I am intrigued by this match-up this coming Monday Night.

I recall sometime last year, watching a hot streak RVD face Wade Barrett on Raw.

The match was very poor and I subsequently pointed the figure at Barrett. It was a big clash of styles and I was disappointed/surprised that he couldn't work with RVD.

Several months down the line, RVD is looking like he doesn't belong on live TV and Barrett has re-established himself and will most probably go over.

Do you expect this to be a good match?

Barret has been putting on some decent matches since coming back and his match against Sheamus was PPV-worthy so there's definitely something to look forward to there. Cesaro vs Barrett would've clearly been a better match, but I'm guessing that the WWE wants to protect both guys at this point so from that perspective their booking makes sense.

Barret's facing Big E for the IC and that's going to be a better match imo.

I'm done with RVD. He's boring, repetitive and there's nothing he can do anymore that hasn't been seen before. He's done as far as I'm concerned.

I am hoping Barrett wins next week simply because to me he is more entertaining, and I believe he has more to offer than RVD if we look at WWE in the long term. RVD has been with the company for ages, and I don't think there is anything left that he can actually do that he already hasnt. The guy is way past his prime, him and Christian should just wrestle their last match already and retire.

RVD will be putting Barrett over so he is in a good position for the IC title clash, where I hope they book him to win. Big E's IC title run has been average at best. RVD was an awesome talent back in the day. He is not up to the level of the emerging talent now though.

I like the idea of Barrett over RVD, but he might lose to Big E simply because he's had the IC belt before and had shit runs with it. WWE should focus on bringing up the prestige of the IC (but they probably won't) unless they plan on splitting the top spot into two again.

I like Barrett this go round. He's simply doing the cliched cocky heel, but he has the mic skills to pull it off effectively, imo. I think he should be used to start some meaningful mid card feuds again. But knowing the WWE they'll just stick the IC belt on him again and allow him to lose several non-title matches, just like before. Let's hope not.

Much prefer BNB to RVD, but at this point I'm not sure if I actually want Barrett to win. The IC title nowadays is pretty much the ultimate poisoned chalice, you've only got to look at the way Big E winning it absolutely killed his momentum.

If they were to book his reign correctly and have him feud with the likes of Sheamus then I'm in favour of him winning the title. I expect him to aswell, he's been quite protected since he came back (especially when appearing in the Shield/Authority segments) and don't think we've seen the last of the Swagger vs RVD vs Cesaro triangle.

Yeah OP, I thought the match with Cesaro was a bit awkward and as i said as much as i like RVD i don't think there was any need to have him back. He looks done and for a move set like his he is starting to look lethargic and struggling to pull it all off. he also threw himself ar Cesaro a few times only for nothing to happen.

BNB has surprised me, I have always been a fan of Wade Barrett because of his football (proper football, not the nosense americans claim) allegiances but i wasn't sold on the BNB gimmick. he's solid in the ring and good on the mic, he's very well rounded and by the crowd reaction he seems to be over so let's see how it goes.

Id honestly prefer if rvd won this one. Barret can later take the title off of him.

I'm hoping Barrett wins and then goes on to take the title from Big E. I really like the character so if he does win the title I hope they actually have something for him to do and it's not just a case of putting it on him so that there's a couple of British champs for the UK tour.
