This thread is dedicated to one of the greatest wrestlers of the modern era in WWE, and the man who was one of the driving forces behind me coming back to watch WWE full time. He's a polarizing figure with for taking no bullshit, a promo machine that could go toe to toe with everybody including the Rock, and one of the best storytellers in the ring I've ever seen.

He's none other than C. M. Punk! :shockedpunk

Use this thread to talk about his illustrious career in the WWE, including his many allocades:

- 3 time World Heavyweight Champion
- 2 time WWE Champion (including a iconic 434 day reign)
- 2 time Money in the Bank Winner
- 1 time WWE Intercontinental Champion
- 1 time World Tag Team Champion
- 1 time ECW Champion
- Owner of 2 of Big Daddy Dave Meltzer's coveted 5 star matches.
- 2 time winner of Best on Interviews (2011, 2012), Best Gimmick (2009, 2011), and Feud of the Year (2009, 2011) as voted on by members of the Wrestling Observer.
- #1 on the PWI 500 in 2012
- 7 time Slammy Award Winner
- Married to the always hot as fuck AJ Lee

With that, drop your pipebombs here!

Re: All Pipebombs Belong Here: The CM Punk Official Thread

I've had my issues with Punk but I never doubted his talent and passion for the business. He was one of the best on the mic and in the ring; would love to have him back. But he'll always have my respect for standing up for himself.
That kind of passion is kinda what made me like him so much. He knew he had the talent to be the best performer in the company, and didn't take any bullshit because he knew he was right. Still a shame he doesn't want to wrestle anymore, but his WWE career is still chock full of greatness.

I was obsessed with his DVD when it came out. I watched it multiple times a week and seemed to learn something new each time.

I've always felt for him because I know what it's like to have pure passion for something. It made me sad that WWE snuffed out his. Or at least helped.

He seems happier these days. So, all the best to him.

@Dr.Middy; you are winning points with me left and right today, first Becky now Punk? :banderas

The feels tho :mj2

I miss seeing him and AJ, I mean I really miss them a fuckton. I got really desensitized with watching WWE for a bit after he left, that's what led me to create an account here. I wanted to see what people were saying about it, and give my input too.

Punk was inspiration for my username on here. :lmao

I'll never stop missing him in WWE. I don't care how he is outside of the ring, he was one of the best guys I've ever watched. Truly captivated me and made me believe every word when he was on screen. He had such a way with words, and could play the crowd like no other. He put some absolute classic matches on display, which I still watch and enjoy to this day on the Network.

Like just think of all the great matches Punk and feuds Punk had during his run. Cena, Brock, Jericho, Orton, Bryan just to name some of them. His match vs Bryan at Over the Limit 2012 is still one of my favourites and saved that show from being an absolute shitshow.

Punk was one of the reasons why 2013 was such a great year (alongside The Shield and AJ Lee). I know it was prob his worst year cos of all his health problems but I still enjoyed him then.

I still wish we could have gotten a proper feud with him and at least one of the Shield guys, most likely Dean. Ahhhh imagine the promo battles :mark:

Yeah, I'd love to see him wrestle again some day, and I could see that happening somewhere like a ROH where he could have fun with it. Despite what so many people say about people permanently leaving WWE, with his lack of a good relationship with HHH, the situation regarding his health, and how burnt out he got, I don't think we'll ever see him back there.

I really loved his DVD too. He comes across as a pretty cool guy, regardless of how he might be a diva sometimes :lol He'd totally be fun as hell to just chat with.

Punk leaving soured me a bit, but it was a combination of him, Bryan, The Shield, and The Wyatt Family all now in theory gone which has defintely made WWE not as fun as it was around 2012-2014 for me.

