Americans have always been very individualistic-caring more about oneself than what happens to others.

Whether it be gun violence or money, Americans don't care about what happens to others or if others live or die.

But will this mentality be the undoing of US? During a pandemic, what's needed is socialism not individualism. There is still no lockdown and people are refusing to stay home.

This could result in hundreds of thousands or millions of deaths. For some people, they will have to do the unthinkable-join hands with immigrants and minorities to contain the pandemic. Pandemics are globalists sorry folks.

So what will americans do when Corona virus runs wild on you?

It's not individualism. It's outright sociopathy and ignorance that's the American problem. Individualism is putting one's own health above others and therefore through selfishness stop the spread of disease, but in Corona's case the American sociopath is downplaying the virus as well as encouraging others to spread it through their conspiracy theories, religious fucktardism, and pretending this isn just a cold, all the while forcing people to work.

None of this is individualism. It's the worst kind of ignorance and collectivism. Even 500 years ago during plagues people didn't act as fucktarded as Americans of today.

Nah, it is more of how tribal American politics have become that whatever stance the other side takes, you have to oppose it for the sake of ideological purity or party loyalty. It is bonkers.

You can be socialist and individualist as well as be capitalist and collectivist. China practises the latter all the time these days. It’s not like these terms are mutually exclusive to one another.

It’s what @Reaper and @FriedTofu said.

Usual suspects more angry with America than China. Hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Would love to hear your thoughts regarding Italy, as people in those countries have also defied orders in spite of a much higher mortality rate. I suppose the Italian people are also greedy and deserving of their fate?

Gotta love these morally superior socialists having wet dicks over the thought of mass death.

Ironically, the results of this viral outbreak are eerily similar to the results of a socialism outbreak: empty grocery store shelves, sky-high unemployment, people struggling to make ends meet . . . it's like we all went to bed and woke up in a Bernie Sanders presidency.

As for America . . . If you think we're getting it bad, take a look at the E.U. . . .

Ouch. Outside of the incompetency of the government of New York, the U.S. is looking relatively fine.

It took hold later in the USA, do you not know how curves work?

I notice you missed Germany from your list too...

I don't believe anyone who lives in America can truly hate America. It's all a ruse. You guys love this country and you know it. It's why you choose to live here even though you are free to leave anytime.

Who said they hate Amerikkka? The first step to fixing a problem is acknowledging the problem, Amerikkka is a shit hole, now let's work on fixing it.

Well the lack of any universal healthcare certainly is going to have insane dire consequences.

The problem is that the very people who have made this country a shithole for everyone else live in the same shit but refuse to accept that it is a shithole because they've never experienced anything better. How would they even know what a real shithole is if they have no point of reference of anything better. These are also the same people who refuse to read books and expose themselves to knowledge too.

So no experience. No knowledge. Never left their shitty little bubbles.

They literally live inside their own fucking shit.

They don't give a shit.

Americans are responsible for millions of war crime deaths around the world. They call it "collateral damage".

More than half the people in this country have literally no understanding of value of human life. They don't care. No empathy at all.

They're indoctrinated, my man. They're surrounded by professors, actors, media personalities, etc. who all pretend to hate America and capitalism all while living lives of luxury thanks to both.

They're weak-minded, weak-willed, spoiled brats.

I'm sure you're an able bodied adult. You are free to leave any time to go live in a better country.

There are millions around the world clamoring to trade places with you.

Americans living abroad still need to file tax returns, which is why you'll see more don't move out as much as they could. Also a lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck in a system that thinks anyone earning under 50k is an unworthy rat, and therefore unable to save to move. Every American I've met visiting the UK has been a rich older person or a student. Whereas you'll find British McDonald's workers could visit New York if the wanted to (28 days holiday pay).

The fact is, with the majority of people being on incomes that are working to middle class, they'd be better off financially in a lot of European countries, able to go on more holidays, not have to worry about healthcare. But of course, misinformation about nonsense 80% tax rates (which don't exist, certainly not for the income above) and evil healthcare keeps enough people in their place. I've never seen an American actually break down the average wage in the US and compare the taxes and benefits of life to other countries. Instead they make up propaganda about how their lives would be worse if they stepped one toe into an evil European

Someone earning 50k a year in the U.S. can get by just fine, although things might be a bit tighter if they live in a major city.

If their partner also earns 50k, or even 25k... that's more than enough. A household income of 75k is hardly considered destitute. At the very least they have the potential to own a home.

If you hope to be a homeowner and also raise a family on a total household income of under 50k... and lead a comfortable middle class lifestyle... then perhaps you need to lower your expectations. Then again there's also no shame in renting, and there's also no shame in having a roommate.

Well I think every country feeds it's people propaganda, but how does that explain the amount of people from other countries that want to migrate here? If America is so inferior then why do more immigrants from the around the world choose to come here than every other country by far? Have they fallen for the propaganda too?

Could it possibly be that the world values the culture, the lifestyle and the opportunities that America provides?

1st of all its the United States (everyone from Canada to Argentina is an American by definition). But YES, I definately hate most people here in The States, seeing as all they care about is themselves and their bank account. They would rather rape the environment & fuck over their neighbors for a buck, then think about what they're leaving for their children.

There's a reason I spend most of the year abroad, and only return for a few months to see family.

Fuckin Morons, I tell ya! You do realize every civilized country in the world is socialist to some degree, including the USA?

Just because the Bolsheviks messed up in the USSR, doesn't mean you abandon the system. Hell if they hadn't been forced to waste all that money on the "Arms Race" they would have been able to do a better job.

But really Marxism should be the ultimate goal, unfortuantely humans are too greedy and stupid to function without a government telling them what to do.
