The best 4 Raws building to a PPV are from October 19th 98 to November 9th 98 followed by Survivor Series 98, one of the most entertaining PPV's in history.

As for Nitros, from June 16th 97 to July 7th 97 followed by Bash at the Beach 97, one of the better WCW PPV shows.

Leading to Royal Rumble 2000
Leading to Backlash 2000
Leading to Judgement Day 2000
Leading to King Of The Ring 2000
Leading to Summerslam 2000
Leading to Backlash 1999
Leading to Royal Rumble 1999
Leading to Survivor Series 1998 (as mentioned)
Leading to Wrestlemania 14 (more than 4 shows needed)
Leading to Royal Rumble 1998
Leading to Summerslam 1998

So many more but these are all MUST WATCH!!!

this is an interesting topic, I've often thought about watching a whole month build-up then the PPV itself.

that's gotta be some 10 hour tackle though right?

i would think so lol…..it might take some time but i'd def like to tear through a few months…..i have every nitro ever and every raw from 97-02 ….i also have every WCW ppv from 97-98 and every WWF/WWE ppv from 84 to 2010…..basically i have a lot of potential things i can watch…..just looking for a fun starting point from the real wrestling fans on here…..
Every nitro and PPV after Hogans heel turn in WCW was epic.

So anything mid 96-mid to mid 99.
I'd make a start with the road to Mania 14 personally but then again 97 has some great builds also
Pretty much WWF Rumble 98 to Mania X-7 is all gold
WCW Nash/Hall Arrival to Jan 4th 1999 Nitro

Good choice, i started somewhere between end of SS and Breakdown when they were setting up the triple threat.

The bulid up to WM2000 easily trumps WM17. In fact, most of the PPVs in 2000 have good build ups.
Mania 17 took a backseat to the purchase of wcw.

It surprises me that you would say that but each to their own. IMO apart from the 2 episodes when Vince and Foley returned it wasn't all that great but 2000 was an incredible year overall. Road to Mania 17 is worth watching for the Rock Austin interactions alone. The crowds are astonishing for all their segments and when Rock gets the first stunner you can barely hear JR over the fans reaction.

I only say that because a few weeks were given to Kurt/Benoit and Rock/Austin were in fact fighting over which corner Debra was going to be in. However their pre match promo may never be toppled ever. And they still manged to make music latter on in the year. They were pure gold together.

I am struggling to come up with a month of nitro which was considerably better than the rest with in the period.

September 14, 1998 The night after Fall Brawl to the Nitro after Halloween Havoc.
Spring Stampede 1999 to Slamboree 1999 had a lot of good stuff.
Fair point. Kurt and Benoit deserved a longer build as did most of the feuds to be honest but Rock and Austin exchanging finishers and the promo you mentioned is enough in my book to make it special.
The thing with Mania 17 is that they had five Raws and five Smackdowns, which means ten shows to produce between NWO and Mania. That's a lot, especially when you wanna build a face vs face match, where both men are very limited with what they can do and say to not hurt the status of the other one.

That's why the first two weeks kind of fell flat. Debra is not a problem for me because she was needed to make the feud personal and intense. From the moment Austin stunned Rock because Debra was attacked, this thing was on.

By the way, OP asked for only four weeks of build up and with only Raw shows, not both Raw and SD shows. There's a difference.
