There's been a lot of free agent movement over the past few years and I feel like it'll be easier to have one thread instead of a bunch of little ones.

This includes anything regarding available free agents, upcoming AEW contracts that are ending and recent AEW acquisitions.

Fightful keeps a updated list of free agents. Here it is for reference. Pro Wrestling Free Agents | Fightful News

Damn I miss golden age TNA 2005-2006, shit had its own identity and wasn’t a complete cuck of a promotion for WWE. Shit even their partnership with AEW was better than this lol
Partnership with AEW was a disaster too. I even mentioned that TNA partnering with WWE would just lead to being WWE’s bitch as an exchange for getting some additional publicity. And here we are. I’m just waiting for the ownership announcement at this point because WWE is alerting their daddy. 🤣
AEW/TNA partnership kinda ended up being shitty for both promotions. I don't think AEW mentioned TNA once on TV and in return, AEW got The Good Brothers

Not a huge AEW fan(overall), but seriously this is Tony’s time to shine and I think with RTruth’s contract fuck up, and now Kross being treated like garbage, Tony K, you have the money, he smart(that doesn’t mean taking everyone but if WWE/TKO doesn’t want to throw money around then let Tony do it, but smartly.

Sign people who actually want to be there and sign them long term. AEW is not a lifeboat for ex-WWE talent. At least it shouldn't be anymore. Kross for example absolutely wants to stay with WWE and has said it multiple times in the last week, so no. He’ll get over in AEW as "Killer Kross" and probably try to go back to Daddy Hunter like 'See do you want me now!".

He needs to make it work with WWE. You’re already over actually, so it’s not on TK to fix HHH’s mistakes. And I only say that because I’ve seen a lot of people already making it seem like it’s a foregone conclusion that Kross is jumping ship and that TK would “be stupid” not to take him. How about no.

I think the 2025 signings so far have been smart ones, particularly for the women.

I think it would be a terrible look for AEW to sign Del Rio given how big of a deal Khan has made calling WWE, the harvey weinstein of pro wrestling only to sign someone like Del Rio.

This is why Del Rio shouldn't be signed by ANYONE imo

I had a hearty as hell laugh when TK said that WWE is the "Harvey Weinstein" of Professional Wrestling.

It's not that he's necessarily "wrong", but I remember Tony glorifying/promoting the Knight/Bevis Family (who have a long history of doing some very shady and naughty stuff) and gaslighting the public into thinking they were "heroes" at the biggest show in AEW's history, while once again promoting them at the next All In London show months after the Weinstein comments.

I agree that Del Rio shouldn't be signed to ANY company given his terrible reputation, but TK isn't all that clean when it comes to promoting certain wrestlers, even calling the Knight family during a Media Call "wrestling royalty in the UK" is a massive fucking yikes in my humble opinion.

Feel like Maki to AEW would have happened years ago if it was going to happen when she had a lot of buzz. Since then she's grown a lot as a wrestler, but there's been no mention of her in AEW. Not to mention that while AEW does kind of work with TJPW, mainly to use Yamashita here and there women like Willow occasionally wrestling there, they've mainly gotten into the Stardom business since they've been able to.

I don't know if WWE/NXT would have the interest now. If anything, she does a lot freelance work in the US so I would expect that to continue. Marigold could use the boost though I don't know if she'd be interested in that.

Didn’t he say he was going to retire soon and the last contract was going to be his last? If he does go to AEW, I can just see it be a 1 year deal or just work at AEW without a contract(just have a few matches)
This is a clear sign he wants the Bucks to retire him. 😜
I don't see it, he has always been very sure he is retiring before he runs out of steam so to speak. I think he may have signed the extension due to him likely ending his career with an injury had he not(his last contract would have ended before his return). I still expect him to retire when this deal is done.
I don't know whats gonna happen, but if it comes down to it, trade Jericho for AJ Styles. Both sides win.

AJ has said he doesn't want to go beyond 50, and he's 48 now. Now, to be clear, wrestlers lie or change their mind all the time. Remember when Edge was acting like he didn't know how much he had left towards the end of his WWE run, only to show up in AEW and now has been wrestling more than ever (for better or worse).

I don't ever try to figure out what a wrestler is thinking or how they're feeling, but AJ going either way wouldn't surprise me. If he goes to AEW, he can set up a couple year run there for himself and work Omega, Ospreay (when healthy), Fletcher, and others on the way out. And if he's in WWE, he can work around the midcard like they've been having him do recently and I'm sure he'll have some kind of job afterwards if he wants it.
