The most overrated and boring wrestler of the past 5 years easily. I stopped following NXT when he became a major focus and he sucks in AEW as well.
Yeah it seems like fans these days find the more dorky smaller wrestlers appealing these days. I would never take adam cole seriously as a world champ. He also talks like a dork and acts like one. Exposes his video game life. Fans cream over his nerdy catch praise

I didn't agree with Jericho losing to Strong either, that was the wrong call. Jericho has taken so many L's that beating him doesn't mean much anymore. But all the segments I've enjoyed, even the Britt Baker beating. I knew what they were going for so the weak swings from Saraya didn't really take away from the moment for me, I kind of just watched with an open mind. Plus we haven't seen a segment like that in a while from any company that I recall. Still have to give AEW credit for booking fresh stuff or at least trying to create intrigue/heat whereas in WWE for the most part everything is cookie cutter to the max. Jericho taking a shot or hitting a Codebreaker ala Orton hitting an RKO on Steph back in the day would have been cool though.Think the feud has been rather lackluster. The apex of the feud feel pretty flat with Britt Baker being ahem absolutely slaughtered with a few kendo stick shots. Doesn't really work in a promotion that has had women bleeding from hardcore matches numerous times. They should have allowed Jericho to take a shot at her if they really wanted heat. Add in Roderick Strong randomly facing Jericho after 1 interaction and it becomes a question of why they had Jericho being beaten going into the big match after Cole cost him the match [Pretty much already a form of comeuppance].
They have had Adam Cole challenge for the world title more than Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes combined. And he’s likely getting a shot at MJF soon as well.He was weighed down by the elite thing. He worked so well when he was leading the Undisputed Era. In AEW, they slapped him in with the Elite and suddenly he wasn't the most important guy in a group. Slowly, fan perception just chipped away and like many on AEW, he just became another guy because TK is a people pleaser and wants to give his favorites equal airtime (and he has a lot of favorites).
No one besides MJF and CM Punk are A-Tier because TK doesn't seem to know how to people manage and everyone is sort of in the b-tier because of inconsistent, timid booking.
I don't think TK can book AC properly and it is sadly up to Cole himself to find a way to get around the booking decisions. He's a smaller guy but doesn't wrestle like an underdog, therefore him being a group leader works as a part of his presentation. It's a shame if they can't get Fish back or if KOR can't return from injury because i think that's his best hope.
Depends which smaller wrestler it was. MJF is believable despite his size. AJ is believable despite his size. Ilia dragonov isn't remarkably tall but is very believable and works a gimmick that doesn't insult your intelligence. That's the hardcore market. Abd only half of then do. Rest of the world no
This really is the biggest issue for Cole. He is the reverse Brian Cage. His offense paints this picture of a heavyweight bruiser, but he isn’t even of average American male standards, let alone that of a main event professional wrestler.Depends which smaller wrestler it was. If Cole was in 2013 shape before his knee injury he would not be an issue. But when you have guys like Pete dunne and even Tyler bate who are either viscous in ring or insanely strong Coles failings really are glaring.
Cole needs to be 215 of muscle at least or work a style that suits his size
I just don't get why he doesn't adopt the statham diet or sheThis really is the biggest issue for Cole. He is the reverse Brian Cage. His offense paints this picture of a heavyweight bruiser, but he isn’t even of average American male standards, let alone that of a main event professional wrestler.
He ruined himself the minute he entered AEW and did a fucking hockey fight with Luchasaurus who has a roughly 8 inch and upwards of a 100 pound advantage on him.
No offense but you actually think Cody Rhodes could stand toe to toe with Brock Lesner in a real fight? But you blast Cole? The size difference between Brock and Cody is more than the difference between Cole and most of his AEW opponents.Hes a tremendous talker but its hard to take any of his threats seriously when he looks like that. I mean im no athlete but I legit think if I met him in a dark alley I don't think im some huge underdog. I mean Jesus.
I don't care about Cole's body type, but this is a bad argument. First off, Rey is faster, more agile, and more athletic than his opponents, plus he's a luchador, that's how he wins. That being said, he is, and has always been marketed as an underdog, while Cole is supposed to be main event level, but there's no standout ability for him to be showcased in the ring. He's not stronger or bigger, not a better a wrestler, not more technical, not faster, not smarter, not a better striker, etc. than his opponents. Or if he is, we definitely haven't been shown that as viewers. He just usually wins, because why not. There's not much to him in regards to the physical side of pro wrestling, and I'm saying this as someone who likes Adam Cole purely based on his mic work, charisma, and entrance. So Adam Cole is not an acceptable body type, but Rey Mysterio is?
Uh....they are simply portraying Cole as a better wrestler. That's why he wins. It's not that hard to accept.I don't care about Cole's body type, but this is a bad argument.
