back for the Showstopper. Angle raises his arms, in an early call of victory, whilst Nick Patrick tells him to put his hands down, as the match isn’t over yet.

Angle then tells Michaels to get up, and ends up, nearly waiting a full thirty seconds for HBK to get to his feet, needing the ropes to help him up. Angle then grips him from behind, and hit’s a German Suplex. Kurt holds on, and hits another, holds on again, and hits one more, this time releasing, with the move making a horrendous thud on the mat, and bringing more pain to Michaels already weakened body part. Angle is cruising the match now, and covers Michaels without hooking the leg,

…..1.….

………2.……..

…………KICK OUT AGAIN!!!

Jim Ross: Michaels wont stay down. He will not give this match up. Despite the blood loss, despite the back problems, despite his broken down body, he will not stay down!!!

Jerry Lawler: Angle has gotta hook the leg, Michaels wont stay down, and Kurt is getting frustrated. Angle should stop toying, and move in for the kill.

Angle looks at Nick Patrick, as if to say he isn’t counting quick enough. Angle, then again tells Michaels to get up, and once again, HBK needs the help of the ropes to do so. He reaches his feet, but is met by Angle, who turns him around, and goes for the Angle Slam, but HBK rolls through, and with that, Kurt turns around, and as he does, Shawn goes for Sweet Chin Music, but Angle ducks, then as Michaels turns back around, Angle hit’s a Belly to Belly!!!

…..1.….

………2.……..

…………KICK OUT AGAIN!!!

Staples Centre holds its breath, after an exciting to and fro moment, which could have turned the tables in the match. Angle then picks Michaels up, and whips him off the ropes, but HBK ducks a clothesline, then comes back with a flying forearm!!!! Staples Centre roars in approval of HBK, now sensing a dramatic fight back from Michaels. Both men slowly make it to their feet, and Angle goes to hit a right hand, but HBK blocks, and throws one of his own. Angle goes to throw a right again, but Michaels blocks again, and throws one back. Angle then rakes the eyes, and bounces off the ropes, but is met with an inverted atomic drop from Michaels, and a second. Kurt then goes for a clothesline, but HBK ducks, and hit’s a DDT!!!

Both men are down, with referee, Nick Patrick forced to start a ten count…

(Michaels nips up!!!)

Jim Ross: YESSSSSS!!!!! HBK is still alive!!!! There is fight in the dog yet!!!

Jerry Lawler: I cant beleive my eyes J.R. Shawn Michaels is creating a miracle here. Can he do the impossible??

Shawn Michaels brings Staples Centre to its feet, despite being bloody, and broken down, HBK has found a second wind, and begins to make his way to the top rope. Michaels reaches the top turnbuckle, but then, Angle shoots up, and leaps to the middle rope, catching Michaels, and nailing his patented Belly to Belly from the ropes!!! Once again, both men are down, and neither look like moving, but just as Nick Patrick is set to count them out, Angle gets an arm over Michaels;

…..1.….

………2.……..

………MICHAELS KICKS OUT!!!………

Angle sits up in amazement. He bangs the mat three times, signalling that he should have won. He covers HBK again, 1...2...Kick Out!! Angle shakes his head, obviously frustrated, and gets to his feet. He starts to mouth some words, but it’s hard to make out what he says. He pulls down both his straps of his singlet, and looks to be setting up for the Ankle lock. He waits for Michaels to start to move, then reaches for the ankle, but Michaels kicks at him relentlessly, desperate not to be put in the submission hold.

Angle is kicked away, but refuses to give up, and goes for the hold again, but Michaels again kicks him away. Angle comes to him again, but this time, Michaels jumps up, and throws at right at Angle forcing him back. The Showstopper forces Angle back to the corner, and begins to rip into the Olympian with a flurry of rights. He then whips Angle off the ropes, but Kurt ducks a clothesline, and then hit’s the Angle Slam!!!!!! Angle hooks the leg, for the certain three count…

…..1.….

………2.……..

………FOOT ON THE ROPE!!!………

Angle is shown HBK’s foot on the rope, and looks to be getting more frustrated. He stomps Shawn’s bloody face, then drags the lifeless body up. He whips him hard to the corner, but Michaels jumps to the top, and hit’s a Moonsault on Angle!!! He has a cover,

…..1.….

………2.……..

………ANGLE KICKS OUT!!!………

Jim Ross: How close, how close was Michaels!!!??? So near -

Jerry Lawler: Yet so far!!!! HBK nearly did it J.R, but Angle kicked out!!! This thing still isnt over!!!

Shawn looks disappointed, and tries to reach his feet, clutching his back, showing it still to be in pain. Angle too reaches his feet, but both men look to be dazed, and groggy at this point, with it now being a question of who wants it most. Angle swings at Shawn, but the Showstopper ducks, and knocks down Kurt with a tremendous right. Angle then gets up, although slowly, but is knocked back down again. The Olympian gets up again, and this time, Michaels bounces off the ropes, and knocks Angle down with a clothesline. Michaels hits with such impact, that he falls into the ropes, whilst Angle goes down.

Michaels then tries to get the crowd fired up, looking to them for support, and in turn they start a H-B-K chant. Angle slowly gets to his feet, and is met by Michaels who whips him onto the ropes. Angle comes off the ropes, and ducks a clothesline from Michaels, then attempts to chuck him out of the ring, but Michaels skins the cat. Angle doesn’t notice, and as he turns back towards the ropes, he is met with a dropkick from Michaels.

Shawn then drags Angle up, but Kurt takes him by surprise, and rams him into the corner. Angle pounds HBK relentlessly, then whips him across the ring, to the opposite corner, but Michaels grabs the top rope, and leapfrogs over Angle, as he runs into the corner too. He then turns around, and is met with SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!! Michaels falls onto Angle,

…..1.….

………2.……..

………FOOT ON THE ROPE!!!………

Jim Ross: HE DID IT!!!!! MICHAELS HAS DONE IT!!!! HE HAS BEATEN ANGLE, DESPITE BEING BLOODY, AND BROKEN, THE HEA-

Jerry Lawler: NO!!!! Angle got a foot on the rope J.R!!!! Look!!!!

