I'd respect him more if he stopped flying around so much. Save that type of shit for special occasions! Work a real big man style with maybe a big man top rope splash here and there. However, I think he could be something special with new attire as well. He looks like an action figure. Cage has a good look, "too roided" looking at times, but if he cuts back on the juice, he can look less freakishly bad.

I really can't stand the independent name he has been using. The last name Cage isn't bad, but I really think a first name change should be in his future should he ever join the WWE. He would be a huge surprise for the Royal Rumble. I am not a huge fan of him, but if he showed up at the Rumble, I'd might mark for him with a new look and name. A part in the Royal Rumble is certainly a way to get a person over with the fans in a short period of time when done properly. This could be a deal breaker for a guy who wasn't much on the independent circuit.

If anything, he deserves a spot at the Royal Rumble. Show the world what he can do on a very big stage. Give him that moment where the fans think he may have a chance, perhaps final 4, or 3 left. Let him eliminate a big name, or two. Give him the spotlight. He might not impress everyone, but he certainly will stand out.
If he showed up at the Rumble, no one would know who he is lol.

Don Callis did when he was booking IMPACT. He's not booking AEW though.
'If I looked like Brian Cage I would be a multi-millionaire and probably take three bumps a year."

Cage took more than three bumps against Danny Limelight in an AEW ring, including eating a hurricanrana. Cage's USP and bread and butter on the indies is that he looks like he does but can wrestle like a cruiserweight, he unwisely took that to his TV work where he's bumping like he's Curt Hennig in matches against Tessa Blanchard and Darby Allin.

Problem with discussing guys like Brian Cage is most AEW fans think you have to be at the top or your total trash. Cage is fine, he just isn't a top of the card guy. With a roster that bloated he isnt worth resigning.

Not a loss to AEW and a better fit for WWE. If he left for there, it would probably be best for everyone in the end.

I like him though. Hr's not just been dealt a shit hand with booking, but he's also not exactly been impressive either.

That's very possible, but with a San Antonio crowd? Even if he gets a low crowd pop, I still think it's a perfect time to showcase a talent. The Royal Rumble can be a great tool for developing a very strong first impression for someone "new". There will be millions watching via stream, television, or other devices. So, it's not just the live audience.

Why would anyone in San Antonio care about him? He’s a minor leaguer who has never made an impression anywhere other than people seeing him and saying ‘wow, talk about a guy being on the gear.’

If he can’t get over in AEW, why would WWE waste a spot at the Rumble on a jobber?
