He is still great on the mic and has excellent charisma.. He would be a massive upgrade over Booker for SD Commentary.. he could be Christian's manager.. maybe some sort of authoritative figure ala a GM

Personally I would like to see him stay involved with the Christian/ADR feud as Christian's sidekick

Don't know if he'd have much interest in that side of it. Probably want to go rest and relax for a bit first.

He seems like the type of guy who wants to be involved and help the industry whatever ways he can. I agree he will want to take some time off, but after sitting at home for a few weeks/months he could very likely wind up bored and wanting to be involved in some capacity

For now he should relax, he was pushing some intense matches before this news came up. And when the doctors heard ladder match at ER, they must have been like "fuck that" I hope he doesn't have a meltdown of any kind.

I imagine for now Edge will sit back and soak in the feeling of not having a 6 days-a-wekk schedule and take some time to do stuff he never got the chance to do while he was wrestling. But I imagine he will be back sooner or later. I'd love him to be a GM or commentator. He would fit great in that role.

I would like to see him be the next GM if only to provide a counterpoint to the computer on Raw. If he chooses to stay away though I wouldn't blame him as long as he doesn't do the Shawn Michaels thing and keep popping up whenever something needs promoting.

I'm pretty confident Edge will have some sort of role with professional wrestling down the line. However it is probably best for him to take some time off and clear his head. Staying away from the business he is so passionate about might do him some good. Coming back to an on air role too soon might give him that itch to comeback. Edge has put his body through so much and I'm just thankful he was able to walk away from the business in as good of health as he is going to get. In the future Edge will have a job. Whether it be on commentary, as GM, producer, agent, creative, trainer, etc. Edge has too much passion for this business and a great mind. Whatever capacity he has with wrestling in the future he will excel in it. But right now it is best for him to relax and enjoy his sudden retirement.
