It would stop parents buying it for their kids. And they make a huge part of the video game industry.Meh - let it drop with M
won’t stop literally anybody from buying it

we can’t be comparing GTA to an unknown wrestling title.it won’t stop parents - they buy gta for their little monsters
In the original context, ie against GTA, it is unknownits not unknown - lets not pretend there isn’t a dedicated fanbase buying it no matter what
Why are you going to ignore the statistical proof posted by someone earlier in this thread? That Teen rated games do better than mature rated? Let’s not forget that AEW blew their budget with this game. They need to maximise profitability and it’s all well and good saying “kids still get M games”, but you need to back that statement up with strong facts and evidence that it will do just as well as a teen gamei mean…. Dead island then
or dead space
parents have been buying their kids horrible shit for ages, why are we pretending its gonna stop now?
People saw this game as a vessel to grow the business and now I can see people are settling on “the hardcores will buy the game” because of mUh bLoOdZi’ve not seen statistical proof - i’ve just seen a comment
and a general one at that - it won’t be valid until it compares T vs M on a known entity
like would Silent Hill as a known entity sell better at T vs M
There is a reason why AEWs game has gone back and forth with the ratings board. It’s because they want the T rating. They know what will make them the most money. You can’t just say “dedicated fans will buy it anyway and word of mouth will spread”. That might be true. But that is also true if it’s teen rated. A teen rated game will simply reach a wider fanbase. Fact.and the other 50%?
i can understand THQ wanting it T to hedge their bets on a new property, i just don't think it will make any difference - and i've seen no data of a sequel to an M game going T, or a remaster of an M game going T doing more sales to disprove my opinion
