AJ being left out?

But a half ass RVD gets in?

I don't hide that I'm a huge TNA fan. Its the only wrestling show that I watch, so I look forward to Thursday nights every week. I have been so happy with this great run they have been on with great story lines, progressing characters, great booking, ect...

I just can't wrap my head around why they are pushing AJ Styles to the side. The crowd loves this man. He is the entire reason I want to make the drive to Raleigh, NC on September 22nd to watch Impact. If they ruin what could be an epic feud between Aries/AJ I will really be disappointed. He has no direction at the moment right now either. The Claire story line was a flop, so now he just kind of in limbo while Rob fucking Van Dam is in the main event of No Surrender. Hoping Joe wins at No Surrender so it won't be a total disappointment.

Not true. If RVD loses to Bully Ray next week and Hardy beats Joe, Bob Van Dam would be out of the final four.

I was shocked to see Styles losing, but then I thought about it again and I came to the conclusion, that they still have enough time to give us the dream match between Aries and AJ. I don't exactly know, in which direction they're heading with Styles right now, but it can't get much worse than Claire Lynch. Be patient...
Surprised they didn't put AJ in the final four. Aries vs AJ is a match that needs to happen while both are in their prime.

Make it happen soon TNA. :D
Styles/Angle vs Kaz/Daniels at BFG tbh
This. It's the only reason I can see both AJ and Angle not ending in the final 5. And who else can Kazaniels fight, especially when they're supposed to get their comeuppance for their dastardly shenanigans? Neither Chavo/Hernandez or Gunner/Kash make much sense in those circumstances.

Hopefully that'll be an end to it though, and AJ can feud with someone else (Aries!!) and Kazaniels can rejuvenate, and then dominate, the tag team division.
i too was surprised(and dissapointed) to see aj be left out. i thought after hardcore justice with him winning the ladder match that hed be in. and in his match with joe, after he countered the chocke hold and got joes arm that the match would end with aj getting 10. but surprisingly, joe countered that into a pinfall.

it sucks that either rvd or hardy(maybe even both) will have a spot in the final 4, but both aj and angle are left out. oh well. wonder what they will do at bfg now.

they aren't real teams

they are just main eventers being denied their main event spots for another 6 months and given something to do JUST 'CAUSE

Dan and KZ have been in actual tag teams before and their time to be world champ has each come and gone
he will get in if Bully Ray is DQ-ed in his last match.

Pretty much. As much as the AJ/Daniels feud has been overdone, it needs a big payoff at TNA's top PPV.

AJ's time will come when this Aces and 8's storyline is in full flow.
I was shocked when he got pinned, I was certain they were going to go with Aries vs AJ Styles at BFG. None of the other possible matchups look intriguing. I guess perhaps it will be Aries vs Storm vs Roode after all.
he will get in if Bully Ray or RVD is DQ-ed and if Joe defeats Hardy.
FIFY.

Mathematically, AJ is still in.

Another thing, they only mentioned Storm was already guaranteed a spot in the final four, when in reality Joe is too. However, Joe needs to beat Hardy if he wants the number one spot and choose his opponent in the semi-finals.

Apparently, TNA isn't very good with calculations.

You got worked bro. FWIW it appears, they worked the entire fanbase, as I think many were thinking AJ was destined for the final 4. I said last week in the Episode discussion thread :

Also everyone seems to be counting Jeff Hardy out of making it to the final four but there is still a small chance he could slip in there. I'd rather the final four be Storm, Joe, Angle and Bully (which allows them to give us Hardy vs Robbie E at No Surrender) but don't count out TNA booking Hardy to sneak in at the very end.
AJ winning was to keep him in play leading into the final few weeks...and in turn Hardy actually flew under people's radar as being a possibility to sneak in.

Now I'd advise not to count Hardy out as the one to win and face Aries at BFG, unless the plan is for one of Joe or Ray to be associated with the A&8's. Hardy and Angle are the biggest draws they have on the wrestling roster so Jeff makes a ton of sense to be in the main event. A win for Aries over Jeff would be a good rub and a great way to further put Aries over for TNA.

AJ is not still in because he has no more matches left to increase his pts and he is not above the red line.

Apparently you aren't very good with calculations either, let me break it down for you.

It's like this, here are the standings right now:
1) James Storm 73 points
2) Samoa Joe 68 points
3) Rob Van Dam 55 points
Bully Ray 55 points
5) AJ Styles 50 points
6) Jeff Hardy 49 points

If Jeff Hardy loses he stays at 49 points, done. Then Joe will move into the number one spot as long as he doesn't get disqualified. If Bully Ray or RVD get disqualified then they lose 10 points which will take one of them down to 45 points and the other will gain 3 points so the standings will then look like this:

1) Samoa Joe 75 points
2) James Storm 73 points
3) Rob Van Dam/Bully Ray 58 points
4) AJ Styles 50 points
5) Jeff Hardy 49 points
6) Rob Van Dam/Bully Ray 45 points

lol, highly doubt the Bully/RVD match will end in disqualification. But I definitely did not think of that shit.
