Backlash is usally pretty damn good, even if it is mostly WM rematches. Backlash 2009 was better than WM25, Summerslam 2009, The Royal Rumble 2009 and Survivor Series 2009.

But for the 4 and a half years I've been watching there has always been a PPV that is bettert than the Big 4. Or Maybe comes close to being the best.

2006: Unforgiven
2007: Backlash
2008: Can't really decide since most of the PPVs were pretty much even except for WM24 which was awesome.
2009: Backlash
2010: Extreme Rules/Money in the Bank

In my opinion it is Night of Champions. We get to see all the titles on the line and meaning something for one night...although it does remind me of Benoitgate.

Was the main event legacy vs HHH,Shane,Batista ?
It was the penultimate match; the main event was Cena/Edge Last Man Standing.

I'd agree with Backlash. Extreme Rules seems the best of the new breed of gimmick PPVs.

King of the Ring was always entertaining.

The No Way Out/Elimination Chamber PPV usually puts on a solid show from year to year. Backlash was always a favourite too and had some great events.

NWO 2000, 2001 - Backlash 2000, 2004 are some good examples.
