No arguments here. General managers work best when they have actual wrestling experience like Pearce and Aldis, they also work as producers contributing backstage. Ava has no experience and offers nothing, if she wasn't The Rocks daughter she'd have already been released, if she had even been hired in the first place.

What baffles me over and over again is how all of these multi generational talents virtually never take after their fathers. If their father was Ric Flair, you get Charlotte, if their father was Mr. Perfect, you get Curtis Axel, if their father was The Rock, who is charisma in human form, you get anti-charisma in human form.....but if their father was some dullard like IRS, you get Bray Wyatt.

Stevie Turner, while OTT corny at times is far far far better. She actually has personality and can play more than one character.

She's decent in her role but she's definitely a nepotism hire. What are her credentials to be in a GM role? She's got no experience in the business and is barely a trained wrestler. Why is she in that position. With Rock on the board she likely has a job for life. When she's no longer a GM she'll probably work backstage in some capacity because she failed as a wrestler but she will always have a job.

Ava works for a generation and demographic that I don't feel like 90% of the people here understand.

She has improved. I'm not her biggest fan, but I can see how she does appeal in the same way the game skate. exists as it does.

I think the issue with this promo is more it not having any real interaction from an audience, studio or otherwise, so it falls flat. They (WWEl have a habit with doing this in general though. It feels very sterilised.

 

I think every great wrestler gets one nepo hire. It’s Nia or Ava. Rocks gotta pick

Bad nepotism isn’t exactly new. Check out Erik Watts and David Sammartino.

 

I'd understand the criticisms more if she was an actual in-ring talent but they moved her away from that ages ago. She's done well in her role as GM of NXT in my opinion, I think most people moved on from the whole nepotism stuff though, she seems fairly popular in this role.

I just don't think it's that deep.