Michaels doesn’t realise, and begins to celebrate, thinking he won. As he is down on his knees, Nick Patrick informs him that he hasn’t won, and Angle had his foot on the rope. Michaels falls flat on the mat in astonishment, knowing the match still isn’t over. He picks himself up off the mat, and walks toward Angle who is still down. He picks him up, but Angle has been playing possum, and nails HBK with a clothesline. He then stalks Michaels looking for an Angle Slam, but as he goes for it, Michaels rolls through, then goes for Sweet Chin Music, but Angle catches his foot, and takes him down for an Anklelock!!!!

Michaels screams out in agony, then in one motion, he turns himself over, and cradles Angle, 1...2...KICK OUT!!! By kicking out, Angle has broken the submission. He goes right for it again, but Michaels kicks him in the gut, then gets to his feet, ducks a clothesline, and hits an Angle Slam to Kurt Angle!!!!!! HBK then nips up again, and doesn’t go for the cover, instead goes up top, looks around, nods to the fans, and then scores, second time lucky, with the Top Rope Elbow!!!! Michaels immediately jumps to his feet again, now hitting a third wind in this titanic match up. He goes to the corner, and begins to stamp his feet, and everybody knows what’s coming up now.

Michaels stamps, willing Angle to his feet. He stamps, stamps, stamps, tuning up the band. Angle eventually reaches his feet, and turns around to HBK, who comes for Sweet Chin Music, but Angle sees it coming, and once again, grabs the ankle, and takes down Michaels. He doesn’t go for the Anklelock though, and instead, applies the Sharpshooter!!!!

Kurt cranks back on HBK, and smartly, has applied the Sharpshooter, to work on the heavily weakened back of Michaels. The audience looks to be astonished with Angle using the Sharpshooter, a submission he has never used before. Michaels looks in jeopardy of tapping out, trying to crawl to the ropes, but doesn’t have the strength to move towards the ropes. Michaels is just inches away from making the ropes. Kurt tries to apply more pressure, but Michaels is now starting to edge closer, and closer, and closer….he reaches out…but Angle lets the grip go, hanging onto the ankle…ANKLELOCK!!!!

Kurt Angle drags Michaels back to the centre of the ring, with the Anklelock locked in. He torques at the body part, and a huge groan comes from HBK, as Staples Centre goes berserk, desperate for Michaels to make it, as Angle yanks at the limb, with HBK trying to push himself to the ropes, he crawls…and is soooo close….but ANGLE PULLS HIM BACK!!!!

The reaction from the crowd becomes deafening, willing Michaels on to reach the ropes, as Shawn looks set to tap out. He once again crawls his way to the ropes, and is again one stretch away…..but ANGLE PULLS HIM BACK AGAIN!!!!!

The Showstopper yells out in agony, his hands around his head, and Angle then clamps down with the grapevine!!! HBK is in REAL trouble now, nowhere to go. Nick Patrick lies in front of Michaels and asks if he wants to give it in, and Michaels grabs the referee by the shirt, almost showing his pain, and desperation, then

….

……………

……………………….

………

……………TAPS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MICHAELS TAPS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! Angle has done it!!!!!

Winner; KURT ANGLE!!!

Jim Ross: What a performance, what a match, worthy only of taking place at WrestleMania. Kurt Angle and a bloody Shawn Michaels have blew the roof off of Staples Centre, in what was, in my opinion, greater than Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage, better than Hogan vs Warriror, eclipsing Bret Hart vs Michaels, Rock and Austin, and any other great WrestleMania match.

Jerry Lawler: I have sat here and called some classic matches Jim Ross. I've commentated on Bret Hart vs Austin, TLC, Rock and Hogan, but J.R, this match had it all. Shawn Michaels came so close, but ended up falling at the final hurdle.

Jim Ross: Shawn Michaels is bloody, beaten, but folks, Shawn Michaels has shown the heart of a warrior here tonight. Michaels has lost so much blood, that he can barely stand, but folks, it doesnt matter whether he won or lost, because for the performance alone, HBK is a winner.

Jerry Lawler: But, he didnt win J.R. We knew, only one man would, and in the end, Kurt Angle, made Michaels tap!!!

Versus

Team RAW

Triple H, Kane, Kurt Angle, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Chris Jericho

With Eric Bischoff

The referee Earl Hebner looks towards the ring assistant and the bell is rung.

**DING, DING, DING**

Kurt and Shawn square up to each other in the ring, staring at each other and trash talking. HBK backs into his corner and stretches out, loosening up while Kurt stands in the centre of the ring and jumps up and down. The two then meet in the middle again and begin trash talking once more. Kurt then slaps HBK, straight across the face and the crowd “OOOOOOO”s in disbelief. Michaels remains staring at the mat, stroking his chin in the place Angle landed the slap. Shawn then suddenly springs back at Angle with huge right hands to the skull. Angle backs into the corner, desperately trying to cover up as Michaels continues his assault. Earl eventually pulls Shawn off and Kurt springs back out and spears HBK to the floor. Angle then mounts Shawn and throws rights and lefts at his skull, trying to beat HBK to a bloody pulp.

Kurt is then rolled onto his back and Shawn fires some rights and lefts at Angles head.

He then quickly springs to his feet, as does Angle. HBK bounces off of the ropes and puts Kurt down with a shoulder block. Shawn bounces back again as Kurt lies on the floor. Shawn bounces back once more but this time Angle springs up and hits a massive clothesline!! HBK flops to the mat and Kurt begins to stop a mud-hole in Shawn. Michaels kicks Angle away and clambers to his feet. The Olympic Hero is ready and hits an uppercut, sending HBK into the turnbuckle. Shawn then bounces back out and walks straight into a belly-to-belly toss!!! But he blocks it with a headbutt! Angle staggers backwards and turns around to face the turnbuckle, HBK then suddenly slaps on a waist-lock and takes Angle to the mat. Shawn then spins around on Kurt’s back and slaps his head, taunting the Gold Medallist. HBK then applies a headlock, keeping Angle grounded. Shawn looks up to the crowd and he gets a huge roar.

