I am sure you all probably heard about what Matt Riddle said about Goldberg. Honestly, I like both guys. I love Goldberg and his legacy, and Matt really seems like a rising star with a lot of potential. My opinion: it is way too premature for him to be making statements like that. Goldberg is just a total legend and Matt really hasn't done much in the world of wrestling just yet.

But honestly, I love the idea of Goldberg coming back for Summer Slam. These legends just have tons of charisma and personality, something that today's superstars really lack.

Well...Ziggler's going to get squashed.

I mean there is literally no other way this goes, right?

Goldberg is one of my favourites and I always pop huge for the spear....... When he is facing elite competition. I don't like the idea of Goldberg returning for a match that has just one week of build up and not a very big match either.
In a way I feel sorry for Ziggler. Its a shame because that was a great segment with Shawn Michaels on SDL, for me it got Ziggler some traction.
Goldberg vs Shane would be a good one I think, kayfabe wise it is a more even match and their gimmicks would play well off each other.

Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler's one of my favorites, but he's got to be a 100-to-1 underdog here. This'll be a massacre benefiting absolutely no one.
OwenSES and Emmanuelle like this.

No. Ziggler will be professional in his match with Goldberg. That match that Shawn had with Hogan was an embarrassment. He should have been fired for being such an unprofessional prick.

Ziggler will probably make Goldberg look good, all Shawn did that night was show the world what a joke of a wrestler he was on that particular event.

Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

Bizzare. Absolutely bizarre is my only description for this. Here are my ramblings out loud;

Obviously, everything in and outside kayfabe screams Goldberg squash. My question is then "why?". Squashing Dolph achieves nothing outside the nostalgia of seeing Goldberg. Is Goldberg vs Dolph really going to add any subscribers or sell any more tickets?

Ok, if they just want a Goldberg match, why Dolph?

Is there anyway at all they want HBK vs Dolph at some point? I'm trying to take a step back and just think under what circumstances Dolph could actually win?

Why is HBK even here?!?

WHY? WHY? WHY? This is driving me insane!

My drunken thoughts..... I feel sorry for Ziggler. Its like Goldberg - why don't you pick on someone your own size or your own league even? These type of matches isn't what made Goldberg a hero. I think it's a pretty valid point for a drunken guy......what do you think? I have had five cans so I feel like quite the rebel now. 😀

I dunno, really weird setup, wwe clearly wanted the crowd to go insane over the prospect of ziggler vs michaels and they just didnt really. Michaels stood infront of ziggler for ages and the crowd just didnt care.

I wouldnt be surprised if wwe pulls michaels back for another match at mania next year. I get the feeling the michaels sticking around like he is, is some kind of tease for the future because I can't see any reason why hes still knocking about.

overall Im not expecting this to be a long match, probably near a squash. WWE isnt going to want goldberg wrestling for long after his last match.
