Are any WWE fans as delusional as the Dean Ambrose fan boys?

I just saw a few posts stating that Ambrose is certain to be a future main eventer in WWE. What? The guy hasn't even debuted yet, I remember people going crazy for him after the Mick Foley incident at Axcess thinking this was the start of an amazing revolution storyline with him and Mick Foley etc, then you had the morons thinking his debut was the CM Punk WWE 13' promo thing. I just think these guys are setting themselves up for a disappointment expecting this guy to walk into the WWE and have a massive story-line centered around him etc.

While some people have got a little carried away, there's no doubt the guys got a lot of talent, this will likely get moved to the Ambrose thread.
The same people that are going crazy for him now are the same people that are going to turn on him when he becomes champion, just like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, and many more. I am still waiting for people to turn against Ziggler and Barrett when and if they become champions :p

I've got no doubt in his potential/look/promo work/ring work etc but people are over-estimating how long it takes someone, especially an indie guy to get to the main event. Punk joined developmental in 2005 as one of the most hyped up indie guys around, it took him 3 years to get to the main event and even then he wasn't a bonafide main eventer on the A show until 2011.
I've never seen the guy personally, but it is really funny how EVERY SINGLE SHOW people talk about whether or not he is going to debut.
I'm not against this guy (I recently watched a bit of him and found him impressive tbh) but if this guy flops, watching the reactions on this forum is gonna be real fun. :D
the way some people on here mark for this guy is straight up terrifying sometimes.
The insane pre-marking out has been a bit much for the last while, but I'm still looking forward to Ambrose's debut. Love his look, he's great in the ring and he's got the tools to go far.

Still, I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be just a little funny to watch the IWC suffer a nuclear meltdown if he were to debut, plant his foot wrong and tear his quad HHH-style in his first TV match.
Yeah people were this crazy about Punk and Danielson before they got to WWE... those guys turned out pretty good.

I see nothing wrong with being a total mark for a wrestler.

I agree. There's no guarantee that Ambrose will be as good as those two, and I have a sense that some bandwagon members have only seen a few of his matches at most.

That said, if you like a guy, what's wrong with being excited about his eventual debut? If, in an alternate universe, I knew that Ernest "The Cat" Miller was on his way to WWE and that he promised to dance for 60 seconds before or during every match, I'd be excited as well.

I agree with this unless it's a wrestler I don't like or who doesn't bring in ratings in which case what the fuck are you thinking
My favourite was when someone said he was going to debut at Raw 1000, and win the WHC and the WWE title on the same night and save the entire WWE.

The guy is a dark match jobber.
I guess not. Look at the posts before the Raw 1000th show. Fans posted what they expected like a DX reunion, Evolution reunion, This is your Life, returns of people ike Austin, Flair, Shane, Goldberg but the Ambrose marks spamed the whole threads how this guy should debut in a show about past, nostalgia and memories. Some people even posted after the show how this show was lame because it had no Austin, Flair, Nash and Ambrose LOL
Someone posted in a funny picture thread a harmless photo of the WWE superstars and the Ambrose marks spamed the thread with "the future" comments only because they recognized him in the picture. Who cares for this shit in a funny pictures thread? And there are many other examples.
At least with the Rock, Punk, Bryan or Cena marks you can say that at least they have arguments why they praise them but whats up with this jabroni who has not even debuted yet?
I hope he gets a Mantaur, cross-dressing Vito, Bastion Booger or Tekno Team 2000 gimmick only because of some people here to laugh at them

Yeah, how dare people watch anything not-Raw.

People were massive Punk and Bryan marks for their work before WWE.... you know, like Ambrose. Same reasoning.
people said the same about bryan
It's one thing to be a fan or mark of someone and saying he would be world champion one day but it's ridiculous posting things like how a anniversary show sucked because he has not debuted or how he should close this show with the title.
It depends all on how he will perform. Take D Bryan for example, most people loved him in ROH and most of these people still like him due to his level of consistency. If Ambrose can perform at a similar level, the trend will continue. If he underperforms, which is not out of possibillity giving how some people want him as the face of the WWE the moment he comes in (which is pure overkill), they will turn on him. The best bet is to not expect too much, I never thought D Bryan could be a WHC for example and I was very happy when he did it. If you expect the max from the get go the only thing you can feel is disappointment imo.

People said things that were just as crazy and just as stupid about Punk and Bryan as well. The fact is, the delusional ones are usually the minority and somehow seem to be very vocal lol

Talent is talent though and it usually rises to the top and this guy has it in every area. That being said, Vince could fuck it up easily. Talented guys have failed before. To me, the guy is a special talent but we'll have to wait and see.