Kurt then manages to get to his feet with the headlock still being applied by HBK. Angle then lifts Shawn off of the mat and carries him to the corner and places him on the top turnbuckle. Kurt then goes for a super-back-body-drop, but HBK hangs onto the ropes and Angle falls down without Michaels. Kurt gets back to his feet and scales the turnbuckles, looking for a belly-to-belly, but Shawn delivers a straight left to knock Angle back down. Shawn then flies off of the top with a huge crossbody!!! Shawn holds on and makes the first cover of the match!! 1…….2, Kickout from Kurt! Shawn springs back to his feet and bounces off of the ropes, waiting for Angle to get to his feet. Kurt eventually does push himself up to a vertical base and as HBK charges at his; he steps out of the way and tosses Shawn over the top rope and into the next ring!

………

Michael Cole: That appears to be the first decisive move in this match King, if Angle moves fast; he could pick up a big advantage here!

………

Jerry Lawler: This crowd is already crazy Tazz, and we’re only just getting started!

………

Almost as soon as Cole mentions Kurt being quick, the Gold Medallist springs to the turnbuckle, then climbs over to the one next to it, ready to pounce on the prone HBK. The crowd begin a “HBK” chant, which distracts Kurt, who looks to the crowd and hurls abuse at them. They reply with masses of boos which distracts Kurt even more. This gives Michaels the chance to regain his composure and slip out of one ring, and into the other, without Kurt noticing. HBK them climbs the turnbuckle next to Kurt’s and awaits for The Olympic Hero to notice his absence. Kurt finally turns to look at the ring and notices HBK has moved. Angle then turns to face Shawn on the other turnbuckle and Michaels lands a big right hand to send Angle tumbling backwards off of the turnbuckle, and to the mat below. The crowd taunts Angle for his stupidness while Shawn sets up for a diving elbow!!

The crowd go wild as HBK leaps from the top rope once more, attempting an elbow drop, but Kurt MOVES!! Angle then quickly springs up and gets a cover on Michaels! 1…..2…KICKOUT!!! Kurt gets to his feet but Shawn pulls him back over in a schoolboy!! 1…..2…..KICKOUT!! HBK darts up, but Kurt pulls him back down for a pin! HBK reverses into his own pin…1…..2…Kurt rolls over to pin The Showstopper!! 1…..2…HBK rolls over to pin Kurt!! 1…..2…KICKOUT!!! Both men spring to their feet and Kurt charges at Shawn. But HBK sidesteps him and throws him straight into the steel mesh of the cage!! Angle bounces back and Michaels throws him into the other cage wall! Kurt falls backwards, flat on his back in the middle of the ring!! Shawn lifts Angle to his feet and props him up in the corner, ready to hit him. Shawn then takes one step back before slapping the side of his right hand across Angle’s chest in a GIANT chop. HBK lands another chop that receives “Woooo”s from the crowd. Shawn goes for a third chop but Kurt ducks and bounces out of the turnbuckle, shaking his head to wake himself up. Michaels goes to grab Kurt’s head when Angle fires back at Shawn with fierce chops of his own, sending HBK back into the turnbuckle as Angle was before.

Kurt continues to chop HBK until Shawn fires back out with some right hands to the skull. Angle fires back with lefts of his own. The two brawl around the ring before HBK gains an advantage and swings Kurt into the ropes. Angle flies back off of the ropes, but as HBK goes for a clothesline, Angle grabs HBK around the waist and lands a belly-to-belly toss!! On the outside, Eric Bischoff springs off of his feet in joy as his first choice wrestler lands a thunderous belly-to-belly. Shane McMahon meanwhile is pacing around, up and down one side of the cage, with a tense look on his face. He then turns to the fans and gets a “Let’s Go Michaels” chant going. Back in the ring, Kurt lifts HBK up and slings him against the ropes. Kurt then hits a vicious clothesline on HBK’s return. Angle then stomps away at Michael’s ankle, preparing it for the Ankle Lock. Shawn then lashes out, kicking Angle away. Michaels then clambers up the ropes and to his feet. The Gold Medallist charges at Shawn but the Heart-Break Kid ducks and throws some right hands at Angle, trying to get back into the match. Shawn slings Kurt into the ropes and ducks Angle’s attempted clothesline on his return. When Angle bounces back again, HBK nails a picture perfect dropkick, straight to the face. Shawn clambers to his feet and tries to get to the tope rope, but Kurt is too quick and pulls him back down. Michaels then fights back with a left hand to the face. Kurt lets to go HBK’s leg and Shawn makes it to the top rope. HBK then waits for Kurt to turn round and then leaps off of the top rope with a beautifully shaped cross-body, but Angle moves!!! Shawn goes crashing into the mat with no-body home!!

Angle then grabs the prone HBK in a ground-based sleeper, trying to choke the life out of The Showstopper. Angle begins to apply more pressure as HBK begins to struggle around the ring. Shawn tries to get to his knees but Kurt applies even more pressure to the sleeper. Michaels begins to slap himself to stay awake, desperate to get out of the hold. In a sudden burst of energy, Shawn suddenly springs to his knees, then to one knee, then to both feet! The crowd roar as Michaels grasps out for more air but Angle has the lock applied as tight as ever. Shawn suddenly begins to elbow away at Angle’s midsection, desperately attempting to break free of the hold.

HBK continues to elbow away but Kurt just refuses to let go. In the end, Shawn lifts Angle onto his shoulders and backs into the cage, smashing Kurt off of him. Shawn then staggers into the ropes and rolls into the next ring, away from Angle. As soon as HBK enters the second ring, the 10-second countdown before RAW’s next competitor enters starts.

………

Jim Ross: Here we go then, the third man into the match, and RAW’s second into the match. From this point onward, a new competitor will enter after every minute!!

Tazz: But who’s it gunna be JR? Kane? Jericho? Triple H or Austin?

Jerry Lawler: Lets find out Tazz!!!

“Break The Walls Down”

Howard Finkle: And introducing the second competitor for Eric Bischoff’s RAW Team, weighing in at 231 pounds, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, The King of the World, CHRIS JERICHO!!!!!!

