NXT is producing loads of interesting and unique characters that will eventually be called up to the roster, and one of them with the most potential is Adam Rose. As you saw in those two debuts vignettes that aired on RAW with the party bus he is playing a character very similar to Russel Brand's character, Aldous Snow, in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get Him to the Greek".

Take note of the epic similarities! :mark: :mark:

I really think this character could become huge if done right and his in-ring style matches up to the character. He will certainly have to walk the line to avoid becoming a comedy character, but I think he can be perceived as entertaining and cool if his in-ring style is vicious as well as fun.

He won't be a huge star, the best he can hope for is probably a Reality Era version of The Godfather. Which is not a bad spot TBH.

Leo Kruger was way better. I like Rose but I must don't see him making it far. Kruger was gimmicky but at least he wasn't a comedy gimmick. He plays the gimmick well it just won't get him far.

That's all he's supposed to be doing. Why do people act like everyone on the roster has to be some badass future main eventer? The roster is stacked and he hasn't got a chance in hell of making it past the lower-midcard or even onto the main shows with a serious character, so he may as well have a gimmick that is fun and memorable.

I don't like the performer behind the gimmick (I seem to be one of the only people who couldn't stand Leo Kruger) and the gimmick sucks, it's babyface Fandango. There's no legs to the gimmick at all, he's just gonna get pushed in the midcard for a month and then he'll be jobbing like Kofi. Which is fine but pointless, we've got enough jobbers.

And how many fucking dancing/party/fun/effeminate geek gimmicks do we need? Adam Rose, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Emma, Santino, Xavier Woods, R Truth, Brodus Clay and Tensai/Funkadactyls, 3MB, etc. I'm tired of this fun, lighthearted, goofy, let's mock the business character craze. Do Vince McMahon and Triple H know how to do ANYTHING besides party gimmicks and squash gimmicks? You're either a goofy, dancing dolt or a bland, stonefaced, blank expressioned monster heel. Where the fuck is the creativity?

Adam Rose, previously Leo Kruger, is one of the better wrestlers on NXT right now.
He's a gimmick character now though.

I've only watched NXT since it started airing on The Network, but from what I have seen of this gimmick, it looks like something that will only make it as far as a midcard comedy act. Now I may be very wrong on this, but the gimmicks screams Fandango 2.0.
