I think Khan would get rid of the tag titles before the trios. He has an obvious hard-on for 6 and 8 man “tag” team matches as it is.

 

Letting Daniel Garcia go will not have any effect on the program whatsoever.

Kevin Owens... I can see it happening. I'm like 90% sure he will entertain the offer atleast. He can't be completely happy with being a supporting character act in WWE for the last few years.

 

To be fair, AEW can’t give him any more than a WrestleMania main event with Stone Cold. Based on what he has said previously, I say he re-signs with WWE, but you never know.

Garcia doesn't know what he wants to do. AEW uses him well now (better pushed than he should be) and NXT will also use him well. I don't think there's a wrong decision for him at this stage of his career.

AJ & Kevin's contracts coming up around the same time is interesting to me. Both are guys who have been in WWE for about a decade. They've had great careers all told. But you could also see them leaving to do something different with people they know in AEW if the money is right.

For AJ, he's 47. So if he signs another deal, it very well could be his last one. So does WWE want to invest in someone who's that up there. In my opinion, absolutely, but who knows. Also, does AJ want to be tied down to another full time contract. I think he will as the money will be there and he can still go.

And with Kevin, he chose to stay in WWE in 2021 when perception wise WWE certainly was not at its hottest compared to AEW. In 2024 that has completely flipped. I won't be surprised if this time he decides to go the other way.

 

I don't see what they would bring.

I doubt Vikingo was ever under any contract outside of those per-appearance deals.

Vikingo is the case of someone who's very talented, super talented, but is going to have a ceiling, even in AEW.

In AEW, he might break out, or he might just end up as a guy in the Conglomeration or with Alex Abrahantes and having random 6-mans all the time. Which, to be fair, isn't a bad gig if you can get it. And in WWE, I mean they've got no Cruiserweight Division and the average height is even bigger over there. Unless he could make it work in a tag team, I don't see what he does there. NXT could get something out of him but I don't know what role he'd play on the main roster.

 

So I just watched Takeshita vs. Mike Bailey and that was a great match. And that made wonder if there's a chance of him signing with AEW when his TNA contract expires? I'm not too keen on AEW signing more wrestlers but he's one of the exceptions.

 

I really like Mike Bailey. Better him than signing a 50-year old ex-WWE guy to a retirement contract. Also, I think he comes across as an eloquent speaker, so maybe he just needs a little direction to be a good promo?

 

I don't know about you guys but it would be cool to see him return to WWE