A huge boo goes up for the self proclaimed “King of the World” Chris Jericho. Y2J immediately sprints down to the ring and enter through the door nearest to Shawn Michaels.

Y2J straight away charges at HBK, who is just staggering to his feet. Jericho goes for a clothesline but Michaels ducks. Chris then bounces off of the ropes and back at Shawn. The, out of nowhere, HBK gets his foot up and lends a devastating Sweet Chin Music on Jericho!!! Shane McMahon leaps up and down in joy as Michaels gets a weak cover on Y2J. The ref counts: 1…..2…..Angle goes to break the fall but HBK moves and Kurt elbows Jericho is the stomach!! Shawn has no time to dawdle as he springs to his feet and clotheslines Kurt over the top rope and into the other ring. Michaels then turns his attention back to Jericho and lifts him to his feet. HBK chops Y2J and sends him into the corner, ready to strike. Michaels then gets onto the second rope and begins to pound away at Chris’ head. The crowd chant along with Shawn as he smashes Jericho’s head with a closed fist. “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8..” Jericho suddenly grabs a hold of HBK’s legs and lifts him onto his shoulders. Then out of nowhere, Angle springs onto the top turnbuckle behind Jericho and leaps off, clotheslining HBK off of Y2J’s shoulders!! Y2J then goes for the cover as Angle gets back to his feet. 1…..2…..Kickout from Michaels.

Y2J lifts HBK to his feet and Michaels staggers back into Angle, who has come back into the ring. Out of the blue, Jericho goes for a superkick and Shawn ducks!! Chris blasts Angle in the face with an almighty kick!! Angle falls straight on his back and HBK pounces on Kurt for the quick win! 1…..2…..JERICHO JUST BREAKS THE COUNT!! HBK lies on the mat as Chris gets back to his feet. Y2J then tries to drop a knee on Michaels, but Shawn rolls out of the way. HBK nips up to his feet and takes it to Jericho. Shawn delivers numerous right hands to Y2J before slinging him into the ropes. HBK goes for a clothesline but Jericho takes Shawn down with a spear!! Jericho scrambles to his feet and jumps onto the second rope. Y2J then lands a beautifully crafted Lionsault onto HBK. Jericho bounces off of Shawn’s body after impact and into the ropes. Shane McMahon looks on in sheer horror as the match could end right here.

Jericho then jumps on top of Michaels for the win. 1…..2…..ANGLE PULLS Y2J OFF!! Kurt then yells at Chris that he wants to make the fall since he got kicked in the face!! Eric Bischoff starts jumping up and down in disbelief as Jericho gets to his feet and pushes Angle in the chest. Kurt then shoves Y2J back and the two begin a dispute, pushing and shoving each other all over the ring. This gives HBK enough time to roll into the next ring and re-cooperate. Bischoff then climbs up the ring steps and into the cage, shouting at Kurt and Jericho.

Jim Ross: How did I know this team wouldn’t get along? Jericho and Angle’s egos are just too big to be contained together.

Tazz: I couldn’t agree more JR. Bischoff might have motivated his team slightly better than Shane ‘O’ Mac’ has, but he can’t turn down their egos and get them to co-operate.

Bischoff yells at Jericho and pokes Angle in the chest, screaming at him “Why in the hell did you stop the pin?” Angle shoves Bischoff and tells him to get out of the ring. Jericho then barges into Angle telling him to leave Eric alone. While all of this is happening, Michaels climbs to the top rope and leaps off, towards Angle, Jericho and Bischoff. Suddenly, Jericho and Angle move and HBK lands fully on Eric!! The crowd and Shane McMahon burst out laughing as Bischoff is flattened on the mat. Y2J and Kurt then lift HBK up and double-team him, hitting a double team suplex. They then stomp a mud-hole in Shawn, beating him to the mat. Jericho then lifts up Michaels and tosses him into the side of the cage.

While Y2J scrapes The Showstopper’s face against the steel mesh, Kurt rolls Bischoff prone body out of the ring. Angle then heads back to HBK and helps Jericho to lift him up to the corner. HBK’s face is now busted open from the exposed steel mesh. Angle then takes the padding off of the top turnbuckle and Jericho lands a missile dropkick on HBK, who can barely stand up. Angle then calls Jericho over and tells him to pick Shawn up. Kurt and Chris then snake-eye Michaels onto the exposed steel turnbuckle!! HBK falls to the mat, his face a crimson mask. Angle and Jericho continue to pound away at HBK when the next 10-second countdown begins.

Howard Finkle: And introducing the second competitor for Shane McMahon’s SmackDown! Team, weighing in at 220 pound, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, The Canadian Crippler, CHRIS BENOIT!!!!!

A big pop goes up for the United States Champion as he steps out from behind the curtains. Benoit strolls down to the ring and stares down at the struggling body to Eric Bischoff. Chris then boots Eric in the head and dives straight into the ring.

Benoit enters and Jericho immediately turns to face him. Benoit and Jericho stare into each other’s eyes, neither moving nor blinking. Out of nowhere, Kurt Angle dives straight at Benoit but Chris moves and Angle flies into the cage wall!! Benoit and Jericho then go at it, punch for punch, neither gaining an advantage. Benoit then goes on a rampage and hits five ferocious chops to Y2J. Jericho backs into the corner and Benoit continues to chop away at the Intercontinental Champion. Y2J then ducks a chop from Benoit and spins the US Champ into the corner.

Jericho then delivers some of his own chops to Benoit to screams out in pain. Benoit then fights out with kicks to the midsection. Benoit then throws Jericho into the ropes and hits a clothesline, Y2J springs up, and Benoit nails another clothesline. Y2J nips up, another clothesline. Jericho nips up once more but this time ducks the clothesline and lands a neckbreaker on Benoit. Angle then gets back up and lifts Benoit to his feet but gets a chop to the chest for his troubles. Kurt falls back into HBK who is just getting to his feet via the ropes. HBK falls back to the mat and Kurt stomps on him a few times. Benoit then turns back to Jericho and the two exchange harsh words. They then go punch for punch again, but this time, Y2J gets a sneaky eye rake and Benoit turns away, straight towards Angle. Kurt then lands a thunderous belly-to-belly suplex that shakes the ring.

