It was pretty obvious to everybody that Cena would pin Gabriel but I was impressed by his showing. He is not too bad on the mic and he is good in the ring, maybe once the Nexus angle has ended Gabriel will have a good future in WWE, what do you think?

Impressed, impressed... let's just say he did a good job (no pun intended). It's always nice to see WWE pushing new guys.

Honestly it was like Cena was hanging with him, not the other way around! Never questioned Gabriel's ability or in-ring style, but holy shit he was fantastic there.

I'm always impressed by Gabriel whenever he gets in the ring, he's an incredibly talented guy. My favorite of Nexus in fact. He has great facials and despite me thinking he wouldn't, he plays the heel character he has very, very well.

Anyone that seen this guy in fcw and pre-fcw days would know that Justin Gabriel is a phenominal performer. He isn't just your typical high flyer, but Justin is also a very technical wrestler and submission specialist if he wants to be(look at some of his previous work on fcw eg). I'm personally very glad that he wasn't made to look like a jobber(like him vs randy...). I actually wished the match lasted longer because him and cena could have definitely had the chance to put on a , but props to John for allowing Justin the showcasing and making Justin look very credible in the ring

Gabriel did make a very good account of himself, he's very athletic in the ring and he's not godawful on the mic, I can't see him getting kicked back down to FCW when the Nexus angle ends. He's here to stay for the immediate future when Nexus ends

Gabriel is astonishingly good. He's main event calibre and I would have never thought he'd be much bigger than a mid-carder at the start of NXT.

He's got an awesome moveset. Highflying ability, mat ability and even power. When I was watching him against Cena, it struck me that he's deceptively big. He's actually similar height to Cena and strong, yet he can fly around the ring like Bourne. His mic skills are okay, but his facial expressions are perfect.

Clearly WWE are high on the guy. Did you hear how the announcers were building him up in the ring? He's effectively Barrett's right hand man and right now, WWE really only have faith in him and Barrett. People were thinking he would get no benefit out of pinning Cena, but they made it pretty clear they're going to acknowledge it whenever they can.

One last thing in his favour, we've had the first ever Irish born World Champion. We're about to have the first British born world champion. First South African world champion coming up? They seem to be pushing the fact that they're a global brand of late, that's for sure.

Gabriel, as someone said before me, isn't a typical highflyer, he employs a lot of japanese strongstyle and can matwrestle pretty well aswell, to me he's a hybrid type of wrestler like Daniels, but it has always been easier to market someone as a highflyer than a hybrid wrestler so I can see why WWE call him like that, not to mention that the gutwrench he did on Cena was highly impressive, he's got a lot of power for a small guy, maybe he's a cruiserweight genetic freak lol. Regardless, he and Cena have incredibly good chemistry with each other, if WWE could somehow build a feud leading to a 20 mins+ PPV match with them two I think we would easily get a ****+ showing.

THIS

I sincerly hope that WWE sees the potential in a possible 20 mins+ PPV match. This will definitely be able to steal the spotlight on most of WWE PPV's of today. They just really mix well together

WWE made it quite evident last night that they want Gabriel to be a major player, and it's well-deserved. The way Cole put him over on commentary last night was remarkable. Vince McMahon is feeding him that stuff, remember that.

"Deceptively big" is the perfect way to describe it. People have been saying "he's too small"... uhh, guys? Gabriel is 220 pounds. Is CM Punk also "too small"?

Gabriel is excellent in the ring and is so much beyond just a high flyer; he has technical ground ability and submission ability as well. He can hang in the ring with anyone (as it was said, Cena might've been hanging with HIM, lol). He's also massively improved on the mic. Ever since his elimination promo, he's been much more comfortable, and last night, it showed. He's got charisma, his facial expressions are perfect, and this guy who everyone thought could only be a face is playing a heel extremely well.

He's got every tool, including a great look whether face or heel, and he definitely has a future ahead of him. Last night was awesome in terms of showcasing.

i dont thin that anyone has ever had any questions about the mans in-ring work. he is really decent in the ring. wrestles more of a tna style than a wwe style to me but that cools because there are only a handful of guys that wrestle that way in the wwe so its not over saturating. its kinda refreshing at times. the problem with gabriel has been his ability to handle the mic and his "height" not his weight as he weighs over 200 pounds, but with wwe's new initiative to push younger, smaller guys i think that he can be a major player in the ic and us title division especially when daniels gets his hands on the us title because i can see him holding on to that title for a while. hopefully by then the nexus will be disbaned and off to singles careers