CM Punk will arguable be one of my favorite wrestlers of all time and I was glad that I seen him perform in person when he was down here in Orlando, Fl. CM Punk is one of those talents that has had it in him and he nailed everything out of the park. His cash in is still the best of all time to me when he cashed in his money in the bank case on Jeff Hardy in 2009 to win the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. When I seen him debut on WWE ECW, I was thinking, he was going to go much more further. He has busted his ass off to get everything he deserved to get. The company was going to write him off but he proved him wrong and I am happy that Paul Heyman stood up for him because someone had to. CM Punk is a gifted athlete and god's greatest wrestler in this current era. CM Punk is no doubt in my mind the best in the world and the best in the world to be a Hall of Famer. That is a lock. The rest of the haters can kiss my ass. CM Punk is the first and only ever Straight Edge WWE Champion in the history of the industry.

Re: All Pipebombs Belong Here: The CM Punk Fan Thread

I'm genuinely sorry. I missed this thread somehow.

Anyways, CM Punk's WWE title reign is my favorite one of all time. He had plenty of great matches, segments, and promos throughout this run. I was entertained by his work throughout his whole title reign. He was one of the best highlights about 2012 too.

Here is a tribute to Punk's classic title reign :mark:

Thise 434 days were just glorious to watch as a fan of his :banderas

Man I miss Punk and AJ. I think one of my favorite Punk moment was the contract signing he had with Cena for the WWE championship. He managed to bury HHH and Cena in the same segment :lol

I was such a fangirl for Punk between 2011 and 2014 when he left :lol Literally the only person that could surpass him was Dean when he finally debuted LOL.

Dude was just so fucking cool, and I love that WWE intended him to be heel in 2011 but the fans loved him so much it forced a face turn. The moment when he won the title at Survivor Series 2011 was so awesome, I was so happy for him.

EDIT - Didn't realize this was in the social section, so I just naturally wrote my feelings on the guy. Don't read below if you don't wanna read my criticisms about him. I didn't intend to put a damper on people's praise, just wrote what came to my heart..

Keep reading if you are cool with criticism as I'm not really looking to start a war..

Seriously... last warning...

Easily one of the most overrated guys of all time.

Very good on the mic, but wasn't that great with everything else. In fact, his long ass reign, along with the over saturation of AJ Lee are a HUGE reason I stopped watching WWE during that time.

Standards were much lower then in terms of work rate and look so I can honestly see him getting lost in the shuffle if he was still around right now. Best comparison would be Brian Pillman during the Attitude Era. Obviously WWE would push him beyond his abilities because he is over or whatever (look how they keep pushing Shinsuke when he clearly isn't ready), but it by no means proves that Punk would have any business being put in the same category as guys like AJ Styles, Braun Strowman or Jinder Mahal.

His title reigns were abysmal each time, but he would have one or two great moments. Really enjoyed the Money in the Bank match against Cena, his pipebomb promo, the Straight Edge Society until being jobbed out to Rey, and the fact that he doesn't drink or do drugs, but everything else he did was either bad or forgettable.

Despite being given even less of an opportunity that Punk had been gifted, Daniel Bryan managed to make a much bigger impression thanks to Punk's departure.

Crazy to think it's been almost 4 years since he's been in WWE. Time really flew by. Hope to see him back at some point... WWE needs a fired up Punk back on the roster. I know that probably won't happen anytime soon (with the lawsuit and everything) but I hope it happens before it's too late. Punk's in his late 30's so there's time to get at least one last good run out of him... even if it takes 2-3 more years before we see him again.

Re: All Pipebombs Belong Here: The CM Punk Fan Thread

Just saw this thread today.

For me, he is definitely the best all-round talent to come up in the new millennium. The man could do it all- talk, wrestle, play a heel or face, be serious or funny, do commentary, etc. I'll always hate the WWE for completely extinguishing the tremendous passion he had for pro-wrestling and making him so burnt out he had to leave. Fair play to him though, he seems much happier and healthier now.

I do hope he makes some appearance SOMEWHERE atleast- ROH, NJPW, or even some indy promotion.
