I've actually had to exclude quite a few movies otherwise we'll be here all day. But I just thought it was interesting to know that a lot of classics have anniversaries coming up this year. Gives me an excuse to dust off some of my Blu-ray's & DVD's :)

:wow

Man time flies... Felt like yesterday when I marked out for Blade, Rush Hour, Demolition Man and etc for the very first times.
Anytime I think of Blade this scene immediately pops into my mind...

:lol

Great taste though, I own all three on Blu-ray so I'll be watching them again this year :drose

Two of those movies also make me miss Wesley Snipes so much. If only he had been more sensible with his taxes :mj2

Snipes was great for sure. One of my favorite actors of that era. I really can't think of any movies he's in that I dislike.

That 30 year anniversary is a really strong lineup.

True Romance is 25 years old :brady6

Well if this thread doesn't make some of us feel old,
i'm not sure what will.

Cheers OP :D

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang may have been released quite a few years before my birth,
but it still brings back so much nostalgia for me.

Spent many a sick day watching that film during my youth.

Anna Quayle truly was my first crush,
Crazy to think she is in her 80's now.

Awesome memories.

My childhood :mj2

Can't believe all the movies and stars I grew up watching are that old or are sadly no longer with us. Van Damme, Snipes, Bruce Lee, Arnie, Sly, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey etc. etc. Blade, Demolition Man, The Fugitive, American History X, Jurassic Park, Rush Hour, Groundhog Day, The Big Lebowski etc. etc. Killer shit and a murderer's row right there. Time sure does fly by.

And my favourite movie, White Men Can't Jump, came out 25-26 years ago :(

Even the ones that are 10 years old shock me.

Now all we're stuck with are crappy sequels or remakes of these classics.

15 years ago...I experienced a moment I'll probably never experience again in a movie theater. I experienced one of the greatest movie scenes to ever be put together in film.

Now, this version you're seeing here is the extended version, what I saw in the theaters was a bit different. But the main aspect, the rohirrim charge, still occurred in full. And no matter how long my life is, I hope that the feeling I had when seeing this scene in the theaters is one I never forget. It was truly an unbelievable experience.

Dude, I am completely with you! To this day that scene still gives me chills & goosebumps. It's easily my most favourite cinematic moment throughout my lifetime of seeing movies. It's the perfect embodiment of heroism to me.

Reading Kill Bill and then seeing "vol 1" after it.

Even 15 years later, this is still lost in translation. :lauren

Jesus Christ, I can't believe how time flies.

The Dark Knight is going to be 10 years old? Jesus. Seems like yesterday internet parodies of the film were fucking everywhere.

The MCU turns 10 years old this year? Whoa.

Return of the King hit 15? Remember when LOTR was the hot shit? Ah, those were good times.

The Waterboy is 20? Oh God, I loved that movie when I was a teen. Do I dare even attempt to find out if it holds up?
