We've had the worst idea they ever had thread but what about the best? They often get a lot of crap but rarely get recognized for their good ideas.

The first idea that comes to mind is the transition into the Attitude Era but the more that I thought about it, (while it was a magnificent time for wrestling) I remembered that the Attitude Era was filled with major fuck ups. There was the "Even my immediate family bought it" incredibly stupid twist, The Artist formerly known as Goldust, the finish at WM 16, the finish at WM 17, the repetitive dysfunctional family rivalry, the PMS storyline, and perhaps the worst of all Mae Young giving birth to a hand.

So in my book the best idea WWE ever had was the Wrestlemania concept that has proved to be their biggest money maker

Russo's decision to launch the Attitude Era. It will be talked about for decades, WWE '13 is dedicated to it, and it changed the face of wrestling as everyone knew it for the better.

the finish at WM 17
I don't mean to derail the thread, but what was wrong with WM 17 ending? That Austin heel turn was one of the most unexpected swerves in wrestling history.

What was wrong was the aftermath. WWE lost a HUGE chunk of its viewers because of that, Austin's character was almost completely ruined and he never recovered from it. He started becoming whiney, a kiss up, and pretty much the very opposite of what made him so popular. WWE pretty much fucked themselves with that heel turn, by the time they had Austin go back to the ass-kicking machine he was when he was the leader of the Alliance, it was too late. WWE had already lost a huge ton of its viewers and nothing would bring them back. Then when Austin went face again, his career just took a downward spiral, in fact that very downward spiral was one of the reasons he decided to quit. I mean you go from winning the world title at 3 wrestlemanias to losing to a rookie in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament (an accolade that he already had to his credit)
