So I was given a Blu-Ray of Ancient Magus' Bride (another anime I'm late at starting) and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. It reminds me a lot of Little Witch Academia just darker. Even with the dark tone it's still very much light. Has a great soundtrack, cast, and story. Was planning on watching this when it first released, but I think I only got as far as the first OVA pre-anime.

Thought it was a very comfy experience watching it. Never watched Little Witch Academia, but if it's kind of like Ancient Magnus' Bride I might give it a go.

I'll do a what-I'm-watching-this-season sound-off because I just joined recently.

I don't read any manga or light novels versions, anime-only.

One Piece
Pokemon Sun and Moon: Ultra Adventures
Sword Art Online: Alicization
Gegege no Kitaro
Captain Tsubasa
Layton's Mystery Detective Agency
Black Clover
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Season 2
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind
That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime
Kakegurui XX
Mob Psycho 100
The Promised Neverland
Hinomaru Sumo
Karakuri Circus
Dororo

I might try watching Boogiepop Phantom and Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka near the end of the season because the Ep 1s made me slightly curious, but this season is so packed with continuing/new season anime that it was hard to fit anything new in, and the new stuff I did fit in had name-value behind it.

Yeah give that Promised Neverland a chance people I started watching it and it's really intense. Speaking about intense I started on the weekend Dororo rarely do I load up on Anime, but why the hell not when some of my favorite TV Shows are end I need to fill in the spots.

What I loved with Rurouni Kenshin whether it was Movie, Anime, or Manga I love about this Show. A pretty crazy story, and I can't wait for the Main Character to meet the person who cursed him with this life.

Doubling up on both of these. I've shared Promised Neverland with three other people and they've all gotten hooked by the end of Episode 4.

Dororo is pretty interesting visually. A lot of violence and the main character has such an interesting power-base. What I really like about it

is how Hyakkimaru technically becomes weaker with each body-part or element of his humanity that he re-aquires. His handicaps are his strengths and his handicaps being cured are his handicap

For sure when he was able to hear, you would of thought someone was torching him to death. I'm still sad that Mio died as well as the kids, it was sad to see him defendless vs those group of Soldiers. I thought Mio would be his Wifey, but her Song will the reason he doesn't turn animalistic
all the way. He should have all is body parts intact when he see's his Father, Mother and Brother I wonder what is going to happen with those interactions.

So I've been doing giant monster movie reviews on my channel and I thought I should check out some Animes as part of that series of reviews.

I just got done watching Neon Genesis Evangelion, including the movie.

What the hell did I just watch? I mean, I liked it a lot, but WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WATCH?!

Anno getting over a nervous breakdown while fitting it with Christian symbolism.

End of Eva was more of a fuck you in response to the backlash for the show’s infamous ending. Ultimately, the Christian imagery does not have any actual meaning behind it and was just used for aesthetic purposes. Those who try and find actual symbolism are looking deep for something that isn’t there. The franchise is incredibly rich in themes but I disagree with those who try and cite Christian symbolism as part of its depth.

Does anyone know if there is a good wrestling related anime out there? The new Tiger Mask doesn't quite do it for me, and I've watched all of Wanna Be the Strongest in the World (and felt super gross the entire time). Any suggestions?

Of wrestling anime there's:
Kinnikuman (1983) - sci fi, comedy, wrestling
Ultimate Muscle (2002) - sci fi, comedy, wrestling anime
Kinnikuman Nisei: Ultimate Muscle (2004) - sci fi, comedy, wrestling
Kinnikuman Nisei: Ultimate Muscle 2 (2006) - sci fi, comedy, wrestling
Tiger Mask (1969) - sports
Tiger Mask II (1981) - sports
Tiger Mask W (2016) - sports
Plastic Model Wrestling Sanshiro (1983) - think beyblade but the beyblades are wrestlers
Metal Fighter Miku (1994) - sci fi, mecha (kind of/maybe/not sure)
Wanna be the Strongest in the World (2013) - ecchi, sports

That's all the wrestling anime that exists. You could broaden it to sumo and get:
Notari Matsutaro (1990)
Rowdy Sumo Wrestler Matsutaro (2014)
Hinomaru Sumo (2018)

But there isn't really any other anime that deals specifically with wrestling.

I'm starting to catch up with this season, as now I've seen boogiepop, dororo, quintuplets and kaguya. I recommend dororo is pretty good besides the last couple of chapters, and kaguya for comedy.

Just finished the newest Episode of Promised Neverland from this week OH MY GOD!

Momma was always one step ahead of everyone amazing work by her. She got rid of Sister Kurone knowing her plans all along and her working with the kids, and she got her good in the end. I'm kinda mad Kurone was killed off, I thought she was a compelling character being a former child who was going to be food for Harvest and somehow she survived. I don't understand how she didn't put up a better fight than she did, but at least she left behind clues for the kids to find when they eventually find that package and pen she left behind.

It was pretty sick to see Momma Isabella literally break Emma's leg to keep them from leaving, she knows they would never leave one behind in their plans. It's even more crazy now that Norman is on the chopping block what the fuck are they going to do now, Norman isn't going quietly no way they escape without killing Mom. The kids found out what Momma will do to keep things in line, now the kids will need to take it up a notch.

Seriously, I think The Promised Neverland is anime of the year and we’re just getting started in 2019. Isabella is chilling as fuck and the fact that she can do all of this and be so many steps ahead of the kids after all they tried to do to plan an escape with a smile makes her terrifying. I’m vaguely aware of the manga, so this is refreshing for me and kind of makes me want to commit to the source. If you haven’t started this series yet in any form get on that shit NOW!
