Best Brawl: Jerry the King Lawler vs Bill Dundee, Loser Leaves Town 30/12/85 or Jerry Lawler/Terry Funk NO DQ 23/3/81

Best Technical Match: depends on how you define 'technical' in a wrestling context but Flair/Steamboat, Dandy vs Llanes 1994 and Flair/Windham BOTB II 1986 would be hard to differentiate.

Best High-flying Match: again hard to cover high flying, are we counting junior matches which feature cool displays of athleticism, can matches which are better more for the story fit in here? If so Eddie vs Rey Halloween Havoc 1997, Ohtani vs Ultimo Dragon 1996 or Liger/Sano 1990 are my favourite cruiserweight/junior matches.

Best Hardcore Match: Foley/Orton was incredible, guess you could count HHH/Cactus Street Fight as another term for Hardcore so I'll go with that.

Match with best storytelling and psychology: Slaughter vs Sheik Boot-Camp Match 1984. Perfect match, captures the character dynamic and story to perfection, the All Japan tag is a fine choice but personally I just wanted to include this match somewhere :p.

Best Spotfest Match: wouldn't call it a spotfest, but Batista/Taker Wrestlemania 23 was a great bomb throwing match with them just delivering great feats of strength and impressive spots.

Best Icon vs Icon Match: Randy Savage vs Ultimate Warrior Wrestlemania 7

Best Deathmatch: Megumi Kudo vs Combat Toyoda- Barbed Wire Deathmatch FMW. Women's hardcore match that is better than most matches that men have put on.

(I wanna see this flourish. I get good info on matches worth watching from threads like these, and this is, potentially, the best one.)

Best Brawl: Jerry Lawler vs. Terry Funk, No DQ, March 23, 1981, as Segunda Caida says. Just saw this one again and it still blows me away.

Best Technical Match: Bryan Danielson vs. KENTA, Glory By Honor V Night 2

Best High-flying Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio, Halloween Havoc 1997 (Maybe not the prototypical "high-flying" match or even the best but it's what initially turned me on to that kind of wrestling, one of my favorite matches of all time)

Best Hardcore Match: Cactus Jack vs. Triple H, Royal Rumble 2000

Match with best storytelling and psychology: Chris Jericho vs. Triple H, Last Man Standing, Fully Loaded 2000

Best Spotfest Match: Triangle Ladder Match between The Hardy Boys, The Dudley Boys and Edge & Christian, Wrestlemania 2000/XVI (I find it's aged better than the subsequent TLC matches, honestly, as a "spotfest match" that still conveyed a linear storyline)

Best Icon vs Icon Match: Antonio Inoki vs. Ric Flair, Festival for Peace, Pyongyang, North Korea

Best Deathmatch: Nick Mondo vs Zanzig at ToD2, couldn't think of one to top the one presented by Cactus
