What would you consider the "biggest" match in Raw history? I don't mean the best in terms of match quality, just the biggest marquee match they've ever given away for free on TV on Raw.

I think some matches kind of lose their value without the perspective of the climate they took place in. For example, the Austin vs Big Show ("Paul Wight") match in 1999 just before WrestleMania was a HUGE match at the time as Show had just come over from WCW and it could have easily headlined a PPV, but it's probably not a match people think of anymore when talking about the biggest matches ever.

My pick would be Rock & Austin vs nWo (Hogan, Hall & Nash). The star power in that match is crazy. Literally the 3 biggest stars in the business of all-time in the same ring at once, along with two of the most influencial.

nWo vs Rock and Austin by far.

Honorable mentions:
-Triple Threat tag match (Cena & Taker vs DX vs Jeri-Show) 2009
-Rock and Austin vs Brothers of Destruction 2001
-E and C and The Power Trip vs The Hardyz and Brothers Of Destruction 2001
-Austin and Vince and Rock vs HHH and Taker and Shane 1999
-Cena and Flair and HHH and HBK vs Umaga and JBL and Big Show and Orton 2008
-Hogan and HBK and Cena vs Tyson Tomko and Christian and Jericho 2005

I have two, one for nostalgia and one for actual wrestling and crowd support.

1. John Cena vs Shawn Michaels April 23rd 2007 after WM 23.

I can't stand Cena but that was better than their Wrestlemania match and had the crowd by the balls. go and treat yourself to a little bit of something you don't see often. Watchable John Cena.

2. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho Vs HHH & Stone Cold May 21st 2001

Epic. Walls of Jericho with a torn quad. He may be the King of Shovels but when it comes down to it, he's the best for business.

These 2 were massive, will never forget that night HHH tore his quad, insane match.

There are a handful of choices to choose from but the match that I always seem to remember is The Rock & Stone Cold vs. NWO on RAW prior to WM 18. I suppose it's the closest we'll ever see of Austin vs. Hogan.

When Mankind won the WWF title on Raw against the Rock. That match changed the fate of the Monday night wars.

Cena Taker vs DX vs Jerishow, Benoit and Jericho vs HHH and SCSA, CM Punk vs John Cena the MITB contract match and the one to choose who's gonna fgiht Rock at WM
I think those matches were great.

But the question is the BIGGEST match not the best match.

The 3 biggest stars in wrestling history are Hogan, Austin and The Rock.

And them being in the same ring makes nWo vs Rock and Austin inarguably the biggest match in RAW history especially how it happened, after the end of the Monday Night Wars.
