Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

Okay but... like, why though?

I know the real reason is Vince can't get over his hard-on obsession with older stars who were popular back when his penis worked, but I mean in kayfabe here what fucking reason does this have to exist?

Miz vs Ziggler made kayfabe sense. HBK vs Ziggler made kayfabe sense. What fucking reason does Goldberg have for fighting Ziggler?

Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

He's obviously getting squashed, but this match is a lot more high profile than Ziggler vs Miz so I don't mind it. Not to mention we've seen Ziggler/Miz 1000 times before. No one knows how many matches Goldberg will have left so it's nice that this match can happen. Not many on the current roster can say they've wrestled Goldberg.

Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

Does anybody really care about this match, Oldberg, or Dolph Jobber? I honestly can't believe this is even happening. All Out can't get here soon enough.

Re: Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

The pop Goldberg got tells me the casuals are happy about this.

Not sure what to expect here. Hopefully Goldberg makes it through the match without bonking his head.

You're right, but it's still stupid. You've got one guy who is going to be around post SummerSlam & could use the rub a big win over a legend could give him, and another guy who is most likely never wrestling again & gains nothing from winning this. I hope they go for the surprise & give Dolph this win, would be huge for him. Doubt it though sadly.

Given the disaster that was Goldberg vs The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia, they could benefit from having this match go 5-10 minutes to show that Goldberg can last longer in matches and repair the damage done from the Saudi show. Ziggler could carry the match well and sell brilliantly for Goldberg. Squashing Ziggler in one minute just shows everyone that Goldberg is still so incredibly limited in the ring and it accomplishes nothing, but sadly that is the most likely scenario.

Ziggler has zero chance of winning so I'm not bothered by that. As much as I like Ziggler he's not the right guy to beat Goldberg anyway given his age and the part time schedule he has now. It feels like Ziggler's career is wrapping up and he would not benefit from the rub of beating Goldberg as much as a rising star who was 10 years younger would.
