Wow I actually watched dynamite for the first time in ages to see where collision would be, and had no idea this was a go home show....
Tony has a really bad tendency to overload his Go Home and Fallout shows full of characters not involved in the PPV, whilst only giving his PPV acts short snippets. It’s really odd and makes no fucking sense from a promotional standpoint, but again, Tony’s wallet isn’t tied to AEW’s financial success.

*I only started the show halfway into Orange vs. Fletcher but from what I saw it was pretty good. Fletcher seems cut from the Ospreay build though obviously not as good yet. And while I get people being sick of Orange in this role, he usually delivers in this role, like he did here.

*OK I hate saying this, but God Juice Robinson sucks. Hearing him screech every line of dialogue is just so annoying. And not in a "oh he's a heel" way. More in a "channel changer" way. And his stuff in the ring lately hasn't been enough to make up for it. I hate him working with Ricky as it's done nothing for Ricky. He is anchor to Jay. This feud overall just sucks, and we're not even getting a payoff on the PPV between Ricky & Jay. Whether it's next week on Dynamite or even on the 1st Collision, please just end this feud as soon as possible.

*Another thing I haven't really enjoyed is FTR/Briscoe/Team J&J stuff. I mean, I've enjoyed the comedic moments like when Team J&J went to Mark's house. But so far everyone in this story has just been made to look dumber. Like Mark, I know you're friends with Lethal, but it's obvious they're using you. I know you're mad Dax hit you with a Piledriver, but it's obvious he didn't know it was you. This story has tried to balance comedy with drama and to me it's a lot better when it focuses on comedy.

*The House of Black Rules seem kind of silly when they have so many rules, there's not much left for the Dealers to pick. I also don't love the light show that happens during their matches, though I liked how they did the last match better. But, I do like they are putting effort into making HOB feel unique and special. And this was a solid, dominant win for them. I assume they're facing the Acclaimed & Gunn at the PPV, or somewhere after.

*The Pillars segment was nothing special but it was at least smart in letting MJF do most of the talking and having Darby be the 1 other guy to talk back to him.

*I was happy to see Lady Frost get a chance on a bigger stage and she looked solid. The match was more designed to make Taya look good, as it should have been, and the crowd didn't care much for the match as a whole. But overall I was happy for Frost.

*The actual Contract Signing part of the segment with Cole & Jericho was done well I thought. Nothing amazing or over the top, but Cole got his anger for Jericho across very well. And Jericho did a good job of being a dick by showing the replay of Britt getting beat up.

But I laughed so hard at the reveal of Sabu as Cole's back up. As if the JAS went "oh no, a guy who's almost 60's who has a hard time getting around! Let's all stay in one spot and let him throw a chair at us!" Like, it's one thing when they do this with Sting, because it's Sting. But Sabu? I mean I know TK is an ECW mark but eh.

*Garcia vs. Strong sounds like a strong match on paper but the crowd didn't really care for most of it. And honestly I was kind of there with them.

*The main event delivered from an in rings standpoint as you would expect it to. The stuff after the match was a bit awkward. Like the Bucks come out and cost them the match. They escape into the crowd.....and then they meander around and just stand in the crowd while Mox cuts his promo in the ring, most of the time not even looking at them. And Omega & Hangman are nowhere to be seen for the closing shot. I might have missed an explanation as to why they weren't there, but regardless them not being there did take away from this.

So overall I would say this is a show bookended by 2 pretty good match and most everything else in between could probably be skipped.

Well I enjoyed the show.

Sammy cut the best promo out of the 3 pillars.

MJF delivered a great promo as usual to sell the match.

Jericho/Cole sold their match well too.

BCC was the highlight of the night 🔥

He IS just a mark. That’s why he isn’t entertaining and never has been. Terrific worker in the ring, because he knows paychology, just has no clue how to be a character.

But again, I’m just glad to see he’s no longer parading his daughter in front of these fans in hopes of garnering more love.
Agreed he is a mark who can wrestle. Was never a fan of the daughter thing either. Not a fan of FTR's title reign thus far. Sadly they lack some spice. Maybe they should turn heels.

