Re: Best build up for a ppv match in WWE history?

It's hard for me to imagine anything better than "The Mega Powers Explode" in the lead up to WrestleMania V.
You could trace the origins of that feud going back 2 years to Hogan/Andre at WM3.

Austin vs HHH, No Way Out 2001.
Austin vs Rock II, Wrestlemania 17.
Cena vs Punk, MITB 2011, "Do I have everyone's attention now?"

Re: Best build up for a ppv match in WWE history?

Rock Austin 1 Wm 12 I Think it was. Just the build up of at that time The Two biggest megastars in pro wrestling. Never well their ever be a time where WWE has two megastars at one time. Austin with his bear truck. The match itself changed the game too. One of the best mania matches of all time

Rock Austin 2 Wm 17

Hogan Rock Wm 2003

Punk v Cena 2011

Wyatt v Taker Wm 2015 (Match it self was okay, but the build up alone I enjoyed)