ANGLE PULLS JERICHO OFF AGAIN!!!!!

Jericho then gets to his feet and shoves Angle, and Kurt shoves back, the two exchange words and get into each other’s faces. Jericho then slaps Angle!! Kurt turns back towards Jericho and throws a punch. The two RAW competitors then exchange blows as Benoit gets back to his feet. Chris Benoit watches on as Y2J and Angle exchange blows in the corner. Eric Bischoff is still motionless on the floor and can do nothing to stop his team from disintegrating. Benoit moves over towards HBK and helps him to his feet. Angle then plants Jericho with a DDT and scrambles to his feet. HBK and Benoit then charge at Angle and clothesline him back down to the floor. Benoit picks Jericho up and tosses him into the next ring, ready to battle. HBK and Angle then stay in the other ring while Benoit crosses over into the ring with Jericho.

Shawn straight away lifts Angle to his feet and lands an uppercut. Michaels then pulls Kurt into a front face lock and goes for a suplex, but Angle blocks it. HBK tries again, Kurt blocks it. Shawn then knees Angle in the face and then quickly lifts Kurt up for a vertical suplex. HBK looks set to bring Angle to the mat when Kurt drops down the back of the Show Stopper and shoves him into the cage wall!! HBK bounces back out and into a roll-up from Angle. 1……2…….KICKOUT!! Kurt gets to his feet and HBK nips up again, blood still trickling out of his forehead. HBK then clotheslines Kurt down and stomps on his head, forcing Angle to lash out, but Kurt’s kick misses. Michaels lifts Angle up and takes him to the turnbuckle. HBK then climbs to the second rope and then jumps over Kurt’s head, landing a neckbreaker. HBK covers, 1…..2…..KICKOUT FROM ANGLE!! The crowd moans in disbelief as Michaels struggles up the ropes to get back to a level surface. Shawn looks at Angle, then looks towards the cage door, then looks towards Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, and the announce table. Then last, but not least, HBK looks towards the roof of the cage. Shawn smiles and grabs Angle by the arm and drags him towards the door.

Michael Cole: Ooooooh my, is Shawn Michaels thinking what I’m thinking?

Jerry Lawler: Err, Michael, I don’t think it would be the right time or place for Shawn to be thinking about what you’re thinking……that’s just gross.

Jim Ross: King, you have a sick and twisted mind.

As HBK drags Angle out of the ring, Benoit continues his assault on his archrival, Chris Jericho. Benoit picks Jericho off of the mat after he has landed yet another German Suplex. Chris takes Y2J by the hair and props him in the corner. Benoit delivers even more chops to Jericho’s chest, which has turned a glowing red colour. Benoit then irish whips Jericho to the opposite corner and splashes him. Jericho staggers out and Benoit climbs to the second rope and comes off with a double axe handle to the back. Jericho slaps down onto the mat as HBK begins to clear the announce table of TV monitors, Tazz’s water (which he hands to Tazz) and all other notes. HBK then lays Angle on the announce table and delivers a few more right hands as Benoit sling-shots Y2J into the cage wall. Benoit then lifts Y2J up again as HBK prepares to climb the cage wall. Chris lifts Jericho up and hits an uppercut, then a chop, then an uppercut, then a snap suplex, then an elbow drop, then a cover. 1……2…….KICKOUT!!! HBK looks through the cage as he is halfway up and he yells at Benoit to keep going. Benoit lifts Y2J up again as Eric Bischoff comes to his senses and sees both of his team members being beaten to a pulp. As HBK nears the top of the cage and Benoit lifts Jericho up once again, the 10-second countdown begins again.

“Glass Shatters”

Howard Finkle: Introducing the next competitor for Eric Bischoff’s RAW Team, weighing in at 255 pounds, The Captain of Team RAW, ‘STONE COLD’ STEVE AUSTIN!!!!

The crowd erupts with a chorus of boos as Austin jogs out onto the ramp, beer belly wiggling. Stone Cold immediately heads to the announce table.

Austin straight away yanks Angle off of the announce table as HBK reaches the top and prepares to jump off, but when he turns around, he is disappointed. Austin flips HBK the bird and drags Angle back up the steps and into the ring. Stone Cold then heads over to Benoit who is already waiting for him, with Jericho in a slump next to the cage wall. Austin doesn’t hesitate once and climbs straight into the ring and goes punch for punch with Benoit. Austin gets backed into the corner and Benoit delivers some chops to Austin. SCSA battles out with rights and left, taking Benoit by surprise. Austin then whips Chris into the ropes and hits a Lou Thesz Press, throwing more right hands at Benoit. Steve then lifts Benoit up again and tosses him into the turnbuckle. SCSA pounds away at Chris, forcing him to the mat with relentless right hands. HBK is slowly but surely climbing down the cage when Austin notices him. Michaels looks at Stone Cold in terror. Steve flips Shawn the bird again before he begins to shake the side of the cage. HBK’s grip loosens, loosens further until he is only hanging on by his fingertips!! Austin then climbs to the top turnbuckle and walks along the top rope to be on a level base with Shawn. Austin then strikes HBK in the face and Shawn is sent flying back, off of the cage, through the cleared announce table!!!!!

Jim Ross: OH MY GOD!!!! Austin has only been in the match for a matter of seconds and he has already made a HUGE impact. Shawn Michaels was just sent flying through our announce table, and Chris Benoit is facing a three on one battle!!!

Austin smiles at the crowd who hurl abuse at him. SCSA keeps his focus as Angle and Jericho begin to come to their senses. Stone Cold moves back over to Benoit and continues his assault, stomping a mud-hole in his helpless stomach. Austin hoists Benoit up again and slaps him around the face. The Texas Rattlesnake goes to irish whip Chris to the opposite corner but Benoit reverses, and sends Austin crashing into Chris Jericho, who is just getting to his feet!! Both Jericho and Austin fall to the mat in a heap and Benoit heads to the second ring to work on Angle.

