This is The Phenomenal One AJ Styles appreciation thread. He has held a total of 34 Championships. He has also
became the first Triple Crown
Champion in TNA History, and is also the first to earn that 3 times. He built TNA. He is Mr TNA. No matter how many times TNA try to bury him he will always be the face of TNA. He is just phenomenal and he should be world champion right now.

He doesn't necessarily have to be World Champion right now. But for everything he gave to the company, he shouldn't be in the position he is now. AJ is a unique character because he fits on any spot in the card (mid-card, main-event), but he should be "the measuring stick" of the company right now and he's not.

the main reason (and probably the only) you praise him so much is TNA. you name all these accomplishments and then you say "they bury him". you know wrestling is fake, right? TNA gave him EVERYTHING. including a clean victory over their Golden Father Sting at BFG.

I've never been a fan of AJ and despite him still looking like he belongs in an all gay porn, I do respect that he's stuck with TNA despite their fuckery. With that said, I don't think that he should be "the man" in TNA right now. He's been there, done that. Give Roode a shot (even though I prefer Storm by a country mile) to take the ball and achieve those same accomplishments. AJ doesn't always have to be in the spotlight.

Can I just say that he's getting really good on the mic. His Hardy tirade seemed, well...really real.

I have always been an AJ Styles fan since the beginning of TNA so it's pretty cool how much he has evolved, for better or worse.

I love the fact that no matter how many ridiculous booking decision, retarded angles, and tomfuckery kinds of matches he is involved in, he takes it like a professional and makes the best out of it. There was a time where I got sick of him (Two times: During his "Prince AJ" run and his heel World title run in 2010) but I've still been always a fan of his in ring work. It has evolved a lot. Styles used to rely on spots and high flying moves in his matches but now he tends to work on his mat skills and telling a story. He still uses spots but not as much.

Right now, his time as the face of TNA has passed. It's been passed. It should have been Mr. Anderson or Jeff Hardy but we both know how both of them turned out. Hopefully they get it right with Bobby Roode so AJ could be seen as a main event contender again instead of floundering in midcard heel. An AJ/Roode title feud would kick all kinds of ass.

Aj styles has had great matches with tommy dreamer & bully ray... that says a lot about the guy. Hes come a long way from the guy who was jsut flip flip flip.. AJ is one of the most fun guys to watch when he has a big match... hes created a standard not many can compete with in wrestling period!

personally i think the fact that the guy doesnt have a gimmicky look and focuses more on being a competitor in the long run helps he credibility.

However He needs more legit wins under his belt, he needs to squash a few has-bins, he needs that.

But in the larger picture what TNA essentially needs is some who is exclusively TNA, someone who has never competed for "the other company", someone young, extremely talented, has that star quality about him that just draws in interest from fans and viewers and most importantly, makes you care.

If TNA could push someone with these qualities and make him piss all over the older WWE "Sports Entertainers" in TNA and encourage progression through younger talent holding the major titles within TNA...

Well, id be watching a whole lot more of it.

Sting brought me to TNA before it ever aired on FSN... but Styles hooked me. Here's a guy that should always be near the top of the card and always hyped as a big deal on par with Kurt Angle or Sting. Yea from a historical perspective Angle/Sting are legends but from TNA's perspective AJ's done as much to build the company as either man. If IW was smart and respected their own history as much as the 90's companies he'd be the John Cena of IW... and he's one of the few guys I can think of that could pull it off without getting stale.

I like his work in the ring, but I'm scared by his crazy Jesus-loving. Since I suspend so much disbelief when watching Wrestling anyways it usually doesn't matter, but sometimes the thought creeps in.

in 2009-2010 he was the champ fo rmonths,he made a name for himself in the company and doesn't need a belt to be a maineventer. Now its time to give a chance to Robert Roode to get to that same level.
