This is just rumor but things can still change. I'm expecting Austin to be there with other legends as well. But thoughts on him returning to set up the segment with Punk?

Why are people always talking about Austin/Punk?

Austin isn't going to wrestle so what would be the point?
After Punk's worked shoot, Austin said that if he was to come back it would be against Punk. Since then he's said several times that if the stars aligned he could come back for one more match.

Austin is a GOAT, Punk is a top talent, and the feud writes itself. Why wouldn't people talk about the potential of an Austin/Punk feud?

Why is everyone caught up on Austin working Mania next year? The match is guaranteed to be mediocre. WWE needs to focus on their current roster instead of bringing big names back from the past. Especially ones who can't work anymore.

Funny, because if an Austin/Punk feud was to ever begin, it should have with that 900th Raw episode segment, concluding with the match finally taking place at Wrestlemania XXVII. Punk's character has developed so far past that point in the last year, though, that you'd have to retroactively circle him back around to that Straight Edge Savior heel figure for the program to truly take off.

This big time. Felt like a big ass tease when that happened. Punk vs Austin then would have been pretty damn good. After Punk's program with Jericho I don't even care to see anymore alcohol related angles though tbh.

I think he'd rather face Daniel Bryan at this point. Bryan is a safer worker, he's talked him up on twitter a few times, and they both got the chants that most people love to do at the show.

Yes! Vs What? will take place at a future Wrestlemania.