Chris is visibly tired but keeps going, much as Angle does. Benoit lifts Kurt to his feet and twists his arm over his head. Benoit kicks Angle’s twisted arm and then twists is again. Benoit then flips Kurt over his shoulder, via the twisted arm and then drops a leg onto the shoulder and arm of Angle. Chris cranks back on the arm in an arm bar, trying to weaken the left arm and shoulder for the crippler crossface. Benoit continues to crank back before he sees Austin entering the ring again. Chris clambers to his feet but is not quick enough and Stone Cold hammers him back into the corner. Benoit tries to cover up but Austin is relentless. Meanwhile, Jericho is creeping back through the ropes and into the second ring. Y2J heads towards Austin and Benoit, but thinks better of it. He walks backwards, straight into Kurt Angle who is back to his feet, shaking his left arm out. Jericho and Angle face up again, and begin more trash talk. This time Angle slaps Jericho and they begin to brawl again. Jericho, not knowing Benoit has attacked it, begins to beat on Angle’s left arm with right hands to the bicep. Austin leaves Benoit who slumps to the mat and stomps over to the brawling Angle and Jericho.

Austin pulls then apart before spinning Jericho around and kicking him in the midsection. Austin then looks towards Angle, then back to Jericho, then to Angle, then to Jericho. Suddenly, Austin grabs Jericho and nails a STONE COLD STUNNER!!!!! Angle is in disbelief, as is Eric Bischoff on the outside!!! Shane McMahon jumps around in joy!! McMahon then moves over to attend to Michaels, who is starting to move. Back in the ring Austin is staring at Angle and smiling. Stone Cold’s face then changes and he then kicks Angle in the stomach, and delivers a Stone Cold Stunner to ANGLE!!!! The crowd roar as Austin stares down at Angle in disgust. Bischoff yells at Stone Cold “What are you doing???” Austin flips Eric the bird and moves back towards Benoit who is getting up. He then delivers yet another Stunner, but this one to Benoit!!!!!! Stone Cold lies on Benoit for the cover!!

“GONG! GONG!”

Howard Finkle: Introducing the third competitor for Shane McMahon’s SmackDown! Team, weighing in at 315 pounds, from Death Valley, THE UNDERTAKER!!

The crowd explode as the arena lights turn purple and the gongs of the Undertaker sound. The rampway fills with smoke and Taker steps out from behind the curtains, hat cloak and all. The Deadman wastes little time with his entrance and takes his hat and cloak off at the top of the ramp, ready for Austin.

Taker straight away strides towards Austin and Stone Cold strides towards him. They meet in the middle of the entrance way and Taker takes it to Austin with booming right hands. Stone Cold is knocked back, up against the cage wall. The Deadman throws more rights and lefts at Austin who is caught between solid steel and a Deadman walking. Taker clobbers Austin with right hands, forcing him to the floor. Sensing his team is in trouble, Eric Bischoff grabs a steel chair from under the ring and creeps up behind Taker. Eric then smashes the steel chair into the back of the Deadman. The Undertaker immediately turns around and stares into the eyes of Bischoff, who nearly craps himself. Taker snatches the chair from Bischoff and chucks it aside. Eric begins to back away from Taker, around the ring, giving time for Austin to get back up. Bischoff keeps backing around and eventually runs into Shane‘O’Mac. Eric turns around and Shane smiles at him. Bischoff forces a smile back. McMahon then pushes Bischoff, straight into the arms of The Undertaker.

The Deadman wraps his hand around Bischoff’s throat and lifts him up for a chokeslam. But then suddenly Austin strikes Taker in the back of the head with the steel chair that Taker left behind. The Deadman automatically drops Bischoff and clutches the back of his head. Shane McMahon then lays Bischoff out with a stiff right hand. Taker turns to look at Austin and gets a face-full of steel for his troubles. The Deadman stumbles back and falls over next to the ring barrier. Stone Cold takes this advantage and lifts the ring steps up. He then smashes them into Taker’s prone and motionless body. Shane, sensing Taker needs help, picks up the chair Austin dropped and smashes it into Austin’s back. SCSA drops the ring steps and flops onto the floor. Shane looks to the crowd and gets a brilliant reception. Austin slowly gets back to his feet and charges at McMahon, but Shane sees him coming!!! Shane goes to blast Austin with the chair again, but Stone Cold ducks and nails a Stunner on the SmackDown! GM. Shane flops to the floor just as Shawn Michaels gets to his feet!!

Austin gets back up to his feet and turns around to face HBK. Shawn shakes his head before throwing right hands at Austin. HBK backs Stone Cold the whole way around the ring with rights and lefts. HBK then tosses Austin back into the ring as Benoit, Jericho and Angle are getting back to their feet. Undertaker also slowly gets to his feet and strides into the ring. HBK tosses Austin into the second ring with Jericho and he and Benoit go with them. Undertaker and Angle remain in the first ring. Taker lifts Angle up and tosses him into the turnbuckle. The Deadman then pounds away with body shots all over the Olympian. Angle staggers out of the corner and Taker bounces off of the ropes, nailing a big boot. Kurt flops to the mat, blood now starting to trickle out of his mouth, completely exhausted.

In the other ring, Benoit continues to work away at Jericho, utilising all of his technical wrestling ability to work away at his left shoulder and arm, much like he had done so earlier against Angle. Benoit continues to kick away at Jericho’s left shoulder and Y2J screams out in pain. Meanwhile, HBK continues to punish the more-fresh Austin. Shawn keeps Austin in the corner, pounding away at him. HBK drags Stone Cold’s body to the middle of the ring and heads up top for the Elbow Drop. At the same time, Benoit slams Jericho into the middle of the ring and heads up top for the Swandive Headbutt. Both HBK and Benoit then leap off of the top ropes and then BOTH of Austin and Jericho roll out of the way!!!! The crowd groan in disbelief but then turn their attention to Undertaker, who has Angle up for the Chokeslam!!!! HE LANDS IT!!! Taker drops onto Kurt for the cover!!!!!

