Another ice cream licker arrested; this one's in Louisiana

WBRZ Staff Reports 23 hrs ago

BELLE ROSE, La - Another person has been arrested for going to the grocery store and filming themselves opening a Blue Bell ice cream container and licking it.

Deputies arrested 36-year-old Lenise Lloyd Martin III is, from Belle Rose. The incident happened Friday at a local supermarket called Big B's on Highway 1.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a man taking a container of ice cream out the freezer, removing the cover, licking it, putting his fingers in it then covering it and returning it to the freezer.

A video appeared on Facebook by Martin basically showing what witnesses described to police. Authorities then went to Martin's home to arrest him but he was not there.

They then found him at the store where the incident occurred explaining to the store manager what happened. He showed the manager the video explained that he then bought the ice cream that he licked.

Martin presented to deputies and the manager the receipt for the ice cream which matched the one he contaminated. Authorities then searched the freezer and could not locate the container. Deputies said there was a continuation of the clip and you see Martin take the ice cream off the shelf a second time.

"We do know that he paid for a container that was identical to the one that he did lick and we could not find it on the shelf," said, Commander Lonny Cavalier of the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office.

Commander Cavalier said, based on the circumstance they have to conclude that he did buy the ice cream.

Martin was arrested and booked in the parish prison for the unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity, 1 count of criminal mischief for tampering with property.
An Edgar Allan Poe-worthy grotesque act.

Wasn't there an American kid who went to Singapore and did stupid shit and the police caned him over the hood of their car?

Maybe they were onto something, stupid people deserve harsh, stupid punishments.
What about having them eat the food somebody else spit out?

That seems like a just punishment to me.

all they need is the same piece of plastic that you get on tubs of sweets by which you have to physically break it and rip it off in order to get into it.

deters people from trying it as they would have to physical break the tub to get into it and at least anyone buying it can see if the tab has been removed.

not sure why you would need to do this but at the end of the day, they need to put warnings on bleach to warn people not to drink it. People are fucking idiots. These people doing this find it funny to do it to other people but I bet they would fly off the handle if they found out that someone had licked their food before they ate it.

Louisiana is hereby issued a yellow card in the State Person contest; copying the actions of Persons from other States instead of coming up with your own methed-out weirdo shit for your State's latest entry in the competition is an infraction. The State Person Game is not for copycats :cudi

Any Ben and Jerrys, Mackies etc. I buy has plastic I have to rip off to open the lid.

Are these kids ripping this off beforehand or is the ice cream not covered? Pretty much any dairy should be covered should it not? Sanitary and safety reasons.
