On principle, he's right. He's the only guy who knocked out the owner of a company after the owner screwed him over. No other wrestler can claim that. Now of course, it landed him in trouble as it gave the said owner legal leverage over him. The WWE and their stooges can change the stories as much as they want about how McMahon took a dive or he went their wanting to take the punch or whatever folklore they want to excogitate depending upon the interview/documentary/show, but reality is they got into it, Bret knocked out a bigger taller and a more authoritative and proven evil piece of trash in the locker room.

Bret Hart should have beat the crap out of Shawn Michaels for real right in front of the live television after the match ended. And he should have whupped the future son-in-law backstage as well.

If in fact McMahon/WWE were in the right, they never would have resorted to subterfuge. Bret was, still is and will always be in the right as far as the MSJ or knocking out Vince McMahon is concerned.

I don’t ever agree with violence, but remember when Triple H tried to always act tough & claim what they did was right (like on Off The Record the following year), but on Wrestling with Shadows you can see clear as day him getting owned by Bret Hart’s wife with-out even saying anything back. What a joke.
Of course because Julie rightfully put the blame on the future son-in-law and he had nothing to say. He looked annoyed more than anything.

However, it got to the point it did or who was "in the right" is irrelevant. The simple fact remains that had ANYONE chose to grow the fuck up and be professional the whole thing could have been avoided. Don't piss and moan about situations you had a significant hand in creating for yourself.
Really? He created it?

You don't think Michaels being an unprofessional prick and getting away with it on a consistent basis has anything to do with it?

I work for a Fortune 100 company as an engineer. If I go to my workplace and start running my mouth off about how I am not going to help anyone or say that I am not going to work with anyone or anything pertaining to a particular co-worker, I would be terminated either the same day or the day after that.

Spare me your drivel; this is at the end of the day about one guy who was right and the other guy who was the owner, the owner won because he owns the company and everyone else listened or sided with him because he signed their checks. That's all there is to it.

I knocked him out clean one punch. What an ego this man has. Wow Bret you knocked a 60 year old non wrestler out with one punch? Good for you You bitter old man. Goldberg knocked you out with one Kick.
Correction; he knocked out a 52 year old steroided 260 lbs guy who was also taller than Bret by 3 inches. And he did it with one punch. Not only did, McMahon got a concussion and has vision problems to this day because of it. No wonder Shawn Michaels started crying like a b***h soon after cause he thought that he would be next. Instead Bret just shakes his hands and leave instead of giving Michaels the exact same courtesy he gave McMahon.

Bret should be proud of what he did. Cause no one would dare kick their boss's a** for real and walk away like that.
