Breaking "kayfabe" on Smackdown?

It's exactly what needs to be done on the part of none other than Wade Barrett. Right now one of the hottest things going in the WWE right now is Ryback. What better than to instead pin Ryback again, Barrett instead humiliates him on live television? It was only two years ago when Barrett pinned Skip Sheffield, and that season he went on to become the first ever NXT Superstar to get an official contract from the WWE. He says along that way he defeated such stars as former WHC Daniel Bryan, and even Ryback.

This should happen at the end of a Ryback match, and out comes Wade Barrett. He doesn't even call him Ryback, but instead calls him Skip. Wade taunts the fans, and mentions how careless we all are that we forget so easily who this "bum" of a wrestler is. Barrett actually would ask the fans if they already forgot that Ryback was just another cog in The Nexus led by none other than Wade Barrett? This would draw major heat. Barrett says that Ryback is so insecure he thought of a new name, and look, but Wade says he sees right through that shallow man. Drops the mic, and walks off.

Here we have a feud started off right away. If MizTV is still running then he should have the exclusive interview with Ryback. Obviously The Miz is perfect because last time Ryback destroyed his set. This way Miz can remind him of that incident any chance he gets. Ryback explains that this is the entertainment industry, and he realized that he needed something that these great fans could connect with. Miz interrupts him, and tells him that he needs to stop pandering to his viewing audience. Ryback says that most know him as Skip Sheffield from The Nexus, and he says that he needed something that said he was here to kick ass, and take titles.

Miz tells Ryback that they have one thing in common, and that he is talking about himself, and Wade Barrett. He says that Ryback played second to both of them. Miz tells Ryback that he remembers him on Tough Enough, and that he was nobody back then making a name off of someone else. The same way he did it with Wade Barrett in The Nexus. Ryback snaps, and destroys The Miz. Out comes Wade Barrett with a pair of brass knuckles, and he knocks out Ryback. Miz, and Barrett are both pounding on Ryback. Due to this a match is demanded by Ryback the following week in which he wants both men in a match 2 vs 1 handicap. He would later win that match via DQ after Wade takes out his brass knuckles.

The story told with Ryback vs Wade feud starts with Miz being involved briefly all the way until the handicap match. At this point the feud actually has already started the moment Wade interrupts a Ryback match. You take this feud through various levels without having the two men fight each other right away. A solid feud is something the WWE is missing, let alone a solid story to the feud. Ryback can still squash his foes in the ring all the while Barrett does the same to his opponents.

Each man trying to out do the other man until their PPV showdown. What you want is to show that Barrett is the better character, and a top card heel which Wade should prove easily. Then you want Ryback to eventually go over, and win at their PPV match, but Wade leaves Ryback in the ring a bloody mess. Both men move on, and Ryback keeps the streak in place all the while still seeming to be human, and not some rehashed gimmick of ultimate destroyer of all opponents.