Jim Ross: Business has just picked up folks!!! Kane is in War Games!!!

Tazz: This is not good for Smackdown. This guy is a monster.

Michael Cole: But don’t forget guys, Smackdown has the Deadman!!!

Jerry Lawler: Well, Michael Cole, if I were to pick one of the two brothers of destruction to help me in a fight, I'd pick Kane, that’s for sure.

Jim Ross: Shut up King, and concentrate on the match!!!

Kane straight away strolls down the ramp and up to the cage. He looks up and sees his brother, The Undertaker staring down at him. Kane then looks to the cage door, and steps towards it!

The Big Red Machine enters the first ring and straight away plants HBK with a right hand, just as he is getting to his feet. Kane tosses Angle and Austin into the next ring and leaves himself with Benoit and HBK!Kane lifts Benoit up and tosses him into the exposed turnbuckle, and Benoit flops to the mat. HBK then quickly crawls out of the cage and fetches a steel chair!! Kane sees where Michaels has gone and quickly follows. When The Monsters sticks his head out of the door, Shawn smashes the solid steel chair into it!!! Kane stumbles backwards, straight into a German Suplex from Chris Benoit!!!! Kane is planted straight into the mat and Benoit gets some time to recover.

Jericho meanwhile, is about to drop down the other side of the cage when Taker grabs his hair! Y2J completely lets go of the cage and is left dangling by his long blonde locks!! Taker then hoists Y2J back up to the top of the cage and grabs him around the throat!! Taker lifts Jericho above his head and looks down towards the announce table that Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are sat on. Jericho unbelievably, manages to break free and sprints to the other side of the roof, but his foot gets caught in the mesh halfway across!! Taker rolls his eyes back before walking back towards Jericho. Back in the cage, Stone Cold is beginning to stir and stares up at Taker and Jericho, on the roof. His eyes open wider and he scrambles to his hands and knees, then to the other ring, then out of the door. Austin then begins to climb up the side of the cage!! Kane then awakens and sits up; Benoit and HBK jump up as well, with a second wind. They take it to Kane, with double team punches. They then whip Kane into the ropes and attempt a shoulder block take down, but The Big Red Machine has other ideas a clotheslines them down. Kane then lifts Benoit up and tosses him head first into the cage wall, busting him open in the process.

Meanwhile on the roof, Taker has Jericho by the throat and pulls him from the wire mesh that is the cage roof. Taker lifts the helpless Y2J up and prepares to toss him off of the cage roof.

Michael Cole: JR, King, WATCH OUT!!!! Taker’s gunna Chokeslam Jericho off of that cage!!

Jim Ross: Don’t do it Taker!! For God’s Sake DON’T DO IT!!!!!!

Y2J struggles helplessly, desperately trying to escape Taker’s grasp. Jericho grabs a hold of Taker’s arm and then kicks him square in the balls. Taker flops to the steel roof top and grasps his manhood, screaming out in pain. Jericho crawls away from Taker’s aching body and attempts to get down from the roof, getting a foothold in the mesh. Taker sees this and crawls towards the edge himself before staring into the horrified eyes of Jericho. Y2J swings for Taker, with one arm, while the other keeps a hold of the top of the cage, clinging on in desperation. The Deadman blocks the right hand and smirks evilly. Taker hits a right hand on Jericho that send him flying backwards, AND THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!!!!!! Undertaker stares down at Y2J’s motionless body and smiles. Then, from out of nowhere, Austin spins Taker around and nails a STUNNER!!! Taker bounces off of the roof and holds on to the side of the cage with one hand for dear life!! On the inside, Kane sees this and stops his merciless assault on HBK and Benoit, and moves to towards Taker’s dangling body. Kane then smiles at Taker before kicking him off of the cage wall, and down to the floor. Undertaker lands awkwardly on his hip and screams out in pain. Then suddenly then 10-second countdown begins….

Jim Ross: Time is ticking down, its time. Who is next for Smackdown??

Jerry Lawler: Which loser is coming next?? Bret the 'Shitman' Hart, or The Jabroni???

Tazz: If I remember correctly, you were once forced to kiss Bret's foot, right King??

Jim Ross: Folks, Triple H is the last RAW superstar to enter, and only Bret Hart remains, for all ten men to enter.

Tazz: Raw will need to take advantage of this situation here, because Smackdown will have the last fresh man to enter, which has gotta put SmackDown, in my opinion, in the drivers seat.

Michael Cole: But how much damage can any of these guys go through after all the carnage we've seen so far???

Jerry Lawler: RAW were smart, they left their number one guy until last, and in my opinion, that’s smart, and smart decisions lead to victory.

JBL then puts Eddie in a headlock but Eddie bounces JBL off the ropes and when JBL runs back Eddie dropkicks him in the knee. Triple H is about to pick up Guerrero when JBL comes over and hits Triple H with a blow to the back. JBL hits him with another one before getting Triple H in a fall away slam position. JBL hits the Fall Away Slam and then raises his arm signaling for the clothesline from hell. Triple H gets to his feet and is staggering; JBL bounces off the ropes and fires at triple H with the clothesline from hell!! Triple H ducks it though and hits JBL with a huge spinebuster! All three men are down. After about half a minute Triple H and Eddie are starting to get to their feet. Eddie is first up and he goes over to Triple H, he hits him with a suplex and then another one and a third to finish off the three amigos. Eddie fires up and climbs to the top rope, he then taunts for the Frog Splash but JBL runs over and throws Eddie to the outside. 10…9…8…7…JBL walks over to Triple H and picks him up. 3…2…1…BEEP! Length: 10/10 – Brilliant length for a straight out singles match

Realism – One or two few minor things such as Angle taking a breather, it’s realistic but imo you had him do it too many times. – 9.5/10

Finish – The tap out by HBK, true it happened at Wrestlemania too but I realize you done this before it, I think it should’ve been a pinfall victory as I’m not in favour of HBK tapping out in these circumstances. Nonetheless it’s still a good way to end a match it just doesn’t get full marks from me – 9/10

Flow – 10/10 I could almost picture the match in my head it was written perfectly, absolutely nothing to fault here, excellent job

Varity and knowledge of moves – Both men did the trademark moves, although I’m not sure on Kurt Angle applying the Sharpshooter that’s something I wouldn’t think he would do against HBK who rarely uses the hold. 9.5/10

Length: 10/10 – Very long well done

Realism 9/10 – This was kept very realistic but some parts where rushed which would mean they weren’t selling as well but due to the type of match it was it had to be that way so it’s a minor. Some crazy bumps but I think they are fine, perhaps the Jericho one was a bit odd though.

