The 1995 Royal Rumble is widely considered the worst Rumble event of all time due to primarily to the depleted, mostly non-descript roster.

However, let's say that the same wrestlers who appeared at that show were there in their absolute primes. Using the same guys, how would this Rumble sound:

1. Shawn Michaels, DX (Jan 1998)
2. British Bulldog (summer 1992)
3. DOA 8-Ball (fall 1997)
4. Duke Droese
5. Jimmy Del Ray (1993)
6. The Barbarian (1988)
7. "Dr of Desire" Tom Pritchard (1993)
8. Doink the Clown (Matt Borne, 1992)
9. Savio Vega (1996)
10. "The Model" Rick Martell (1990)
11. Owen Hart (1997)
12. Timothy Well
13. Sheepherder Luke Williams (1987)
14. DOA Skull (1997)
15. King Kong Bundy (1986)
16. Mo
17. Big Daddy V (2007)
18. Sheepherder Butch Miller (1987)
19. "Total Package" Lex Luger (1989)
20. Truth Commission Tank (1997)
21. Justin Credible (1999)
22. Henry Godwinn (1996)
23. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn (1999)
24. Bart "The Hammer" Gunn (1998)
25. Bob Backlund (1982)
26. Steven Dunn
27. "Captain *******" Dick Murdoch (1984)
28. Wrath (1997)
29. Rikishi (2000)
30. Brian Adams (2000)

Again, the object of this is to make a disastrous Rumble as appealing as possible. What versions of these wrestlers would you use?

This will be a fun way to kill a few minutes....

1. Shawn Michaels (1996)
2. British Bulldog (1992)
3. Blu Brother (1994- Had a bit of cult following, believe it or not)
4. Duke Droese (early 1996. He once beat HHH!)
5. Jimmy Del Ray (1993)
6. The Barbarian (1992- When WCW pushed him as top contender....for some reason)
7. "Dr of Desire" Tom Pritchard (1993)
8. Doink the Clown (Matt Borne, 1993)
9. Savio Vega (1996)
10. "The Model" Rick Martell (1990, probably)
11. Owen Hart (1994)
12. Timothy Well (1995)
13. Bushwhacker Luke (1987 I suppose)
14. Blu Brother (1994)
15. King Kong Bundy (1986)
16. Mo (1993)
17. Mabel (1995)
18. Bushwhacker Butch (1987 I suppose)
19. "Total Package" Lex Luger (1993)
20. Mantaur (1995)
21. Aldo Montoya (2000)
22. Henry Godwinn (1995)
23. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn (1998)
24. Bart Gunn (1998)
25. Bob Backlund (1994- I'm sure early 80s is the 'right' answer but that bores me & heel Mr. Backlund ruled)
26. Steven Dunn (1995)
27. "Captain *******" Dick Murdoch (Something pre-87- aka before my time. Could never get into this guy)
28. Wrath (1993? Probably something from his WCW run that I've seen very little of)
29. Rikishi (2000)
30. Crush (1993)

You could do this same thing with any Rumble and 1995 will still come out worse.

Thanks, corrected that.

You could argue that 1992 Crush was the height of his career.
You could but you'd be wrong. 1994 heel Crush (pretty much the same one who walked out at Rumble) would be the correct one with 1996-97 Nation Crush coming in second. Kronik would be dead last, if you ask me.

Not exactly what you're asking for, dude, but a better Royal Rumble 1995 would have had Bob Backlund (WWF Champion) vs Owen Hart as the WWF championship match - yeah, heel vs heel - with Backlund granting Owen the title shot as payment for helping him win the title from Bret at Survivor Series 1994. Owen would win the title in this match. In the Royal Rumble match itself, I'd have had Bret Hart winning, setting up a Bret/Owen championship match at Wrestlemania 11 (closing their storyline and giving Bret some retribution over his loss at Wrestlemania 10). I'd have had Diesel and Shawn Michaels eliminating each other at the Royal Rumble, setting up their Wrestlemania match.
