That's my prediction. When you think about it, if Roode wins, what's left for him between Destination X and Bound For Glory? Everyone is in the Bound For Glory Series and CAN'T challenge the world heavyweight champion. So what I see happening is Austin Aries and Bobby Roode exchanging the belt until Bound For Glory.

Destination X: Austin Aries becomes the World Heavyweight Champion and proves that he belongs in the main-event.
Hardcore Justice: Bobby Roode gets is rematch against Aries and gets back is title.
No Surrender: Austin Aries gets is rematch against Roode but loses the match. Bobby Roode retains the belt.
Bound For Glory: Bobby Roode vs James Storm.

Austin Aries vs Bobby Roode could be one hell of a feud for this summer and I expect Aries to win the belt at Destination X proving that he belongs in the main-event. At the same time, it would keep Roode busy since he can't really start a feud with the wrestlers in the BFG Series.

I think we're more likely to see something like when Jericho won the World title from HHH in 2000 only to have the decision reversed afterwards.

This is actually a great idea, especially since your right just about all his challengers are in the BFG series and Sting will be in a big storyline himself from the looks of it.

Roode will retain. I can only hope though Aries will some how get put into the BFG Series as a later entry and have to play catch up, eventually leading a back and forth in points with Storm for the lead, heading off a match between the two to decide who gets the final points to face Roode at BFG. Then Storm will win and move on to face and defeat Roode. If they're going to be predictable with Storm facing Roode, atleast make me feel like they might swerve me with Aries winning the series going neck and neck with Storm in points.

Roode is keeping that title through both Aries and Storm. He's going to hold that belt two years. Of course, this is just what I hope happens, and I could be wrong.

Would be stupid to give Aries the title tbh, Roode needs to continue to look as strong as he possibly can for his epic battle with Storm.

They are going to leave the door open for a rematch because after Aries, Roode isn't going to have much strong competition with guys like Angle, AJ, Hardy, RVD, Joe, Ray, and of course Storm all in the BFG Series. The only other name I can think of that they could throw at Roode after Aries is maybe Abyss, and I don't even know what their plan is for him.

I'd rather they have Roode keep the title until he drops it at BFG, but there is a lot of intrigue for me in this Aries/Roode match. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

abyss?

morgan?

i see wat ur saying, but i dont want to see roode lose the title just to win it back a month later. i would be shocked if aries wins the world title at destination x.

also if im booking, im not having roode wrestle at no surrender, id have that ppv be all about the final 4 in the bfg series.(storm, angle, aj, joe)

TNA know we're all expecting Storm to win the BFG Series and then beat Roode for the world championship in October, so I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Aries won the title at Destination X and went on to keep it until BFG and defend it against someone like Bully Ray, Kurt Angle, Joe, Daniels or AJ. You could have a great World Title match and then also have a huge grudge match between Storm and Roode.

In fact the more I think about it the more I think Aries could actually win the gold at DX, which is mainly a credit to TNA's booking as of late and the BFG Series concept which creates some really unique scenarios.

Austin Aries is going to win the title at Destination X. I'm pretty sure the majority of fans would rather see him win, then another round of Storm/Roode for the title (although I personally wouldn't mind it really).

Roode is now credible enough where he doesn't need to be champion anymore, he can drop the belt to Aries and still be the top heel in the company.

Have Aries beat Roode with a brainbuster at DX. They have a rematch at Hard Justice (or whatever the fuck they're calling it this year) where Storm interferes and costs Roode the match. Roode retaliates and injures Storm to eliminate him from BFG Series. Storm rehabs and is back in time for BFG. Also you have Kurt Angle win the BFG Series.

BFG 2012:

Storm vs Roode, Streetfight
Aries vs. Angle for World Title

I'd like to see TNA book the Aries VS Roode feud somewhat similar to the 1989 Flair VS Steamboat feud:

Destination X: Aries beats Roode and wins the title.
Hardcore Justice: Aries beats Roode to retain, but in a controversial fashion (Roode's foot on the rope). That sets up the 3rd match.
No Surrender: Roode beats Aries to regain the World Title.
Open Fight Night: Roode beats Aries again.
Bound for Glory: Storm takes the title from Roode.

More likely though, TNA will book Roode to lose by countout or DQ at Destination X and he'll beat Aries with the beer bottle at Hardcore Justice. Then, he won't defend his title again until Bound for Glory.

I'm fine with this regardless of what way TNA goes. Either way, we're probably getting multiple Roode VS Aries matches because there is nobody else for Roode to feud with during the summer. Sting is going to be tied up with the masked men (probably Jeff Jarrett and a few debuting wrestlers). Abyss is going to be too busy with Bully Ray. Morgan's finished all the dates on his contract, so he won't be back on TV any time soon. Basically, its going to be Roode VS Aries until the BFG Series is over.

If Roode loses at all until BFG, he will look weak when facing Storm or anyone on that night. They need to keep Roode unstoppable, and keep Storm away from Roode until BFG.

Not a bad idea with the Steamboat v Flair similarities. It could definitely work out well. And as far as Aries vs Roode all summer, I can think of a lot worse options. I'm down for a summer of Aries and Roode.

I sure hope not he's the most over rated wrestler today in my eyes I mean what has he done beat bully ray, indy guys and people on tnas shit list? I don't get the hype yeah he puts on a good match and a ok promo but every time he's in there with the big boys he swems overwhelmed . But if he can get to that next level all the better for tna but right now I just don't see it

Yup, makes perfect sense. TNA build 2 new strong ME stars for a great history making match at BFG for the title. Storm makes that emotional speech praying that Roode is champ by that time. And then he costs Roode the title? TNA to drop everything because Aries is over with the peeps? Give him a strong showing in the match and that's it. He shouldn't get the title, or he shouldn't get title yet, at least. This year belongs to Roode/Storm imo.

I think Aries comes close but losses. I think they've built up Roode so much that the when he losses the title it will happen at their biggest PPV which right now is BFG.

I agree. It would make Storm reclaiming the TNA World Heavyweight Championship that much more meaningful than if he did after someone already beat Roode.