Finish – 10/10 – The usual Rock type finish, dramatic and considering it was a big match it’s a great way to end it.

Flow – 9.5/10 – It must’ve been hard to keep a match like this flowing well you did it almost perfectly.

Varity and knowledge of moves 10/10 – Absolutely Perfect

The Totals Are:

Wolf Beast – 96/100
Red Cold – 97/100

Extremely close but on this occasion it was Red Cold’s time. Unlucky Wolf Beast but well done for submitting such a brilliant match and good luck in the rest of the tournament Calum, I don’t see anyone stopping you.

Length – 7/10. For an Eddie Guerrero/Rey Mysterio US Title match, a 2 page match just isn’t enough.

Realism – 9/10. The whole match was great, reminded me of WrestleMania 21, but the finish was in my estimation, poorly booked, and that’s why a 10 wasn’t given out.

Finish - 8/10. Very exciting finish. Again though, it wasn’t really realistic. Rey wears a mask so you wouldn’t see all his face, and I doubt he would have had so much blood that it was pouring on the floor.

Flow - 9.5/10. Not many complaints. I would have given it a 10 if it were set out in paragraphs to make it easier to read.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 10/10. Cannot complain. Both finishers were there as well as a vast array of other moves.

Overall – 43.5/50 = 87/100

Highlight Reel

Length – 9/10. Narrowed it down to about 4 pages without the gaps. Good length for a gimmick match, possibly a page or two more would have been better.

Realism – 9/10. Again not perfect. RVD had all the moves but JBL seemed a little slow to me. Don’t know why, but it did.

Finish - 8/10. The Van Daminator is a great way to finish a match, especially one such as a No DQ, but I didn’t feel that the match needed to benefit from a foreign object being used to get the win.

Flow – 9/10. Didn’t flow for me as nicely as mikebibby’s did, but it was nevertheless a fun match between two guys of completely contrasting styles.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 10/10. Everything was there.

Overall – 45/50 = 90/100

By the skin of your teeth. Mike, if you’d have capitalised on the length, you would have been through. Commiserations and good luck in your future BTB Tournaments!

Captain Charisma:

Length – 1/10. I hope your ashamed of yourself. This was a pathetic attempt I'm afraid. You used 6 guys, and it barely made a page. Already, I'm wondering how you progressed from the first round.

Realism – 2/10. Again, it's pathetic. Firstly, I'm 90 per cent sure I saw this match on Raw the week before the Royal Rumble, and that immediately takes the mark WAAAAAY down.

Finish - 2/10. Once again, I think this was the finish between these guys the week before RR.

Flow – 6/10. Flowed okay, but it ended very abruptly. I'm becoming more certain this all happened a week before RR.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 8/10. This was fine, but I'm not giving you full marks, as I really think you just wrote down what happened in the six man tag before the RR. Hopefully someone can have a look at this match, and clarify, or tell me I'm wrong, but I dont think I am.

Score: 38/100. Never embarrass yourself like that again please.

HBK_nWo33:

Length – 7/10. Not quite long enough for a match such as an Elimination Chamber, but thankfully, one of you used your own mind, and creativity.

Realism – 9/10. I cant pick out too many faults here. There didnt seem to be a well timed interval between each entrant though, with some seemingly entering sooner than others.

Finish - 10/10. Excellent finish which could've gone either way between Angle and Rock, very exciting, and the best part of the match imo.

Flow – 9/10. Didn’t flow for me in parts, with it being hard to read when someone entered. Next time show it, like the way you did when someone was eliminated, to make it easier to read.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 9/10. Nothing too bad to complain about. Maybe you could've used a few more to make the match last a little longer.

Score: 88/100. Without doubling your score, you would've progressed with 44 points. If you really intend on winning the tourney, you'll need to really raise your game by at least a further five points. To be honest, I'm not sure if you have got what it takes to do so, with Red Cold, and the matches he has on offer.

HBK_nWo progresses, with little competition.

**Congratulations Calum too. My run had to end at one point I guess, but I did have a 14 match unbeaten run, and this is only my second defeat. You definately deserved it, but my consolation prize, is that I would have progressed into the next round had I faced anyone else. Maybe next time we can meet in the final. One last thing...dont screw it up, I dont want to be beaten by someone who doesnt even win the god damn thing!!!...now to update my drop down box...(sobs)**

Grading for The Black Abyss v Mr. WrestleMania v Jushin Liger

The Black Abyss' Marks:

Length – 7/10. A Reasonably long match, but no-where near long enough for a War Games match.

Realism – 8/10. Nothing was "unrealistic", but it lacked any major bumps or moments to remember. Also RVD and Christian were eliminated waaaay to early and easily.

Finish - 9/10. Finish was fine, if a little predictable.

Flow – 8/10. Flow was fine, just too much punching methinks.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 7/10. This was fine, most finishers we're used but we didn't get to see enough of RVD. Alos Randy Orton used the RKO too many times.

Score: 78/100. You can do MUCH better.

Jushin Liger's Marks:

Length – 10/10. For a Cruiserweight match, a FANTASTIC length.

Realism – 8/10. Nothing too bad to note here, everything seemed in order.

Finish - 7/10. Seemed a little too sudden and unpredictable, needed a little improvement.

Flow – 8/10. Flowed okay, but it ended very abruptly.

Variety of Knowledge and Moves – 9/10. Brilliant variety, i can tell you will be one to watch in future tourneys.

Score: 82/100. Very well done, convincing win for me.

Jushin Liger goes through.

**Note: <3 u Wolfie :) I'm honoured to be the one that finally stops your winning streak :)**
