I'm talking about the ones that last like 20 minutes at the beginning of the show. Not the dumb ones like Anderson bringing the college professor out, that was stupid. But usually they're pretty, and I really like the worked shoot aspect of it, makes it seem more real. But best of all, I think they really do a good job of getting you pumped for the main event. Especially last episode, I thought it was great, and really made me stay up to watch until the main event. Props to TNA in this aspect

They're way to much, especially since it happens EVERY week. Its obnoxious to say the least. Its a wrestling show, not a promo show. To further a story you don't need to talk for 35 minutes at the start of each impact. Hell even a 5 minute confrontation is okay but jeeze, they go on and on and on and on its overkill.

I don't mind the long 20 minute opening segments, as long as they're good.

One segment to start the show, another one at the 10 o'clock hour & that's how it should be.

The rest should be matches & backstage promos.

Look who's talking, asshole...

First off, you are part of the IWC so you just owned yourself
Secondly, I suggest you lookup the definition of the word "dumb"
I know, I'm part of the IWC, O.K. ! That doesn't necessarily mean that I think like most the guys who are part of the IWC. When I watch a wrestling show, I'm not watching it like a smark, mark, "expert" ...whatever I watch it like how we here call it "casual fan". O.K. I try to enjoy myself not to search for storyline flaws (yes if there is a major flaw it hurts the enjoyment but sometimes people here are way overdramatizing.)... or complaining that there are not many 30+ matches with no build up on a TV show on which I can jerk off, seriously ! For example - what the hell was wrong with last nights opening segment? Anderson continue to play his asshole act which I and obviously going by the ratings a lot of people enjoy, a great 3-way match for the WHT was booked and a good main event was hyped. Everyone played their role, continue their feuds and building the future match - entertaining and usefull, but of course we get people bitching "where's the wrestling; oh now the refferies give promos; oh Anderson is so annoying"...and it just makes me want to scream to these people: "shut up and just enjoy the fucking show you crazy smarks if you can't than why the hell are you putting yourselves through this? I mean I can't believe that there are people who right every week how horrible Impact was, how they'll never watch it again, how the booking doesn't make any sencce and the same people keep writing the same stuff every week? Are you out of your minds? I don't like WWE, O.K. so what do I do, I don't watch the damn show and therefore you can't see me very often on WWE board to bitch about how pathetic their wrestling is or how horrible their segments are !

Immortal enters. they talk.

Face music hits. Face insults Bischoff and Hogan.

Face number 2 comes out and claims face 1 is being unfair.

immortal laugh and mock.

Hogan comes up with a 'main-event'

THAT, for some reason takes 20-30 minutes.

Yep. You and everyone else who thinks it the 90's and that every wrestling show should start with a promo. I am sure you like (and believe that every wrestling show should have) authority figure(s) having tons of camera time, top talent/world champion being in a constant battle with the corporate office, mentioning/bringing back ECW because its 'cool', and company conspiracy angles. You know...90's staples because its not like its 2011 or anything.

I want wrestling to move forward...plain and simple.

An opening promo makes a lot of sense. It's the time people tune in and see what matches/segments are coming on later. If you open with a match with no announcement of what is coming up, then I can't see many people staying tuned in, especially if the match involves a couple of nobodies like generation me. They don't need to open up with a segment all the time, and a simple announcement from Mike Tenay and Taz is suffice.

u kidding right ? this week it was actully alot shorter compared to last weeks! the hell were u watching ?
I never even said it was longer than the previous weeks. I'm just saying it went too long IMO. I thought the promos were way too much and fairly lame the last week too. Otherwise I thought this episode was decent/better than last weeks.

Awww, did I struck a nerve?

Look i agree with you on quite a few of your points but i wouldn't call the WWE's segments and wrestling pathetic. The problem is that TNA opening promos are too time consuming and that affects the whole show and TNA are trying to fit in too much in too little time as it is and that is one of the main reasons that the flow of the show might seem "awkward at times". As a fan, i do look past the flaws where i can but in some cases they screw up badly and one can't help but facepalm at the scenarios. It's sad because i really want TNA to succeed, Competition between TNA and WWE will be good for both companies and viewers but TNA aren't big enough to suffice as actual "Big" competition.

When it's the same people (Bischoff being the main offender) taking up the first 15-20 minutes of the show every single fucking week, there's a big problem. I don't know why tna do it, a 10 year old could tell you it's stupid and boring.

Eurgh they're appalling, so I tend to fast forward through them and just watch the matches. If it's somebody I find interesting then I'll listen, guys like Flair, Magnus, Williams etc.