Pretty abysmal go home show. Didn’t bother watching the main event. Still trying to get Yuta over? Give me a break. The group looks like 3 grown men wrestlers and their tag-along kid brother. He’s not a badass, or anything close to it. They should go the Dominik Mysterio route with him and get him some heat as a chickenshit. I could see him doing well in that role.

OC vs Fletcher for 20 minutes? Didn’t watch it, because let’s be serious. This guy opening every show with 15-20 minute matches is ludicrous.

Thought MJF’s promo was average. Darby was alright. Not a very memorable or exciting segment leading into the PPV.

Not remotely interested in Taya Valkyrie. They should maybe prop Willow up as a bigger star now that she beat Mercedes and they mentioned/show it. The crowd already likes her. Double down.

Cole and Jericho wasn’t a bad segment, but the fans were sitting on their hands for half of it. As was I. Cole was out there trying though. Sabu, again, a weird choice that doesn’t exactly even up the odds, but okay. Nothing against him though. Just adds a weird and possibly unneeded element here.

Dustin Rhodes and Big Bill need to be on this show every week.
Jeff Jarrett needs to join Bullet Club Gold. He’s got the gold connection to make it work.

I like Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin. Dean Malenko should have came out and joined Adam Cole. He has history in WCW with Chris Jericho.
So did they ever get around to Kenny Omega being shown that video of the Bucks not cheating on his behalf a long time ago that a few certain people on this forum insisted was the big payoff to the story?

Or was that all someone’s fantasy booking?

Well, Dean would not be new, since he works for AEW. Plus, I think he has Parkinsons, so he may not want to be on TV

What about Lance Storm?

Jeff was already in the Bullet Club briefly during the AJ leadership era.

They did that on BTE. Turned out, in a swerve, Kenny knew all along and wasn't bothered by it because it showed true friendship between the Bucks and Hangman. The Dark Order were threatening to cause dissension between the reformed Elite, but decided against it because they wanted Hangman to be happy.

This show is just so full of motherfucking geeks everywhere. I mean my God. It's only slightly better in WWE. American TV wrestling sucks fuckin balls.
Someone on a wrestling message board calling the performers “motherfucking geeks”. That’s rich!

This trio from last night's ROH tapings would have been a much cooler challenging unit for the trios title.

Bandido, Vikingo and Komander... holy lucha!

Those who stuck around also got to see The Wrestler. ROH tapings looked better than Dynamite tbh.

6/10 is about where I had this Dynamite. Honestly, TK should've never brought up the CageMatch ratings, since they have no value LOL
Last night's show was pretty underwhelming, especially for a go home show.

Loved seeing the House of Black like always. Looks like they booked the Acclaimed match on Rampage. Why not give them an extra segment on Dynamite? Instead TK would rather book OC endlessly taking up TV time, its honestly frustrating. They didn't do anything substantial for the BCC/Elite feud which sucked. I'm over the 4 Pillars stuff. Not happy about Jay White not having a singles match at the PPV. @RainmakerV2 I was wrong.

The Adam Cole/Jericho feud has actually been damn good. Best Jericho feud since AEW's early days.

Lady Frost is great, but Taya Valkyrie has been meh outside of her banger entrance music. Hoping Jade retains. Wasn't into any matches last night outside of the main event, which was solid but un-eventful. I'm not usually this negative but last night's show was no bueno.

Hyped to see that CM Punk is officially confirmed.

Bring on Double or Nothing....and Night of Champions. Gonna be a good Sunday, I plan on watching back to back lol. NOC replay right before DON goes live.

Overall: 4/10

Hm. It's possible this is true, but Steve Carrier is a total nutter. I have a hard time believing anything he reports. He's in the same league as a Billi Bhatti.

I really didn't like this show at all, nor many of the talent featured on it. So many feuds I could give two shits about as well.

I believe the post above. You could almost hear a penny drop throughout parts of this show when the 100 people that were there weren't making any noise.

You keep shoving all these geeks down people's throats and people will eventually get bored of it and find something else to do. At least, that's the way I'm starting to feel about AEW.
