I was joking but you're right. They do need stories badly.

Literally anyone is better than Tony. I hate Russo but I'd take him just to get this guckung company having a identity and creative. They should honestly put JJ In charge of creative but also have other guys help him. So far behind the scenes he's helping even though its hardly much Tony is letting him do. Changing all Atlantic to international belt was a positive and the live house shows so far have worked. There's other stuff he

Perception is heavily against AEW at the moment.

Here's a ratings outlook based on the 3 upcoming tests for AEW to correct the ship (IMO). Fail all 3 and perception will drastic go down :(

The first test begins around mid-April.

For WWE, rumours likely resurface about Saudi Arabia buying WWE again (in May). For AEW, Punk will return.

For a window of time, WWE probably feels tumultuous again, while AEW feels like a hot product. If this eventuates, it'll be 2 perception-challenging events occurring at the same time, and each with good reasons for a consumer to question their brand loyalty... so it's AEW's first chance to drastic go up.

If nothing changes when August hits, then AEW will enter the second test.

In August, the build for All Out will give AEW a chance to redeem something that was lost last year. All eyes will be on the product as WWE settles into a new norm. Brand loyalty for WWE becomes more stable after this window shuts. That's test #2.

It gets much harder if they don't hit a home run by All Out.

At that point, the 3rd and final test will be the MJF bidding war of 2024 storyline paying off in January 2024. This partly hinges on WWE disappointing fans during their first WM build with a new owner.

So

Test #1 - the Punk return + WWE sale (April/May)
Test #2 - the creative build to All Out (August/Sep)
Test #3 - the bidding war of 2024 storyline (January)

The numbers don't lie... these 3 tests will tell us if they spell disaster for AEW
Put the pipe down lmao

AEW Rampage

Viewers: 474,000
18-49: 0.18

Highest viewership since 13 January, highest 18-49 rating since 23 December. This is higher than I expected with the 12:06am start time , even with the strong NCAA lead-in. I can imagine there was a big Q1 to Q2 drop though.

Last two months

3/10: 447,000 / 0.15
3/3: 394,000 / 0.10
2/24: 409,000 / 0.11
2/17: 287,000 / 0.07
2/10: 375,000 / 0.12
2/3: 406,000 / 0.11
1/27: 458,000 / 0.14
