I'm watching the Macho Man DVD and the security escorting the wrestlers to the ring is one thing that stands out the most from the 80s. Poorer visual quality is the other thing.
I always think of the 90's when I see that, because of Goldberg. No, I don't miss it at all, though. Why would I? It adds nothing to the show, at all. It matters as much as what color the referee shirts are.
I guess it's because back in the day it was more likely for a crazy/moronic fan to jump over the barricade and try to attack the Wrestler since Kayfabe was still alive back then.
