Familiar w/ his work in Impact and Lucha Underground (especially), and gotta say how much he's been underutilized as a talent.
Dude's a beast w/ his look and can actually go in the ring so if Khan is pushing all of his vanilla flippy guys w/ no personality then why can't he give good consistent booking to a guy like Cage??

He has been used fine. He hasn’t connected with the audience. He’s had chances.

That being said, he’s capable of good matches and I’d rather see him than some other people that get featured, but it’s still no big deal if he goes.
In a real fight, I definitely think Danielson would whoop Cage's ass.
No, he wouldn't. The fuck?

I know hating and making fun of Cage is the cool thing to do, but let's be realistic. He would murder Bryan. Without much difficulty.
Cage is the rare person who deserves more and deserves exactly what the fuck he got lol

guy with the most muscles doesn't always win. I realize it's a show but I would definitely much rather wrestle Brian Cage than Bryan Danielson. Danielson goes out there and kicks the shit out of his opponents and gets the shit kicked out of him like it was real. Cage seems very kind and soft to me. They're about the same height, so neither will have a significant reach advantage I figure. Does Cage have a martial arts background of some sort?
If there ever was an appropriate time for bots to run a thread, this would be it

Honestly, I don’t care for this guy at all. Can’t talk, and can’t really work either. Looks like a muscle bound freak but does nothing impressive physically other than Lucha stuff.
I might be in the minority but I like me some Brian Cage. Cage to New Japan please.

But Bryan is a vegan and doesn’t own a TV so I don’t rate his chances in a real fight. Too hipster.

Good point! Maybe Cage will go into business for himself and turn the match into a hot dog eating contest...or The Walking Dead trivia?

Unfortunately he was very similar in Impact where initially it looked like he had huge potential but once he won their world title, he was injury prone and when he wasn’t injuried, his reign became boring. He was better as the chaser than face champion.

NJPW would probably be best for Cage as he’d get booked as a beast and hopefully they’d be able to teach him that being more hoss, strong style than lunch liber would be better suited for him. He could still do a couple of floppy moves but it doesn’t need to be his whole move set.

It's ok if he leaves. The guy is jacked out of his skull yes but what is he beyond that? He wrestles just like everyone else, He's no goldenboy on the microphone. He's just Roided to all hell. He is like a less charismatic, less interesting, less psychology Scott Steiner. And that is giving him alot.

Cage is just a ballooned up gymnast but did we learn nothing from CM Punk. Just because Bryan pretends he knows legit submission holds and the like doesn't actually mean he does.

I know people associate me more with the "size marks" here, but this guy blows.
It's just one of those that didn't work out the way everybody had hoped and it's time to move on.

I really liked him in Impact. I know traditionists tend to shit on big guys who are versatile but I quite liked the story he told in Impact that he could beat people with the power moves and could still beat them at there own game too.

In AEW he never really got the opportunity to tell that and that's not a dig at the creative. An impressive jacked up new addition was the right opponent to move Jon Moxley along at the time when there was no crowds or no bigger names willing to sign and play that role. Ricky Starks always resonated with the crowd better when they were on the same side so he was always up against it in the short time they had to work there feud. There's also the issue that AEW have big guys who are younger and have more upside with untapped potential in Wardlow, Vance, Josh Woods etc.

I think a return for Impact would be good for him right now and would be a good way to move Josh Alexander's lengthy title reign forward. It presents a different challenge to Bully, Edwards, Speedball, Kazarian etc.

Not against Brazilian jiu jitsu black belts and professional fighters.

Where’s the video of ‘bodybuilder vs. vegan hipster who doesn’t own a TV’?

I'd respect him more if he stopped flying around so much. Save that type of shit for special occasions! Work a real big man style with maybe a big man top rope splash here and there. However, I think he could be something special with new attire as well. He looks like an action figure. Cage has a good look, "too roided" looking at times, but if he cuts back on the juice, he can look less freakishly bad.

I really can't stand the independent name he has been using. The last name Cage isn't bad, but I really think a first name change should be in his future should he ever join the WWE. He would be a huge surprise for the Royal Rumble. I am not a huge fan of him, but if he showed up at the Rumble, I'd might mark for him with a new look and name. A part in the Royal Rumble is certainly a way to get a person over with the fans in a short period of time when done properly. This could be a deal breaker for a guy who wasn't much on the independent circuit.

If anything, he deserves a spot at the Royal Rumble. Show the world what he can do on a very big stage. Give him that moment where the fans think he may have a chance, perhaps final 4, or 3 left. Let him eliminate a big name, or two. Give him the spotlight. He might not impress everyone, but he certainly will stand out.
