Why Charlotte Flair winning over Trish Stratus is the best thing moving forward for women's wrestling in WWE
Well it has been set and Charlotte Flair won over Trish Stratus.
Trish did the right thing in giving the torch or the win to Charlotte Flair, Trish was handed the perfect storybook ending so in someways it was time for her to give that someone else.
Trish losing was the best thing for the WWE women's division moving forward. The reason why I say that is cause for the past 15 years a lot f women were under Trish's shadow to the eyes of Vince McMahon.
Charlotte represents the new wave of what women's wrestling should be about in WWE level, regardless of how you feel about Charlotte, she has the perfect tools and she should be what new upcoming women wrestling should follow instead of the model look that Trish had.
Regardless of how great Trish is, she reprsents the antiquated look of women's wrestling. She was pushed for her looks and her model look propelled her over women who had the talent but maybe did not have the sex appeal.
That sucess that Trish had made the standard worse for WWE women's wrestling for the last decade where Vince focused on hiring models over talented women wrestlers. That shallowness lead to mismanagement of talented women wrestlers and overpush of model looks. I am not saying Trish is to blame but her success gave an indirect impact to holding women wrestling back by 10 years.
Charlotte winning this shows that possibly WWE is ready to move forward and focus on pushing women with talent instead of women who happen to be beautiful.
What do you think?
