- Yeah, it’s just something I chose to do, to be Bron Breakker. This is something I wanted. I kind of wanted to go my own way because I knew it was super easy for me to lean into being a Steiner. I just wanted to carve my own path and be my own guy. So, I show my respects and salutes to the Steiners and everything, with my gear, my move set sometimes, or just whatever. But yeah, I just wanted to go my own way.

Ill never get the whole "I want to do my own thing" excuse for the different name when he basically is acknowledging that he is a Steiner every time he is on TV. It's in his voice, his appearance, the bark, etc. Through the different entrance musics for Bron they always make sure that include that Scott Steiner inspired siren at the beginning. This will always be something that I don't agree with Bron on.

I haven't seen the McAfee interview but Bron looked talkative and friendly here with Chris, even though he kept looking down instead of looking at Chris. I like Bron but the one thing that I noticed in the past is that he doesn't do interviews well. He acts like he doesn't want to be there.

Oh yeah, you really went your own way, fuckface. You're not leaning into it at all.

So he's saying he chose to openly break kayfabe by not using his family's wrestling name, even though he makes constant references to being a Steiner, everybody knows he's a Steiner, and the commentators say he's a Steiner, by coming up with the stupidest, most observably fake, nonexistent in the real world name he could've ever had, for no reason, when it makes everything so much more legitimate and credible to just say you're a Steiner.

God damn it, this fucking moron makes my blood boil. Fuck Bron Steiner and everything he stands for, and fuck the company for not telling him that he's gonna be a Steiner and letting him be a fake, kayfabe breaking jackoff.

I think his ring name is fine but I miss when wrestlers had memorable nickname tags like Big Poppa Pump and Freakzilla really sold the larger than life character
They should change his ring name to Bone Breaker, Reichsteiner

The story doesn't make any sense. Everything about him screams Steiner so how is he going his own way?

I think the real explanation WWE being cunts about the rights to the name. He doesn't want to give his name up because he knows if he does he'll never get it back. Keith Lee had a tremendous amount of trouble getting the right to his own name back, Cody Rhodes had to do some kind of deal with giving up some claim to the Great American Bash and The Match Beyond that he'd inherited from Dustin Rhodes before he was allowed to call himself Cody Rhodes again.

Walter/Gunther did the same thing taking on an alternative ring name.

Came to say something similar. He uses their moves. His tights are similar. He barks like a dog. His promo style is similar. What in his presentation is original??

"I just wanted to go my own way" thats pretty cool, Bron Breakker gets it.

So it was his decision, not creative's decision right? Because now all of a sudden Bron Breakker is a pretty cool name now.
